Little Brother - 'And Justus For All' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
The Hall of Justus Music Group is proud to present Phonte and Big Pooh's return as Little Brother with the official release of ...And Justus for All. The North Carolina duo and founding members of The Justus League have made a major impact on Hip Hop by successfully combining the classic 90s feel of such groups as A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul with production and subject matter that remains current with the times. Little Brother made their first appearance in 2001 with the release of the single 'Speed' which addressed the trials and tribulations of becoming a recording artist and maintaining a 9 to 5. They were introduced to the world in 2003 via their cult classic album 'The Listening' which landed them on a national tour with Hieroglyphics. A deal with Atlantic Records ensued which was followed by their sophomore album the Minstrel Show. Phonte and Big Pooh continue in 2008 where Getback left off in 2007. ...And Justus for All features guest appearances from rap legends Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Skillz and Cormega while giving shine to Rap's up-and-comers Rhymefest (Mark Ronson) and Oh No (Stones Throw), as well as shedding light on there Hall of Justus crew rhymers. With fourteen tracks guaranteed not to disappoint, ...And Justus for All gives fans what they want: fresh lyrics, relevant content, strong production, and a roster of supporting rappers guaranteed to satisfy even the most fickle. Be on the look out for big things to come out of these Halls in 2008 and make sure you go out and cop ...And Justus for All.

Raashan Ahmad (of Crown City Rockers) - 'The Push (w/ FREE 'Unreleased EP' CD!)' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
This album was born out of me. I have been in a live band for the last 8 years and have learned so much about different rhythms, genres, methods, and musicality, which has been a beautiful thing. But this album is a return to basics, that good ol’ boom bap, the beats and rhymes. I needed to get in touch with the other side of me, the side of me who loved Run DMC, BDP and the 808 machine. It was where I started as an M.C. and I needed to touch that again. As an M.C. in Crown City Rockers I try to be as varied as the music that we create. My writing is for myself as well as an audience as diverse as our crew. It is a challenge that I love; one that pushes me out of my comfort zone and inspires me to improve my talent. Without the skills I acquired from being in a group with such talented musicians I never could have made a solo album that is, in a word, selfish. This is a non-collaborative effort born out of my own fears, insecurities, observations, triumphs and tragedies. It is therapy over beats. – Raashan Ahmad.

Killah Priest - 'Behind The Stained Glass' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Longtime Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and Brooklyn native, Killah Priest returns with Behind The Stained Glass, the highly anticipated follow up to the 2007 acclaimed The Offering. Introduced to the world through a deeply spiritual, lyrically sharp verse on 'B.I.B.L.E.' from GZA's Liquid Swords, Killah Priest's first album, Heavy Mental released in 1998, was filled with intensely spiritual lyrics loaded with metaphors and religious references. Ten years later, this former Sunz of Man group member is back with Behind The Stained Glass proving his passion for quality rhymes and quality music. The album contains sixteen tracks of Priest showcasing why he is considered as one of the top lyricists in the game. He opens with the thunderous track 'I Believe' and on 'Hood Nursery' he puts a clever, gritty spin on a classic nursery rhyme. The album features appearances from 60 Second Assassin, Allah Sun, Jeni Fujita and Victorious. Behind The Stained Glass is what fans continue to beg for and Priest describes it himself as 'me tapping into the inner priesthood side I think people need more of.'

Big Twins - 'The Grimey Collection' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
As a precursor to the Big Twins album later this year, Dirt Class Records compiles The Grimey Collection. Containing hard-to-find buzz songs, mixtape bangers and exclusive debuts, The Grimey Collection wets the audience's appetite for that true-to-the-streets QB brand Hip Hop. This Spring, Big Twins appears on Prodigy's album HNIC2, a surefire release set to garner the attention of fans and critics alike. Twins' appearance on this highly anticipated record brings the seasoned vet into the public light like never before as a viable solo artist, and sets the tone for The Grimey Collection and his coming solo LP. On this project, you find collaborations with West Coast heavyweights Alchemist and Evidence (of Dilated Peoples), along with QB cohorts, Ty Nitty, Big Noyd and Godfather. Mobb Deep's own Prodigy spatters this release with his signature swag by both introducing the project and contributing two songs and Havoc laces Twin with a gruesome beat on 'Sold My Soul'. A project that puts current albums to shame, The Grimey Collection is just the beginning… Keep your ear to the streets.

Giant Panda - 'Electric Laser' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Giant Panda has returned! Giant Panda's debut album, Fly School Reunion, dropped in 2005 and was received by unsuspecting ears that caught the raw sounds bursting forth. With their sophomore effort however, Giant Panda has evidently 'graduated'. Electric Laser is the name of the game, and GP plays it well. The production, foremost, is in many ways its predecessor, and yet it isn't . The drums still bang, with snares and kicks dominating the forefront of a large portion of the production. However, the melodies, chops, and loops aren't 'traditionally' jazzy or funky (that's not to say they don't have that type of quality, so to speak). Rather, thick, electro-fused samples are laced deep in the cuts of this record providing a much more futuristic but very present musical landscape. A track such as 'Justin Case' is a nice introduction to newcomers (just in case you didn't know) but also an introduction to the style of the album to already established fans of Giant Panda. The writing on the album is what makes it stand out more prominently for those already aquainted to GP. Humor (see 'CinemaX', 'Do The Robot In Cyberspace') and more serious notes (see 'AIM', 'Let It Go') are found all throughout the album, showing a different side of the Panda's fur. Like a caged animal, Giant Panda can rage with speaker pumpin' tracks such as 'Speakers Pop' and 'Speakers Funk'. The album was also recorded and mixed on analog tape, giving it extra warmth and harmonic punch. Overall Electric Laser is a step foward for Giant Panda, but still honors its true school mentality for their original fans.

Time Machine (Jaysonic, Comel + DJ Mekalek) - 'Life Is Expensive' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Time Machine is making a name for themselves these days…one party at a time. The trio of emcees Biscuit and Jet Set Jay, and DJ / Producer Mekalek is playing all the hot weeklies from Dim Mak Tuesdays and PYT in LA, to Roxy Cottontail’s Heartbeat in NY, and winning over fans with their seamless set of high-energy party rapping and tongue-in-cheek synchronized dance routines. However, the east-coast bred, LA-based squad knows that every night has its last call, and that much of life is what happens before doors open the next evening. And so, on their new album, LIFE IS EXPENSIVE, the crew balances the rolling good times with a shrewd awareness of the cost of living… both literal and figurative. From the a-day-in-the-LA-life observations of “In The City of Everything”, to the humorous storytelling of “The Unfortunate Twist”, and the jaded generational angst of the album’s title track, back to the psychedelic utopianism of “Something We’re Becoming”, Time Machine shows that having range is all in a day’s work. The song-writing overflows with DIY attitude, and Mekalek’s mostly hi-speed production boasts heavy drums and rich melodies every time. Auxiliary producer Stoerok makes the album’s soundscape even more dynamic with hiscontributions of “Mountains” and “Who Cares?”. Time Machine’s recent MIA and Kid Sister/Janet Jackson remixes have been doing it big on the blogs and on the dancefloors. Now celebrated club producers like Scottie B and Dave Nada are taking stabs at reworking TM’s own music. All of that momentum promises to keep steamrolling with the release of this new album, and the many parties to come. LIFE IS EXPENSIVE, but it can also be a whole lot of fun.

Esoteric (7L & Esoteric Present) - 'Esoteric vs. Japan: Pterodactyl Takes Tokyo! (w/ FREE 'For Hachiko' + 'Pterodactyl Time Line' CD's!)' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Continuing a historic and coveted twelve year career and following up 2006's critically acclaimed A New Dope, the street-tested, hipster-approved new sound of 7L & Esoteric has evolved again. The electronic fun of their last group record, (compared to Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique by several publications including HHC), and the hellish tempest of abrasive sounds and untouched samples that defined Esoteric’s “solo” studio offering Egoclapper now gives way to yet another full-length opus. No one is safe! Nuclear testing has resurrected this Jurassic Age relic and now the emcee/producer known to the U.S. as Esoteric has risen off the coast of Tokyo Bay bringing chaos, crisis, and hysteria with him. Armed only with the sounds of 70's and 80's Japanese classics, Esoteric must strike against the uncompromising forces that aim to dismember him. He calls upon Godzilla, Rodan, Force Five, Ultraman, the Shogun Warriors, early Japanese surf, punk, and electro bands, and even the Japanese Spiderman to aid him in his fight. The sound he created, which he calls 'Mecha Mecha,' stands as the boldest of the daring directions Esoteric has taken his music. With his recent genre-bending efforts such as A New Dope, Egoclapper, and Esoteric vs. Gary Numan, the world needed to hear how he handles the beautiful country of Japan. Much tokusatsu is brought on this feature length epic depicting one man's struggle with life as an English speaking Bostonian. AUTOGRAPHED BY ESOTERIC!

All Natural (capital D + DJ Tone B) - 'Elements: Fire (w/ FREE Poster!)' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Those who say, “They don’t make hip hop like they used to,” need look no further. On May 6th, Chicago’s hip hop veterans All Natural, are back with a new album, Elements (Fire). “Fire” is part one of a four-part series in which each album will represent a different natural element and hip-hop vibe. True to its name, Elements (Fire) represents hip-hop’s aggressive boom-bap sound made popular during the mid-90s. MC cap D sets the album’s tone on the initial track, The All , with an aggressive battle rap in which he shows that he is still on top of his game. On past albums All Natural has displayed a variety of sounds and flavors, however Elements (Fire) is “in your face” hip-hop throughout. The only exception is on the song Stronger than Love, a smooth and soulful track on which cap D kicks a classic story about the correct way to hustle. Another album highlight is Signature Flow, a rough reggae track featuring Chicago legend Grav who spits an ill ragamuffin flow alongside his friend Noyd. Bringing new faces to the game is a staple in the All Natural formula. On the production side, “Fire” places veteran producers such as Kev Brown (De La Soul and Raheem De Vaughn) and cap D (All Natural and J-Live) alongside newcomers such as Proh Mic, Kalico, Gee Field and Battletek. On the lyrical side, All Natural introduces labelmate Rita J (whose solo album, Artist Workshop, drops fall 2008). On the song Good Life, Rita and cap D define...

Roots - 'Rising Down (w/ FREE Questlove Afro Pick!)' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Grammy award winning hip-hop trailblazers The Roots are set to release Rising Down on April 29th via Def Jam Recordings. Known for their prolific lyrics and live instrumentation, the Legendary Philadelphia crew is composed of Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter (vocals), Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson (drums), Kamal Gray (keyboards), Frank Knuckles (percussion), Kirk “Captain Kirk” Douglas (guitar) and Owen Biddle (bass). Garnering critical praise throughout their career, The Roots have firmly established themselves as a band with uncompromised artistic control and integrity. With Rising Down, the band’s 10th album release, The Roots continue to take bolder steps adding new depths and range to their repertoire. The Roots co-founder ?uestlove states, “This is probably our most political album to date dealing with addiction, nihilism, hypocritical double standards in the prison system and overall life in Philadelphia. I'd say it’s more mature and intense than all of our efforts but not a ‘downer’ as most people expect us to do.” The political nature of Rising Down is not only heard within the music. The title comes from William T. Vollmann’s treatise on violence entitled Rising Up and Rising Down, and the release date falls on the 16th anniversary of the Los Angeles riots sparked by the acquittal of the police officers accused of beating Rodney King. Standout tracks include: “Criminal” a reflection of life on the streets and unjust pers...

To date, Blue Sky Black Death have also collaborated with and/or produced for the likes of Guru (Gang Starr), Sabac Red (Non-Phixion), Jus Allah, Wise Intelligent (Poor Righteous Teachers), Rob Sonic, Virtuoso, Chief Kamachi, Holocaust, A-Plus and Pep Love
(Hieroglyphics), Mikah-9 (Freestyle Fellowship), and Awol, amongst many others. Now, owing to popular demand and to showcase their unparalleled versatility, Blue Sky Black Death seamlessly cull together their vast and eclectic influences (which range from lounge to electro to classic boom-bap hip-hop) with 'Late Night Cinema.' An offering as bold as it is diverse, 'Late Night Cinema' substantiates Blue Sky Black Death's overwhelming acclaim as one of today's most promising production teams, and in so doing transcends both expectations and traditionally ascribed genre boundaries.

Portishead - 'Third' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Named after the shipping town where founding member Geoff Barrow grew up, Portishead formed in Bristol, England, in 1991. Despite limited publicity and touring, the group rose to international acclaim in the 90's with two groundbreaking studio albums, Dummy and Portishead, as well as a live album featuring strings by the New York Philharmonic orchestra.

Now, after going 10 years without releasing any new material and only performing live a handful of times, Portishead has returned with a much-anticipated new studio album, aptly titled Third. While the album's striking, solemn march will surely resonate with those who fell in love with the group in the 90's, Third is evidence that Portishead has grown and evolved over the years, yet remains as innovative and original as ever. The album affirms the group's innate ability to craft music that is both delicate and powerful - breathtaking, timeless songs that transcend genre and defy comparison.

Dizzee Rascal - 'Maths + English (w/ FREE Sticker!)' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Dizzee Rascal, veteran of Roll Deep crew and winner of the prestigious Mercury Prize 2003 for his Boy In Da Corner album, has created what could easily be considered the definitive grime recording, Maths + English (also nominated for a 2007 Mercury Prize in the U.K). Definitive Jux releases Dizzee Rascal's Maths + English on April 29, showing the proper respect to a recording that offers a brutally honest portrayal of UK city life. Whether Dizzee is going at it with American gangsta rap legends Bun B and Pimp C [R.I.P.] on 'Where's Da G's' or paying his dues by collaborating with UK drum and bass legend Shy FX, there is a palatable sense of desperation and simmering violence throughout Maths + English especially on tracks like 'World Outside' and 'Paranoid'. The assault of metal guitars on the just what the fuck have I done rant 'Sirens' is offset by the smartass backchat of Lily Allen on 'Wanna Be' proving that the more musical ground that Dizzee covers on Maths + English the end result is a perfect vehicle for one man's voice and vision. The album will be released in stores for the first time in America.

L.I.F.E. Long - 'Longevity Vol. 1.5' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Starting off as a member of the NYC based crew Stronghold on the side of C-Rayz Walz, Immortal Technique, Breez Evahflowin and Poison Pen AND After countless battles, open mics, collaborations (Anti Pop Consortium, Cannibal Ox, Mike Ladd, Aesop Rock, Killah Priest…), mixtapes and Eps, L.i.f.e.long releases his first solo album ‘Longevity’ featuring Mista Sinista of the X-cutionners, Iomos Marad (All Natural), Apani B Fly, Breez Evahflowin and Poison Pen in a boom bap meets Native Tongues spirit…
Few artists in New-York’s vast sprawling independent scene can truly be called a complete artist, But if there's one mc that embodies the term, it is certainly L.I.F.E Long. As a member of the seminal Stronghold crew, L.I.F.E quickly became recognized as an undeniable force on the independent hip hop scene. Standing out in a crew that countains indie phenomena like C-Rayz Walz (Def Jux), fan fave Breez Evah Flowin and rhyme rebel Immortal Technique, is no easy feat, but L.I.F.E Long succeeds effortlessly, making his presence felt with every live and recorded performance. Straddling the linest between classic boom bap and the edgier avant-garde hip-hop music that emerged on the lower east side of the late 90’s, L.I.F.E made stand-out appearances on a number of crucial projects. Appearing on such classic albums as Antipop Consortium’s “Tragic Epilogue” with Pharaoe Monch, and the record that ushered in a new area, Cannibal Ox’s “The C...

S.O.U.L. Purpose feat. Block McCloud, Poison Pen, Murs, C-Rayz Walz, Wordsworth, Immortal Technique - 'The Construction' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
The crystallized result of one man’s unflappable drive and determination to make shit happen, The Construction’s every word is S.O.U.L. Purpose front runner Mazzi’s life in Chilltown, synthesized from eyes to his brain and straight out his mouth. No subliminals. If you’re the type of cat who needs a co-signer, we got Wordsworth, C-Rayz Walz, Murs, Special K, Big Zoo, Block McCloud, Paze and Redskin all leaning in heavy on this one. Immortal Technique gets my vote for best guest turn on track 18 - “The Other White Meat” (brutal). But really though, it’s tracks like number 5 – “Tonelle Avenue” that let you know this is Maz’s album because this album comes from where Maz comes from. It’s East Coast hardcore shit – hard drums for hard knocks, and soul melodies for one S.O.U.L. purpose. Jersey City Native Mazzi describes his passion:
“My music is the sound of reason, revolution, growth, struggle, experience, and debauchery all wrapped up into what I think is best described as “Street Corner Soul Music”. S.O.U.L. Purpose is real life, my life, and the life around me. I represent the average man with the above average flow. I make motivational music for the thinker. S.O.U.L. Purpose can be digested on several levels so everybody can relate to it one way or another. I wear my heart on my sleeve and rhyme about what I know. I concentrate on content, concepts, and captivating flow patterns to paint a vivid picture in songs.”

Ransom - 'Street Cinema' (CD)
--------------------------------------------------
Hailing from Jersey City, Ransom was an integral member of the 'A-Team' crew that also included Joe Budden and recently slain member Stack Bundles. Recently, Ransom has experienced heightened attention owing to his highly publicized falling out with Budden. Having recorded and/or collaborated with such A-list acts as Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross, Juelz Santana, Styles P., Sheek Louch, Fabolous, Flo-Rida and more, Ransom's street and blog-based buzz has reached a fevered pitch. Citing influences from such icons as Nas, Kool G. Rap, Big Punisher, Big Daddy Kane, The Lox & more, Ransom can confidently assert himself as the voice of the streets. As he states: 'I vow by the time it's all said and done that I will be looked at as one of the most influential artists of all time.' The follow-up to 2007's street mixtape smash 'Pain & Glory,' 'Street Cinema' is the widely anticipated precursor to Ransom's forthcoming major label debut.

Customer Comments
"Really appreciate your help - this is third time I've ordered from yourselves, having used a certain other site for 7 or 8 years. The service I have received so far has been brilliant and the selection of CDs is great - I wish I had made the switch years ago."
- Brian Lehane (United Kingdom - 9/6/2007)

"UGHH.com is the dopest website to get hip hop from ever. I have used other sites prior to finding UGHH.com and the service was never as good as you guys! Whenever I make orders I am never disappointed by the delivery time or the service I have received. Customer service has always been extremely helpful no matter what the request! Big ups and keep it moving."
- Rashaad Monteiro (Again!) (South Africa - 8/29/2007)

"Just wanted y'all to know I came all the way from Texas to Beantown, and my first stop was UGHH (Retail Store). I couldn't have imagined it being any better. Vintage KRS-One was blasting in the background, the staff was ultra-cool and super helpful. I picked up some dope CD's and an ass-kicking Warriors-themed t-shirt - old school, y'all. Just wanted to say thanks for a great experience. You have a customer for life!"
- Guido Carcerano (Texas, USA - 8/1/2007)
