Comment: As far as the movies, I agree with BROWNBALL. In comparison, let's say City of God is like American Gangster (more down-to-earth, relatable) and Shottas is more like Scarface (more fantasy, chasing the dream). Choose what you like from gangster movies, but all these flicks are still on my list of favorites... As far as 50 Cent goes, he is ALL gimmick. At least 85%. That gimmick has only grown since the days of "How To Rob". People are only going to buy into image so long before they see through your style transparently. 4 studio albums into the game and no substance. The Godfather James Brown (may he rest in peace) said it best when he said "you talkin' loud and you ain't sayin' nothin'!!!"

Comment: I strongly disagree...50 Cent is no gimmick....the dude actaully has skills but unfortuantely he at times does not always release the best stuff on his album. The mixtapes always seem to be a bit better. I will check for Shottas for sure..I heard of it years ago but never got the chance to peep it out.

Comment: LARS... got to see Shottas. City of God was an awesome flick though. We all know a Benny and we all know a Little Ze. Shottas though is what makes some of these rappers feel impenetrible. They kind of buy into their own hype while getting into character (... for this roll I prepared by...). Some of this is legit... most of it is to counter your five stars. In all truth, I will give all hot music a chance... but if you suck, you just do. 50... he does. I wish I could vote him negative stars but I can't. He sucks. It was over before it started. Em didn't happen on a goldmine, he found a new gimmick. Yo check out the lates from washed up rapper Gimme Cent. If you missed it, we'll play it again every quarter hour on the quarter hour 'til you puke up your own liver. You heard it here first on HOT (insert wack ass radio DJ spot here) point (whatever tenth) FM.

Comment: Damn. I got to see "City of God" on bootleg. That joint was pretty good, it's up there with the movie "Shottas". Good look on that LARS. I'm mad I didn't get to hear about it before, I guess it didn't get that much promotion in the US. P.S. The rapper 50 Cent is mad lame...

Comment: LARS, I didn't understand not ONE word of what you just said LOL. I'm siding with BROWNBALL on this shit. The rapper 50 Cent has never said ANYTHING that's clever. I would give him half a chance if he actually had some good lyricism that could overshadow his false gangsta persona and his snitch reputation. But unfortunately, he doesn't...

Comment: Un-PHUKKING-believable that you clowns are all buying and buying INTO this facade. THIS is HipHop????? He is a character in a video game. All that's missing is for one of you pu$$ies to tell me that he got shot (however many times) and THAT is what makes him dope. You know what makes him dope???? NOTHING!... Absolutely NOTHING makes this (wasn't Wankster HIS word?) clown certifiable. He was never hot... ever. Unbelievable. Someone please UNpost this album. Please tell me how I'm a jealous hater as well... THAT $hit there is for school age children and new lunch boxes. I am a grown ass man with my own things and do not covet his material possessions. I would love his music if it was clever, but it isn't and alas I do not. I wish I could sweat his skill, but he doesn't need that if he still has you fags to hold his balls for him... oh THAT and he has no skills. Important detail. *exits to the sound of feedback and gasps from the crowd of non-believers*

Comment: I am shaking my ass like the "groovies" in "City of God" ......"Benny was to cool to be a gangster. With his party he managed to bring everyone together. Gangs.. soul fans.. religious people.. Some day I'll go to the church. Samba fans.. Groovies.. And Ze who danced for the first time in his life. Wanna dance? -I can't hear you. -Are you dancing? Thanks,I got company. I want to talk to you. You are no going away with that chick. I'll live in a farm, I'll smoke pot,an listen to rock. Are you going to ruin everything for a bitch? She's my girl. Comment: After a comment like that LARS, you gotta say "no homo". Then repeat it after listening to this album. And I know I said this earlier, but it needs to be made aware... The track "So Disrespectful" is a stolen beat from Killer Mike's 2008 song "Pressure" feat. Ice Cube. I'm guessing the rapper 50 Cent can barely afford new unused beats after spending so much on ghost writers.

Comment: Besides the fact that the rapper 50 Cent reps Southside Jamaica Queens from his comfy residence in Farmington, Connecticut, this album serves as a death of gangsta rap. Real gangsta rap has a lil more to offer than "I like the way my gun go bang, my gun go bang, you don't wanna fuck wit me mane..." The rapper 50 Cent's style is so stank and washed up, it reminds me of a turd floatin in the NYC sewers. This album is so horrible, I wouldn't even recommend it to the rapper 50 Cent himself...

Comment: my actual review of this album is probably a 3.5 or a 4. I was surprised that 50 came this hard. his best shyt in a while, n yes I do listen to his mixtapes but for a major commercial release to b this hardcore get mad props. besides common 50 is 1 of my favorite commercially successful rappers. Yeah damn 50 came out pretty tight. n cityhigh u right, 50 is at a level where he has to deliver certain kind of music to stay on top, knowing that and noting the fact that he still came out lyrically hard and gutter on this album makes me like him a lot more. he meets demand but still keeps it real. n no hes no lyrical like nas or blackstar u know there are different rap styles, he more hardcore, like the lox, mop, big, mob deep. this album it tight!! haters I swear, I understand giving the massacre 2 stars but this album is hot! u guys r just hater cause u cant b 50!

Comment: I just can't understand how dudes can diss 50, but show love to Kanye Jay. "Crime Wave" is better than anything on bp3. Unfortunately, it's the only good song on the album. If you were a fan of 50 back in the day(mixtapes), thank Jimmy Iovine for all the bullshit albums

Comment: "So Disrespectful" is a stolen beat from Killer Mike's 2008 album. The song is called "Pressure" feat. Ice Cube, and Killer Mike made FULL USE of that beat, ripping on a lot of these minstrel-type rappers out today. Y'all should check it out, it has some cool Malcolm X snippets on it too. The rapper 50 Cent's album shouldn't be called "Before I Self Destruct". It should be called "Too Late, Niggas... It Already Happened Back When The Massacre Dropped". I think that's a more appropriate title, no?

Comment: Alright. I usually try to give an UNBIASED opinion about an artist's album up here, but... it's so hard to do it with the huge FRONT of an image that 50 Cent is... So first, here goes my BIASED rant. I'ma say THREE facts and leave it at that... ONE. Curtis Jackson, now known as 50 Cent, the rapper, is oxymoronically named after the real gangster Kelvin "50 Cent" Martin, a stick-up kid from Brooklyn. The real 50 Cent was only about 5’2”, 120 pounds, and he used to jack people for whatever little bit of change they had. TWO. The rapper 50 Cent continues to make “gangsta rap” music reppin' Southside Jamaica Queens from his comfy abode in Farmington, Connecticut. Personally, I've never been to either place, but I can pretty much guess that the latter is not quite as "gully" as the former. Throw in about 15 large bodyguards and a flashy bulletproof vest as icing on the cake. THREE. The rapper 50 Cent continues to make "beef" music against Ja Rule, The Game, and (the rapper) Rick Ross. He WAS somewhat successful in ending Ja's career, only in part due to the arrests, trials, and dismantling of Irv Gotti and members of the label Murder Inc. (...and I still wonder where the police got their information.) He attempts to bring down Game, but nobody's really listening to his "Game's not a Blood" claims. Then, he proclaims the rapper Rick Ross to be a cop because he used to be a corrections officer before he started his rap career. I'm assuming the rapper 50 Cent still hasn't learned the difference between a PRISON GUARD and the POLICE, but that's besides the point. It's pure IRONY to point at Ross for not being the real Ricky Ross and his ass ain't the real 50 Cent! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE?! Alright, I’m done. LOL Now for my UNBIASED opinion. The track “So Disrespectful” was produced by The Bizness, who gave that EXACT SAME BEAT to my boy Killer Mike for the track “Pressure” feat. Ice Cube, which was on his 2008 album, I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind II (…this was a HOT ass album, by the way.) I thought the rapper 50 Cent would be rich enough to purchase new UNUSED beats, but I guess I thought wrong. I like the track “Do You Think About Me”, mostly because of the Rockwilder beat. I could see myself boppin in the strip clubs to some of other tracks. But honestly… with about $60 in my pocket, lookin for a couple of lapdances, I’d probably wouldn’t be paying much attention to the music. Overall, I’m not impressed lyrically and I have a hard time finding any kind of substance that is relatable. More than likely though, the mainstream will just eat it up. Whatever…

Comment: I am disappointed... poor unfortunate misinformed Juju thinks 50 is the realest rapper out here... The dude is style-less. He is certainly among the RapTrash Royalty… may be their leader… and needs to be put out with the rest of the garbage so they can pick him up and recycle his ass like they do SO many. Too bad the industry wants him so he can help pollute the young and underprivileged. Doesn't anybody see what this shit is???? Yeah uhhh 40... it's 50... whatever... we need you to be the rootinest tootinest shootinest mofo that ever walked the earth... be tough grrrrrr... yeah I could do dat... GOOD you're signed. The whole sellout thing has gone to new ranges. Kids are dying... conscious or not I know who I am and where I came from... same streets except I dare ANY body to knuckle up with me? Too many bitches shootin' people for rep... or whatever. These cats tell you what they are TOLD to tell you. They are NOT their own men. How many cats started on the street and do NOT glorify dying trying to get rich???? This shit is pollution and the radio plays it... you listen and request it and then 50 makes you his bitch by giving you and a special guest freet tickets and backstage pass. Comment: This album cannot possibly be compared to GRODT. His hooks always blow cock and he raps about the sammmme shit, "I'll shoot you and you'll go/I smoke that crazy indo//" he doesn't even smoke weed. It's not a terrible album, but it's not no album I'd keep in my dash.

Comment: 50 is good. He is good 4 radio. I rather hear him on the radio than a D4L, Shawty Lo Gucci mane and other wack rappers!! But I don't listen to tha radio. We gotta support real hiphop like Fashawn, Skyzoo, Alchemist, Kimbo Price, M.O.P., Wale, Uncle murda, Papoose, Slug, Lupe Fiasco and Etc. If we don't start supporting the real its gonna die and were gonna be stuck with the wack. So I support 50 cuz he aint wack. He's good 4 hiphop like Jay-Z is. Sure they make songs 4 tha bitches but also they make some dope sh!t too. Yall don't sleep on that Kimbo Price prelude to Mic Tyson. That goes hella hard!! Oh yea big ups 2 Duck Down they coming with it!!

Comment: Cheers Burgoon... Here's to real HipHop. 50 is a DUCK! Juju does sound like a washed up wannabe producer!!! I got rappers all over WHAT???? To clown us online... what are you doing here? What were you hoping to see? Well either way... what you found was your failed dreams. This is where HipHop lives and her fans connect. Were you expecting maybe an inquiry? I gave at the office. Truthfully I never really liked 50. He has minimal skill but not enough to carry that persona. Em is a duck too. Seriously.... he just sucks. He has some skills lyrically but as soon as he stops mother goosing every track... it is all cartoon with these clowns. I couldn't stand either of them from the time they all decided to help HipHop jump the shark like the Fonz. Glasses up to those who know. Here's to ya'll

Comment: This album is actually decent. The beats are the highlight of this album, and 50's lyrics are elementary as usual. However, on some songs, he actually spits about some struggle and strife. For example, on the song Do You Think About Me, which was actually produced by The Rockwilder I think, 50 spits about his baby momma trying to gaffle him for all that he has instead of being true.

Comment: 50c, lil wayne, and the rest of these bubble gum rappers make me laugh. The world is fooled by heavy rotation. Didn't anyone in charge of the music in america ever listen to real hip hop? Craig G, Large Pro, Diamond D. That is real Hip HOP. If you want a hard mc try Kool G Rap, Fred foxxx, etc. Please come forward if you have the power to change things! It isn't that these fools are good, if mtv played opera you would see a lot of people buying that as well. Keep it real!
