Summary

In this day and age of decreasing record sales and increasing confusion in the music industry, Hip Hop cornerstone producer Alchemist is not drowning in the sea of BS. As a matter of fact, he stays prolific as a reliable source for bangin' tracks, straight up raw and uncut. Unfortunately, because of politics and commercial pressure put on artist and A&R's from corporate conglomerate music companies, the wrong decisions are made for the wrong reasons and the fans don't always get to hear the best material recorded by their favorite artist. Sometimes the best tracks get dropped off albums or become B-Sides and in some cases never see the light of day. ALC Records solution to this problem is simple The Cutting Room Floor 2. The second release in this series, TCRF2 spotlights dope tracks produced by Alchemist that otherwise may not have seen the light of day. And what a great idea! Who could resist hearing Alchemist at his best with some of your favorite rappers doing what they do naturally... murder a dope beat? This is straight up no filler, real Hip Hop for the true heads!

Comment: bobby creekwater, lil dap, Cashis, Tony Yayo, Twista? NAH!!! alc is known for his beats from the old times and thats what everyone is expecting from him. not sign at all those mainstream rapper s and do crappy beats just for the cash

Comment: marginal. it is a mixtape, but its got the alc brand on it. knowing that, I (& anyone else who knows what up) expected some consistent beats and rhymes. that didn't happen. this album fell way short of my expectations. tony yayo? c'mon now.

Comment: i would give 2-3 stars... We all know alchemist for the beats of his "old times" (thug music, book of rhymes, mobb n*ggaz, the illest...) but this album is something totally different than I expected...the beats arent as tight as they used to be. since alchemist is signed at shady records, I always have the impression that hes commercialising his music.(Cashis, tony yayo, Bobby Creekwater) what I expected, would be at least as tight beats as the platform, hustle hard and this kinda stuff. dont mistake for a hater im really an alchemist fan, but this album...nah, nuthin for me.
