The Unholy Terror is a return to form for true Jedi Mind Tricks and Army Of The Pharaohs fanatics. AOTP, the ever-evolving crew of Hip Hop's heaviest hitters, is the culmination of a vision devised by Jedi Mind Tricks' frontman Vinnie Paz. Initiated over twelve years ago, the group (following in the long-standing tradition of crews like Wu Tang and The Juice Crew) has thrived for over a decade. Past members and contributors have included Bahamadia, Chief Kamachi, 7L, Virtuoso, Shuko, and Undefined, to name a few. With two full-length albums and a slew of singles under their collective belt, AOTP has established itself as the premier collective of diverse MCs showcasing viciously precise and dynamic skills. Lead by the inimitable Paz, AOTP is a reflection of the volatile MC's staunch belief in the tradition of Hip hop's most sacred tenets and aesthetics. Individually the styles of the Pharaohs compliment each other, ranging from strictly lyrical to bloodthirsty battle rhymes, all fused within a construct based on energy and sonic power.

"The Unholy Terror," delivers the same disemboweling brand of hard-core boom-bap and battle rhyming that this veteran crew is known for. Constant touring through Europe and the United States has primed the outfit for their third full-length release. As tradition dictates, the new face of the unit is comprised of a potent arsenal of formidable MCs and producers. It is a unique mixture of Philadelphia's best home-grown talent and outside affiliations, with verses from the likes of like Vinnie Paz, Outerspace, Reef the Lost Cauze, Des Devious, Demoz, Doap Nixon, Jus Allah, King Magnetic and King Syze teaming up with Apathy, Celph Titled, Esoteric, Block McCloud and Journalist. The Pharaohs' sound is guided by the deft hands of well-known and heavily respected beat-makers like Philly's own DJ Kwestion, while Apathy and Celph also show their production chops on this album. Contributions also come from producers Vanderslice, Crown, Undefined, DC the Midi Alien, Grand Finale, Hypnotist, JBL the Titan and MTK.

With their continuing success, the last few years have seen new and debut solo efforts from various group members, but now, they throw their lots in together again, to give the fans what they have been craving. The Unholy Terror continues on in the same vein as AOTP's earlier efforts: epic, grimy beats and raw rhymes. Having spent their entire existence as a self-contained unit, AOTP exhibits a tightness and a complexity that only comes with years of crafted experience. Once again the Army proves itself to be more than the sum of its parts. Seasoned by the road and their respective careers outside AOTP, the members return with focused intensity to what has become more than just a collection of rappers: it is now a tradition.

Comment: I listened to this after a couple years today. It is the epitome of a mediocre album. Sometimes people on here are way too forgiving with their ratings. I am doing this thing a solid by giving it a 3. I love all of these guys' individual work, but these AOTP albums are huge letdows. Eso is only on 2 tracks? Plus who the hell are half of the producers on this album. Take away the Celph Titled and DC produced tracks and I think I would rate it a 1. Just speaking the truth.

Comment: This narcotik guy has a major hardon for celph. It's unbelievable...Peep his comments in other albums that celph is on...he can't keep the guy's name out his mouth. Never seen someone post so much about a rapper they don't like. Dude even posts in celph solo's disturbing. I hate ICP but I ain't even clicking on their album links much less dropping a comment to argue with ICP fans. You ain't changin' nobody's opinion, you just make celph look more important than he really is by showing so much concern...Weirdo stalker shit...

Comment: album was kinda like the last jedi album. jus allah was the standout highlight for real. he spits deep potent hot fire now give him space to let him clear his head out and blow fumes on the mic. fluck you if you ain't down with the new style, I guess you just ain't got enough pure hip hop blood in ya. but back to the album it was good godzilla is the standout hardcore thumpin anthem on this piece. but it was average overall pretty boring. it was like that last snowgoons one the epitome of hardcore averageness from hungry emcees. it should and still can be fresh and creative and entertaining, I still love most hip hop when it drops no matter how many tracks I see w the same name. if you have a true love as a fan than you connect with the artist when you know they put their all out. its a love of music that is pure and keeps a never ending hunger and drive to hear more shit. but this record was just like that last jmt record stale, forced sounding, passionless, directionless. they were making music only in the realm of what they were comfortable and successful in doing, they lost their light and where just making music for the sake of doing it. this was a stale disappointment in the raw punch it packed on the outside it lacked in substance on the inside. hopefully w paz's new label and no more babygrande the music will start flowing out of this camp again instead of being forced out in little diarrhea bursts. *NOTE* STOUPE DID PRODUCE BEATS FOR AOTP WAAAY BACK IN THE DAY WHEN THESE CATS WHERE YOUNG RAW AND HUNGRY. WHEN AOTP WAS FIVE MEMBERS, ESO, PAZ, VIRTUOSO, BAHAMADIA, CHIEF KAMACHI. TRACKS LIKE 'THE HUNTED' AND 'FIVE PERFECT EXERTIONS'. WAYY BACK IN LIKE THE 90'S VINYL 12" FOR THE REAL HEADS. BUT YOU CAN FIND THESE TRACKS ON MIXTAPES LIKE RARE SHIT COLLABOS AND FREESTYLES AND TOO MUCH POSSEE POSSEE POSSEE

Comment: Solid release from AOTP, even better than their previous release but not quite as good as the first. Still a bangin album with plenty of hard rhymes and disses at wack rappers. Beats are pretty good, some better than others and most members deliver solid lyrics. A solid hardcore rap album.

Comment: Honestly I was a little dissapointed of this album, First because I can't stand alot of these new members..especially Demoz and Doap Nixon ruins it for me. And I only really liked half the beats, many of them sounds like they've been heard a thousand times before, you feel me? But besides of that, Vinnie Paz and Celph Titled bodied this whole album! sick lyrics all the way through. My favorites gotta be "Bust Em In" , "Agony Fires" , "Spaz Out" & "Dead Shall Rise" But ffs, that hook on "Burn You Alive" is fucking TERRIBLE, what were they thinking? AUTOTUNE???? Its a pity for my ears everytime I hear it, but the thing is that the rest of the track is flames...but that chorus SUCKS. Tracks like "Drenched In Blood", & "44 Magnum" stinks like a pile of elefant shit! "Cookin Keys" has great drums yeah, but the sampling/chopping sounds extremely boring and random. So fuck that beat. That comes down to 3 stars, 1 for Vinnie Paz, 1 for Celph Titled and 1 for the 8-9 dope beats on it.

Comment: I haven't got real deep into this album yet but I will say this...I am a fan of Stoupe's beats as well but there are some bangers on here regardless of him being absent.I see a lot of crumbs talking shit about Aotp and JMT when the simple fact is..most of the artist with Aotp are the elite, real HipHop heads and would smash your favorite cat in the hat flavor of the month ass rappers in 4 bars or less.One.

Comment: Whoever said it ain't hot cos Stoupe ain't on the beats is a twat. Didn't think he done any of AOTP's beats. The last JMT album was weak but this is crazy. Ultimatum and Suplex, Spaz Out as well, are speaker bleeders.

Comment: I agree with c the god, their tracks aren't distinguishable anymore. And without Stoupe in AOTP anymore, the beats aren't as good as the Torture Papers or Ritual of Battle's. Stoupe's beats held the rhymes together really well.

Comment: Celph Titled more or less stole the show with his clever puns and battle raps. On top of that, his track "Bust 'em In" is the top song on the album. There's so much energy on that track between the back and forth chorus and the verses of Reef, Ap and Celph.

Comment: One spin and the verdict is in. Straight fire! 16/16. NO WEAK SH.T ON THIS ONE. Ap, Eso and Reef rip it up but should have appeared more. Peace to CT and New England. Vinnie never lets me down with the sinister stuff. Demoz steps out of the barber shop and into the booth and spits that fire. Dez De is straight mean as always. Where the hell is Kamachi? I love Celph but wish he would rap more serious like the other AOTP albums. Jus had about one rap. What's up with that? Love to see Sean Price and or Immortal Technique on the next album.

I listen cuz hes raw. jus allah verse was heat, pea brains dont get it. they find him random, I find them stupid. really aint nothing bad you can say about this record unless you wanna come across as a nitpickin critic that doesnt rap. if you do rap, and youre not feeling it, maybe your better, but more likely, youre just a hater. banging album. hot beats hot rhymes.

Comment: This is another solid AOTP Jedi family release. These guys are the only reason I still look forward to Rap releases. The production is sick, the only bad beat is Drenched in Blood. Its good to hear Ap on this. Everyone kills it. This is that shit that you can max out on the bench with! IMO AOTP is the modern Wu-Tang. I know, I know they arent as ground breaking and dont have the personality of Wu but for me they are the tightest group out right now. My man Louie Dogz got some sense and oly let Jus spit one verse. What happend to him? He needs to let go of Pazs' sac and get his Violent by Design style back. One

Comment: Good Album...the worst lp of AOTP in my opinion, even thought, a great effort. The production ain't on the level of the Torture Papers and Ritual of Battle, and the lyrics still on point, always the same many vinny paz and to less for likes of Reef the Lost Cauze, Doap Nixon, King Magnetic...and why Cryp the Warchild appears only on 3 songs? Just a example, on Suplex, vinni's part is trully dissapointing, not beacause of the verse but because of is voice and is flow.Vinnie ain't no good for a slow beat...But that just my opinion.WORD

Comment: After a week with the album and numerous listens to all the AOTP albums I can say this is their weakest effort yet but its still dope. The loss of Chief Kamachi is felt, he is one of the sickest song openers on the other albums. The addition of King Magnetic and Journalist was a nice move both are hot. Vinnie is better here than he is on Ritual but still not old school vinnie but he brings some heat. The albums strong points hit with "Bust Em In" a Celph Titled produced track thats straight fire. Cooking Keyes has ill production by Dj Kwestion followed by AOTPs most commercial sounding song yet "Burn You Alive". But you know what I really like it and I think its one of the top songs on the album with the other two I mentioned. The albums last track "The Ultimatum" is also a worthy mention.Though this album lacks some punch the other two had its still a great entry and so good it needs to be next to the other two in the collection. Cop it!

Comment: Your Mother's Maiden Name, sorry dude not everyone wants to hear political shit. There's still legions of fans that just want to hear fun, hardcore music. Sometimes you just want to vibe out, blast some shit while you're driving. Not everything has to be so "deep" and "political".. There's plenty other rappers that do that style if I wanted to feel all serious when I listened to music. When I listen to AOTP I just want to blast the music loud and be entertained by the mindless imagery and clever raps. Give it a try and stop being so stern about music.

Comment: Respect for them calling out fag popular rappers...they need to be threatening Jay z's fagot freemason ass though....dudes need to be more straight political these days in this threatening the american and Israeli governments...wit no metaphors either... every line should entice political violence in the streets...we've heard all the street savvy punch lines and grime shit like back in the 90s all ready...khallas! enuff is enuff got it right also wit the cover artwork..Spit to provoke critical thought not to sound street tough.

Comment: this is way hotter than ritual of battle. more celph, more vinnie, more outerspace. aotp was orignally jmt outerspace and a revolving door of emcees, this one feels like that. demoz is nice, faggots hate cuz hes not spitting scientific nerd rap, hes a jail bird. he spits hard and he comes with strong hooks. des dev is ill, apathy pops off, celph kills it, vinnie kills, and planetarys over it. another emcee not getting the prop respect is doap nixon, another skilled street rapper, science battle shit isnt his lane, he spits real. I actually wish jus was on more tracks. hes someone said this album is street heavy compared to torture papers, if you like hard beats and hard lyrics buy it. they need more reef and jus next time tho. celph and vinnie on showcase on this one.

Comment: This is another great release from super group AOTP. The loss of Chief Kamachi is replaced by King Magnetic and Journalist which both do well. Jus Allah is only on one song which most won't mind due to his new style. Vinnie Paz truly is the weakest on the album and hes on almost all songs. The album isn't on the level of Torture Papers or Ritual Of Battle but its close enough. More listens may change my opinion but its a solid release but not there best.

Comment: Just listened to the leak and it got the head noddin in no time.. Epic beats as expected with content that both lyrical heads and street cats can appreciate but leaning a bit more towards the street side.. It's not for the feint of heart to say the least. Umm..only negative thing I can think of other than no Kamachi is there wasn't very much scratching or sampling on this one.. But it's a must cop nonetheless.

Comment: From what I've heard of the album sampler only like half the beats are dope, some of them are messy, not good enough or just sound like something who has been made before..thats annoying!! plus they have WAAAY too many emcees in the group now...We dont need fucking Demoz, Doap Nixon, Journalist, King Magnetic & Block McCloud!!! They are all generic and not original like the other members, so fuck em' The best line-up was the one they had on "Torture Papers"! Crypt, Celph, Paz, Apathy, Kamachi, 7L&ES, Planetary & Reef

The Melatonin Magik album was supposed to be carried at Best Buy. So I went to my local BB (one of the most music oriented in the country located in S. Austin) and low and behold no Canibus. Made me want to burn that shit. I was FORCED to get it off Itunes....Bullshit

Comment: Yeah the fact that it was delayed is kind of whack, but at least they're showing progress and letting you pre-order the album unlike Necro. Necro is supposed to release his album this month and still hasn't put anything up for pre-order. Artist's need to realize that when they put a release date for records that we get all hyped up on this shit and count the days left before the album comes out, and when they delay it, it seriously kills our fucking will to even want to buy it!

This album has gotta be finished alread .. SO WHY THE HOLDIN BACK. .WTF is going on ... WHY ISNT ANYONE IN AOTP SPEAKING ABOUT THIS . THEY GOT LOYAL FANS , THEY SHOULDNT BE STAYIN QUIET AND PULLIN A FUCKIN DELAY and shit if they delay this till 2010 it could Delay the release of CELPH TITLEDS SOLO. YOU KNOW CELPH AINT GONNA RELEASE HIS ALBUM AROUND THE SAME TIME AS AOTP ALBUM , it wouldnt make sense from a bizzznessss stand point.

Comment: I can't believe someone has to explain this, but here: Obviously UGHH puts all items as 'sold out' when they don't have them. That includes when it doesn't exist/hasn't been released. Now you can all move past the 'sold out' questions.

Comment: That is very true. Probably they did tricks to get out of distribution deal with Sony Red, since they are having money issues. IHiphop is now going thru E1(Koch) ihiphop is also to fool the fans that have heard from artists of Babygrande bad reputation. Different Name. Different Image. Different Location (Los Angeles. Same Owner.
