Comment: How is he going to try and move hip-hop foward if he speaks on materialism? I understand some people are in this for a check and I am not in any way knocking anybodies hustle but if you have to water down this culture by conforming to the current sound then you can't be considered an M.C. your just another rapper. It's not my kind of Rap/Hip-Hop. He may have been raised up on afew good rap artists but he is not moving the Hip-Hop culture foward. Alright production, some good lyrics but not impressed.

Comment: Sure, Rocky isn't the best rapper. He doesn't have crazy metaphors and similes in his verses, but as an artist he does well. The way he combines with the production works great, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic hip hop sound, but it's nice to hear something different and refreshing once in a while.

Comment: Solid album from a unique artist. I can listen to this all the way through which is more than can be said of most underground shit I've heard in years. Def gots a few bangers but imo nothing as hard as "bass" of that live.love.asap mixtape that shit was raw. Fuck labels and all that that's gay right? I enjoy this album so that's all that counts to me. Limiting yourself to "real underground shit" only can actually make you look like a corny white boy, just saying. Good music is what it is, we don't have to change the world with every song. And fuck Gaysop Rock no ones checking for him so lets cut the bs huh? Enough about him.

Comment: Yeah um... still no stars. I believe, and in my age (i.e. WISDOM) my math may be a little shaky but I believe I counted FOURTEEN producers on 12 cuts... Four-phukkin'-TEEN!!! Producers mind you... THEN... and lastly... and I promise you this at the risk and rate of losing my balls over swearing on a stack of Source magazines... NONE... not a one of MY favorite rappers are listening to THIS bull$hit. Seriously, I called and asked them because I HAD to know. They all said... WHO? And then they all shot me simultaneously through the temple with crossbows for being so stupid. I apologized. I'm listening and it sucks. Just my opinion and honestly no hate. If he loved HipHop as much as I do then... By old school do you mean young and LISTENING to old school or did you grow up on old school?? Too long.

Comment: A$AP Rocky is going to get a lot of hate from heads on this website, but honestly this is a very good album. I really appreciate artists in the mainstream who try to do something different with their music that makes it stand out from the rest. A$AP isnt as lyrically tallented as a Kendrick Lamar, but he's really pushed the boundaries with this "purple schwag" personna and hard hitting beats. I think of this as Three-6 Mafia meets Dipset. Its fresh and unique for the mainstream in a time when so many people sound exactly the same (take the entire MMG movement). I know most heads wont agree with me here, but those that are open give this a listen, its a nice album to be able to rock in your collection. Long Live A$AP!

Comment: Real recognize real eh? So Drake's a real emcee now? And the only track with artists that stand out is "1Train" and we don't bump that shit in my hood unless you've signed on to the dumbing down and commercializing of Hip Hop. Seriously, WTF is wrong with my generation? If we were to stand up as one and fight against all the evil in the world we wouldn't be bangin this shit on the front lines. Fuckin muppets, all of ya.

Comment: First of all A$AP is an acronym and thats his rap group A$AP Mob, and Rocky is his nickname because his real name is Rakim. The album is tight! How can you hate on A$AP Rocky plus there lyrics are on point and most beats are. Many tight features on here. you guys are just hating on new generation of rappers. "real recognize real" thats why he has real Mcs workin with him.

Comment: The album was excellent. I really enjoy his brand of street hop. Its real gutter, simple, drugged out, ambient, lofi-ish, and fun to get into to. Definitely recommended if you like old school 80's hip hop, dope posse cuts, and tripped out houston type vibes.
