Name: OilKanLarry (Posted: 6/24/2004 12:46:00 PM) Summary: Alc And The Epic Beats.... Comment: I am a beat dude so of course I like this alot even though some of the lyrics were less then superior but ALC did this right. Ev was nice on this actually the only one who was laggin was Prodigy....his style he been using for a bit is a little stagnant. Other than that a keeper.
Name: cnnoreaga (Posted: 12/26/2003 11:42:00 AM) Summary: Alchemist The Piecemaker Comment: The beat is hypnotizing, and very good. The 4 rappers on this are good too. It's good, dope track, trust me!
Name: Killerbiscuits (Posted: 11/29/2003 3:01:00 PM) Summary: I Don't Like It... Comment: I just think that Alchemist can do better. What ever happened to the beats like Alc dropped on "Thug Muzik" and "The Illest" by Mobb Deep, and "We Strive" and "IM3" by Infamous Mobb? I mean, I can see how hardcore Alchemist fans may like this beat, but I'll stick with Havoc's haunting piano riffs, thank you. Lyrics are barely ok, saved by (Twin) Gambino, who has a great rapping voice. As someone said in an earlier review, Prodigy's hook is horrible. He's just been getting worse ever since Mobb Deep's Infamy. Check out some Infamous Mobb or later Mobb Deep if you want to hear some nice Alchemist beats.
Name: blibstar (Posted: 9/15/2003 5:05:00 AM) Summary: Alchemist Is Back Comment: Lyrically Iíve been generous, not so strong but the beat gives it depth.
Name: kemikal (Posted: 8/19/2003 2:15:00 AM) Summary: Hot Ass Track Comment: Sounds a little synthy but who gives a f*ck? Hot ass track even though prodigy sounds a little stagnant.
Name: pathethik (Posted: 8/13/2003 10:04:00 AM) Summary: Twin Gambino Just Saves The Song... Comment: Production would have been good for Infamous Mobb cuz it kinda has that grimy feel to it. Evidence sounds out of place and Prodigy sounds like he is dying on the mic as usual.
Name: manatarms (Posted: 7/24/2003 1:21:00 PM) Summary: Well Just So So Comment: Beat is creative but sounds R&B or keyboard even though it is not. I donít know but I would never play this track as it is too down the middle. Am I the only dude who doesnít really feel Alchemist?
Name: lexicon718 (Posted: 7/18/2003 7:24:00 PM) Summary: Dilated Mobbsters Comment: I'm a huge Mobb and Alchemist fan so I may be a little biased, but this is a tight track. Not the best I've heard from any of these artists, but definitely a good start-off single for 1st Infantry. The track moves well in terms of production- breaks and rhyme flow. Anyone that's feeliní Mobb or Dilated should enjoy this one.
Name: Paul (Posted: 7/16/2003 2:33:00 PM) Comment: It's been awhile since I've heard the Alchemist lace a beat. Well, he's back and still has that golden touch. The beat to "Fourth Of July" has the typical string-laced urgency of his usual work, but it still sounds nice and fresh. The rhymes are decent, although nothing you haven't heard from Prodigy (the thug shtick) and Evidence (battle sh*t). Twin and Alchemist offer verses, but theyíre kinda average, and Prodigy's hook is wack ("bitches they wanna rape us"). But the production is a winner making "Fourth Of July" work overall.
Name: DJ Madhandz (Posted: 7/9/2003 11:10:00 AM) Summary: Alchemist!!!!!!!! Comment: Another dope beat by the Alchemist who, personally, is one of hip-hopís best producers. And he grabs the mic as well. It is good to see Evidence on this tune as well, his verse kills it.
Name: walt s.o.b.s. (Posted: 7/9/2003 10:36:00 AM) Summary: This Joint Is I-ight..... Comment: Is it me or does Alchemist seem like he's running out of beats? I mean, donít get me wrong the beat doesn't suck ass but I feel like itís lackluster. The emcees on the track seem to do what they can with it, but overall nothing special. Good track to fill up space on a 90-minute Maxwell tape. Worth a listen, just not that great.
