Comment: dude cage is one of my favorite rappers of all time, I love everything he does, but listening to this song is hysterical, I never really listened to esoteric that much, but this song is fucking hysterical, knowing everything hes talking about in the song, I think this was definetly a good come back in a feud haha

Comment: CAGE IS THE SHIT. ESO sucks. Plain and simple. If you think other wise then you just haven't heard enough CAGE. Please, do yourself a favor and do some research. Listen to the incredible shit CAGE, COPY, the weatherman, YAK BALLZ, Oh and SSS are putting out right now. Never will a douche like ESO even be close to the CAGE.

Comment: It's funny that so many people commented on how Esoteric sucks and he made a bad decision with this track.. one idiot even claimed that this song was ok but was a mistake to dis cage and EC... he said he like public execution though.. maybe he didn't realise that public execution was an EC dis song.. With Eso coming out with 3 albums this year, a you tube series and forming a group with DC the midi alien and Trademarc... it looks like everyones predictions were wrong.. Eso is larger than life and cage and the whole EC crew even Def Jux have fallen off. People are tired of listening to the same shit for the past decade... Eso is inovative.. EC and DJ are wack as fuck and fell off.

Summary: Can't Diss No One!
Comment: 7L & Esoteric suck. Not much more I can say, except that don't screw around with Cage. His lyrics (when he wants) kill any of the Demigodz. (Excluding Apathy)

Summary: It Took Balls...
Comment: I think Cage has mad lyrical skill but it took mad guts for this cat to diss him like he did. Maybe there's beef none of us know about, but the beat was hot and also maybe Cage is getting a taste of his own medicine, I heard Esoteric has ties to Slim Shady... Ha!!!

Summary: More Bull Sh*t From This Pathetic Feud!
Comment: First off Eso sucks, I hate his style, I just hate him. Secondly though I hate Cage alot more, Eso is better (but he still sucks) which is why I think Eso won this little feud. 7L's beat here is great however (even though I don't really like 7L's beats most the time) so I suppose it makes the instrumental worth a purchase, maybe.

Summary: What Was Esoteric Thinking? God!
Comment: This is so pathetic, is there even any ground for this sh*t? Cages response wasn’t that great but at least he spit SOMETHING interesting, this just is not entertaining at all. Boring blah-blah, so-so sh*t.

Summary: Cage D*ck Riders Are Silenced
Comment: F*ck Cage, he needs to get that rubber band around his nuts removed, for real. I have nothing against E.C. but Eso has balls battling an entire crew by himself, and it’s not that he has no backing he just doesn't need it like Cage does. Trust me, come to the Bean and you will find many people willing to throw down for Eso. Bottom line, Cage can make corny ass battle songs but when the time comes to do it live, he puts his tail between his legs and walks away.

Comment: Focusing on this second-rate competition fails to do justice. Who cares? Esoteric? Cage? Whatever...it is like some little proxy war. The Def Jux crew dominates. Does anyone disagree?

Summary: Horrible
Comment: Esoteric is the worst emcee I've heard in years- thanks for the inspiration. If he can put out records then anyone can. Cage, Copy, it doesn't matter, ANYONE can beat this kid in a battle. I wouldn't even call this a beef, Cage shouldn't even respond.

Summary: Esoteric Has The Worst Delivery I Ever Heard In My Life
Comment: Esoteric’s style is very familiar. Seriously, could there be a sh*ttier delivery in hip-hop? Every time I hear Eso open his mouth on a record it ruins the track for me. But I got to give it to him on this track, it is not an amazing diss that shuts anyone down (such as "The Bridge is Over" or "Ether"), but he does throw some strong blows. However, it is pretty strong words that don't seem to have the ability to being backed up. All-and-all, did he crush Cage? No! Did he let Cage know he's more that just some faggot with a basic style and horrible delivery? Yes!

Summary: What's Esoteric Doing?!?!?
Comment: I used to be a huge fan of 7L & Esoteric; "Public Execution" w/ Apathy and "Protocol" being my favorites from them. But this was a career suicide making this track. First off all, Esoteric has no reasoning. Second, they are already unliked by various emcees from there hometown of Boston in the first place, so they have no backup and E.C. is a big crew. Esoteric will NEVER be the emcee that Cage is. I can't wait for Cage's diss (because you know there will be one)... I expect it to be a career ender just like El-P's diss to Sole on "Linda Trip"; where has Sole been since then? exactly. I hope 7L reads this: DROP THAT WACK HERB PUNK ESOTERIC, he just caused a big problem for you're career too and I hate to see it because you have some of the illest production EVER.

MAIN EVENT
==========
Esoteric vs. Cage, Mr. Eon, DJ Mighty Mi, Camu Tao, Tame One, Copywrite, Yak Ballz, Vast Aire (he's HUGE, he would rip him apart), Brewin', El-P, and Jakki Tha Motamouth

Winner? E.C. 3 seconds into the 1st round

And dissing Beetlejuice? Why? Have you ever seen him on the Howard Stern show? He's one vicious dwarf.

Good luck Esoteric... YOU NEED IT!!!

Summary: F*ckin' E.c. D*ckriders
Comment: Granted this beef is mad old now, and Eso did finish it with “Runaway.” This track is still dope as f*ck and if your blind and can’t see that you must have all of the E.C. dicks in your cheek. Copy came hard on “Extinction” and that is the only good input from that camp....period. Seriously, y'all can’t front on this and Copy stop using different user names to bash this. Give it up, sh*t is over.

Summary: What's Eso's Deal ?
Comment: I am a fan of both 7L and Esoteric and E.C. All Stars, so this was a tough call. Something is up when your DJ's name comes before yours in a group. Beats are actually tight though, 7L did it right. Eso seems confused about who he dissin’ on this track. What's up with the Sage Francis and Necro references. “Agent Orange” is better than anything I've heard from 7L &ES hands down. Maybe Eso needs to spend a few days in New York, see what happens then. Cage and Necro should do another response track!

Summary: Tons Of Sh*t Talking, But Real Creative Wordplay
Comment: Yes, I'd say Esoteric definitely gave Cage something to hurt about, but it wasn't the sickest diss I've ever heard. The beat was pretty lame, and again, he was not that creative about any of it. When it comes to Copywrite, NO ONE could EVER compare to the King-of-Metaphors, Copy will conquer all and everyone who steps in his way. I'm an EC head for life, Esoteric shouldn’t be f*ckin’ with them.

Summary: Wack
Comment: Eso rhymes like I did when I was 8. Seriously, if you like this song you are just a fan of Esoteric which I am not so I won’t get into dissin his wackness cuz I'm more mature than that. But the average hip-hopper who listens to this will hate it cause in all honesty, Eso can’t rhyme.

Comment: First off, f*ck Eso-Fresh-Prince, Lyrics aren’t bad but his style is played. How dare he diss Beetlejuice. 7L needs to lose the Prince, he'll be better off.

Summary: Good Nuff 4 My Ass
Comment: Sounds as good as his otha ish. People are dissin’ Eso but I haven’t heard the responses or the first songs, all I know is I’d bump this like I’d bump any other Eso song. Sounds good to me. Beat is plain and lets you focus on flow as usual, which is good cuz Eso can make you head nod.

Name: Ash-en-wan (Posted: 5/14/2003 7:53:00 AM)
Comment: From the outset this joint is all about 7L’s sick production. Granted, Eso chats some cutting verbals that will surely have Cage and his “partner” Copywrite quaking in their Lugz, but people, I beg you, real recognise real and right now there’s nothing realer than a 7L produced joint. Cop this joint purely for the instrumental…Blazing!

Summary: Ut Uh......
Comment: This must be Esoteric's 7th L. The only track that he ever did that was hot was with that Transformers’s beat, then he fell off. He can't even contend with Cage (if you haven't heard-Cage ripped him). Bottom line, this song is horrible. He uses lines from old sh*t that doesn't even sound good. And why sound like your battling in every song. IT'S PLAYED!! Go back to the lab and try again.

Comment: I’m not a big fan of Cage either, but he's 10 times better than this geek. Eso has the worst delivery I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe this clown even sells records, he must have a sh*tload of friends.

Summary: Ummm....i Think Eso Beat Cage On This One
Comment: With no bias, I think Eso out-shined Cage and knocked him out after listening to Cage's diss. If this song was a boxing match, Eso came back with hitting uppercuts after Cage's jabs.

Name: Droid Freash (Posted: 5/9/2003 8:04:00 AM)
Summary: Oh Dear...
Comment: I thought Eso was better than this. He just seems so angry that he's just trying too hard with his lyrics. And what's up with his flow? Most of the time it follows a one-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight pattern like old school rappin- except that it's sh*t!
On the other hand, the production is ok. I like the little beat right at the end of the track, but the main beat's not my thing.

Summary: Best Of The Whole Beef So Far
Comment: First off, there is a lot of bias in the underground rap community. I have listened to both artists and heard a lot of their material, so I'm going to review this with an unbiased attitude. Esoteric KILLED Cage on this track. Both of Cage's disses were garbage, with the exception of one or two good lines. Copywrite is the only threat from EC for Esoteric because Copy is a good battle emcee.

Plain to say, it f*ckin' murders Cage without a doubt!

Summary: 7l & Esoteric - 'do It (cage Diss)'
Comment: It was cool but it wasn't like I expected. Esoteric did rip Cage because the diss song Cage made was wack as hell! Esoteric admitted in this diss that Copyright did come correct in which Copywrite made 2 disses and ripped Esoteric undisputedly and single-handedly. So Esoteric didn't have that much to say about Copywrite.

Comment: Esoteric needed to shut his fuckin' mouth like 2 years ago. Eso sounds like a fan that got dissed by Cage at a show or some shit and now this is his crybaby whine. Fuck Esoteric! Like Cage said, that muthafuckah needs work on his cadenece. Pussy.
