Summary: By No Means A Classic..
Comment: Ever since Sole's diss quote "..pressing all them pretty buttons, making wack beats" I can't shake the picture of this obvious talent at times reduced to making a mockery of "Beat Production." A strangely dated feel to this rhythm, with an overriding use of mechanical samples could well suit within a Japanese Amine short in places! Always a treat to hear new El-P material, if not for the sheer screams of non-conformity in his subject matter. For me, this track ranks as mediocre (could have blended well into his “hit and miss" album FanDam).

Comment: Even though El-P makes me trip without any chemical influence, I still wonder why I get a hangover from listening to his music. "Dead Light" is real sick as El-P drops a beat with psychotic divinity and verses with more illness. Damn, this guy just doesn't want to quit this game, and I hope he doesn't because he keeps getting better with age. If you like El Producto then you'll like this track and if you don't like him then stay away. It's the same kind of ish, but it's dope stuff so the repetitiveness is welcomed.

Summary: Great Song!!
Comment: This is a very pleasing song by El-P. I would have loved to see it on Fantastic Damage, but still glad to see it on a compilation. It's a really nice track, the usual from El-P.

Summary: What Happened To Hip Hop?
Comment: This clown takes the soul out of hip hop and you give it props. Try expanding the music and not doing the same shit over and over. What the f*ck is this Missy Elliot or something. Boo!

Summary: No Way, This Beat Is Nice
Comment: Another fine production/ performance by the one and only, El-P. This beat is fresh out of his style... maybe it could be a little cleaner, if you don't like it oh well… tighten your screws.
