Summary: An Absolute Classic
Comment: I have no doubts that this record will be on the list of classic hip hop records in years to come. Royce is wrong about one thing though - the whole track is killing!

Summary: Well... I'm Surprised
Comment: Honestly, I started doubting that Premo would make another great track. This one's pretty much the standard Primo joint but it's better than most of "The Ownerz" album. Royce comes off on this one. I'm not an anti-"commercial" rap fan, but he got weak as hell when he got up with Trackmasters.

Comment: Primo is the best at all beats. I can't stop talking about this man. Royce lyrics are good too.

Summary: Royce Is Back
Comment: I'm loving this song. This reminds me of the old Royce with the dreds. Too bad things didn't work out with him and Mr. Mathers. Ya'll already know how Premo does it. "Me and Prem names go together like they ain't suppose to be separated like D & D." I couldn't agree more. It's Hip-hop.

Summary: We're Getting Closer With Every Release"
Comment: I feel quite fortunate to serve as a witness to a definitive change in hip-hop. The nay sayers have denounced the fact that change is near, and a cat thats been doin' his thing since the beginning of this, Premier, continues to link up with the future and drop jewels. You enjoy this? Pick up "The Ownerz", it's an instant classic.

2)Beat is...well...Premier did it so of course it's nice
3)it's just a raw track, big up to Royce

Summary: Generic Title, Good Track
Comment: Primo brings it back with a Hard to Earn type gem. Royce hold's his own, can't wait to hear this instrumental.

Summary: My Neck Is Hurting!!!!!!!!
Comment: I mean what can you say? Royce comes a little above average on the track, but when backed by Premo, What? I'm like ChillB now!

Comment: I mean it doesn’t get any better than this… here we have the Detroit MC Royce back with the NY legend producer DJ Premier. And they pick up right where they left off with “Boom” and “My Friend.” Proving to still be able to produce great hip-hop, Premo laces Royce with one of the best beats I’ve heard all year and Royce keeps pace with his typical braggadocio. Nice strings, ill cuts, and consistent rhymes equals the type of hip-hop we need to have more of in the New Year. Finished.

Summary: Hip Hop
Comment: Great Premier beat! Royce and Premo always blend nicely and apparently Royce has switched up his priorities and is gonna bring a genuine underground album. So that’s nice, but it’s that beat that does it.

Summary: Premier+royce= Classic
Comment: Every time these two hook up, it's always sumthin’ brilliant. Royce is always at his best over a Premier beat- he should just start producin’ entire albums for Royce.

Comment: Premier....need I say more? My neck hurts now.

Name: mecbar (Posted: 2/1/2004 10:12:00 AM)
Summary: Best Work Since Boom
Comment: Like many artists Royce sounds best when he works with Premo. By no means is this another “Boom” but it is a good 12".
5 Stars
Name: gringo (Posted: 2/1/2004 5:19:00 AM)
Summary: Incredible
Comment: Preem´s beat here is just classic. Pure head-nodding simplicity, using the least elements possible. This sh*t bangs and Royce flows beautifully (if somewhat unconventionally) over the top.
¨The finest flow will amaze, rap without me is the Source minus the quotable page.¨
