This one's a little bit shorter, but includes more tracks that are again significant (in my opinion) to the path that has become underground hip-hop today. Everything from Big L's dope verse on "Enemy", to Paradigm's grad school infused style, M.F. DOOM's re-emergence, Siah and Yesh, Ugly Duckling's first joint, Planet Asia - it goes on. Have you noticed also that Godfather Don is on each volume so far? If you don't know, you better ask somebody… I also got a few inquiries asking about digital media and Serato, etc. I use Serato for most of my live shows, but each underground classics show is all vinyl. | 2/6/2009 | 2960 |
 | Underground Classics Vol. 2 DJ's: DJ Tommee Description: Installment # 2 of underground classics starts off with 20 seconds of silence… There's a lot of hidden puzzles in this one! For real though, as I was laying this down, it took me back in a lot of ways to the first time hearing a lot of these joints. I couldn't cut many of these short, so I let a lot of stuff play out. I remember hearing Evidence for the first time on “Confidence” and being blown away. Akbar's verses are crazy on “Live Long”, and I won't even go into Godfather Don… Much respect and peace to Camu Tao - 'he was a true talent - 'taken way before his time. Big shout out to DJ LoPro - 'one of the realest DJ's on the planet. He would always kill “Foundation” at every night back in '96 - 'BIG UP! | 9/25/2008 | 2135 |
 | Underground Classics Vol. 1 DJ's: DJ Tommee Description: This is the first installment of Underground Classics... I've dug up some familiar joints, and probably some that you maybe haven't heard before, or at least haven't heard in a while... Most of the show is stuff from '96-'98. True mixtape format - peep the cuts and juggles. | 7/9/2008 | 3371 |
