In 1994, 21-year old Queensbridge rapper Nas changed Hip Hop forever with his classic debut album Illmatic. Though the album prominently featured some of the era's best producers, only one other emcee was invited to appear on a song. That artist was AZ, and with one incredible verse on "Life's A Bitch," he instantly became one of the leading artists of New York's Hip Hop golden age in the mid-90s. His 1995 debut disc Doe or Die would solidify his claim to legendary status, and now, 15 years later, AZ returns to deliver an expanded, reimagined version of that classic album for a new generation of fans to discover. In addition to new versions of "Rather Unique," "Sugar Hill" and "Gimme Yours," AZ contributes five all-new songs with production from East Coast heavyweights such as Pete Rock, Statik Selektah and L.E.S., among others. Not simply a rehashed effort, Doe or Die 15th Anniversary Special Edition revives all the elements that made the original an undisputed masterpiece, while delivering new music from an artist still in his prime.

Comment: This is not a wack album. If it would have been released in 2010 it could have been probably a 4 stars album, at least. But it's just the re-issued version of Doe or Die with new beats which are not necessary wack but are not that fresh also. Regarding Lars, I saw a lotta comments (disses) addressed to him and him fightin' back or dissing others from the start. Anyway if you watch close his ratings, these are matching most of the times the quality of the product he is rating. Peace 2 all of ya from Romania!

Comment: Sweet Sosa... please oh please oh please release something ultra hard and new. Something raw and ready for us real underground fans. I don't care about the hype but I will tell you what... on Affirmative Action he murdered Nas and at that point for me was when Sosa pretty much stamped his name in the era as one of the best to ever do it. There are a few of those for me but he is a very important piece that comprises the full picture of the Golden Age puzzle. Yes... No? Definitely. Reign baby, come and get your crown, MC. I dub thee Dopeness. 4 just for the man.

Comment: Good album...know the original but didnt have it. This is nice to have with a couple good bonuses. Lars im tired of seein ur name on here man. Ur comments and remarks reflect wats wrong with hip hop these days. And if the original was a classic, in your words, why would u give this 3stars?...Cuz he may be flat broke and tryin to make $? In hip-hop we call that analogy hate. Wat if AZ IS flat broke? So what, let that n*gga make his $. Wheres your albums? Wheres ur 15th ANNIVERSARY reissue? Get off the site. You like the attention. Bitches like attention. Thank you AZ for all u've done and continue to do for hip-hop. He's a true pioneer. And if u have his 1995 classic buy this one too!

Comment: im going to give this 2 stars 1 for baby paul and 1 for lil fame not to mention 1 for az but other than that that statik selektah beats are wack, way too bouncy and clubbed out like im at a race track or something....... if he had all the banger ass producers remix this shit would make sense not just send it off to the wack leader to get remixed ...garuntee this will be super wack

Comment: AZ is an MC. not lil wayne or whatever commercial BULLSHIT you happen to like "LARS". real artists are supported by real fans and real people who care about the craft. not brainwashed bitches like LARS who happen to be hypnotized by the images streaming on the t.v. or sounds emitted from the radio waves. so mr. lars, FUCK YOU!!!
