    Product Details

Critically acclaimed mc/producer and Soul Position frontman Blueprint, returns with his highly anticipated sophomore solo release Adventures in Counter-Culture. Experimenting with synths, keyboards, and drum machines, Adventures in Counter-Culture touches on Blueprint's cynicism with the world, his disdain for pop culture, the state of politics and an apathetic, uninspired society. The album encompasses every facet of music Blueprint knows. It blurs genre lines and connects his hip hop pedigree with his early days in the church choir, to the R&B bands he was a part of in high school, to his new found interest in rock and electronic music.

After a five year musical journey, Blueprint has emerged with his greatest effort to date. A culmination of self discovery and societal critique, Adventures in Counter-Culture is just that. The adventure begins April 5th...

Comment: Their is a contagious groove, maybe its the loose blueprint used in arrangement patterns and construction of sounds, but its contagious, lyrically thought provoking and artistic (good mix)

Comment: Here is a great exmaple of Blueprint gone Kanye, not a good thing for UGHH fans. I copped all of Blueprints work and he is an incredible producer and lyricist just check (1988 album and Both Soul Position albums)but this album is a let down with the exception of Go Hard or Go Home. 2 stars just cuz I know his history, but the album alone would've gotten a solid 1 from me, save yout time and money.

Comment: Always loved Blueprint. Lyrics are the truth. Total truth. The fact that some people remember what HipHop really is is so comforting to me. I mean real live comfort like Gram's apple pie on a breezy fall day... shut up. Everybody know that comfort. The comfort of warm sheets fresh out of the dryer. The comfort of your mom's subtle strokes on my bald head... leave the door unlocked for me. Blueprint makes HipHop live. Eternity is sooner than we think... wouldn't you like to have something good to listen to?

Comment: Great album for this day in age of music/hip hop. It also has a good international appeal, it covers many influences. Surprised me with some of the singing tracks tho, BUT THEY WORK! Good lookin Blue, you sound like ur in a good place.

Comment: Blueprint is Hip Hop. 107.5 is not. This is a good CD although I think he should have made 2 albums, one with joints like Go Hard or Go Home and another with the singing joints. I love both but would have enjoyed a double CD like that. I would pay $5 more for that. Kind of softer beats as well. My favorite Blueprint joints are hype, dope hip hop beats and dissing wack rap.

Comment: I'm trying to give it a chance, but so far, I'm having trouble with it. There's a few tracks that are great-RADIOINACTIVE. It's too innovative for me to get in that mode with. Once I get into a track, the next one is soo different, it's like I just want another track like the last one (or at least with the same style, frame of mind consistency). He puts heart in it though. So, I haven't given up yet.

Comment: Sorry Print, but there's more to dislike on this album than there is to like in my opinion. I've been a fan for years, and "Radio-Inactive" had my hopes up for an amazing album, but this is an utter let down.

Comment: Kinda dissapointed here. His production just aint doin it for me on this one. It's too bad cause I really liked Blueprint as an MC. Maybe its time to get RJD2 back in the mix and hit us with another Soul Position album. I can't recommend this... not even to a Blueprint fan.

Comment: Haha, Blueprint is a genius! That DJ sounded like such a lame-ass, how in the f*** are you a "dj" from Columbus and never heard of Blueprint!? Blueprint is definately one of thee most underrated artists in the hip-hop scene. His rhymes and especially beats are nothing short of amazing. Thank you for choosing music as a career Blueprint! BTW, Chamber Music was a slept-on classic
