    Summary

Broken Complex (BC) was formed in the heart of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley in 2004, as an independent record label and promotions company that sought to showcase these talented local artists and musicians. It has since released eight full length albums, and it's diverse roster of artists have been featured in magazines (URB, Deli LA, etc.), nationwide tours (Warped Tour, Rock The Bells), and consistent college radio play. In addition, BC hosts the longest running live hip hop event in San Fernando Valley: "Foundation".

The new Broken Complex self titled album brings the entire BC roster: DJ Hoppa, DJ Silly Kid, Laz, Mine+US, Sirah, Cleen, General Populus, Uncle D and Max Star together with special guests Copywrite, Intuition, and Pigeon John to deliver an instant classic. Production is handled by DJ Hoppa, with DJ Silly Kid on the scratches. The individually skilled emcees compliment each other perfectly over Hoppa's beats, bringing back the sound and individualistic vibe of hip hop groups like Hieroglyphics, Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest.

Comment: I got this CD on itunes a few days ago. Most of the beats are on point and most of the emcees come correct. The girl rapper and one other guy kinda throw the collective off with their ecentric styles. First 8 songs are fire.....Copywrite song was kinda lame. Feeling that pigeon john track, but the best track by far is number 2 "show stealing" hard as headknocking beats and raw ass lyrics, first dude kills it. He is first on alot of tracks, that first dude is definetly the wrecking shit.
