Cappadonna is back, at his best, to bring you The Cappatilize Project: the most powerful and most influential Wu-Tang Clan album to hit the streets since Enter the Wu-Tang. Cappadonna first appeared on "Ice Cream" from the notable Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and left listeners thirsting for more after dropping jewels on the banging "Winter Warz." Already having been labeled the 10th member of the clan, these guest spots earned him a place as an official Wu-Tang member. Dubbed "Papi the Wardrobe King" for his colorful slang on Wu-Tang Forever, he released his first solo album in 1998, The Pillage, which charted at number three and went gold in less than a month. He followed up in 2001 with his sophomore smash The Yin and the Yang and a compilation of his most beloved songs and guest appearances called Cappadonna's Hits. Since then, he has dropped The Struggle (2003) and the mixtapes Wu-South and The Greatest Dartz Ever Sold and he was the lead-off rapper on Wu-Tang's latest album, 8 Diagrams.

Straight from Shaolin, this Staten native delivers a soulful, neck-snapping album on The Cappatilize Project. Hit after hit it will touch your heart and move your spirit as Cappadonna drops science like it was 1988. With appearances by Q-Dini, Born Divine, Lounge Lo, and more, no one can resist this raw, uncut sound. It's time to Cappatilize.

Comment: alright I aint listen to the whole thing but one song, DREAM. Its interesting to hear cappa after a long time, he definatly changed his style up. His shit is way more not esoteric now, ya know dummbed down. but still its tight. He definatly holdin his head up above water, and keepin shit w/ style, more then most after the days when Master P and 50 started making it big off of bullshit no skill havin gimmick rap, which spread like a fuckin plague and ass fucked a lot of ppls game and originality. Although this shit is aight it def aint that wild one of kind unpredictable rhyme-skeme havin Cappadonna from before. That shit was priceless. "nikels thats bigger then dimes, you know the flava.."

Comment: I have not heard the album yet, so I can not say if it is good or bad. But I must express my difficulty of even wanting to check it out based on the album cover alone. Eric B Rakim played that scene a long time ago. But if its an intelligent perspective on "capitalism", then yeah, I'll check it, but somehow I doubt my man is that savvy, let alone inspirational.

Comment: you know what I agree with the dude below....I don't think cappadonna has any versatility either and is a very very very wack rapper and a human being for that matter! Fuck cappa! RZA, GZA, those guys are relevant from the wu, but cappa is a slimey motherfucker! Don't buy this cd, it will be a waste of your money!

Comment: When the pillage first came out I thought that album was one of the dopest albums of that time ('98). The songs (especially "The Pillage") is one of the hottest. That album was a visual masterpiece because of Cap's delivery, guest appearance's, martial art themes, and lyrical content. I wasn't impressed with the Yin and the Yang, but I hope this album will bring back that essence that "The Pillage" had. Nuff respect to Cappachino and the rest of the Clan.
