Cappadonna returns with a vengeance with the sound fans have told him they want to hear. On his last album "slang Prostitution", Cap showed us why he's the sacred heart of the Wu-Tang Clan, bringing forth his best effort since his RIAA cerified Gold "The Pillage".

"The Pilgrimage" ups the ante yet again, revisiting his 1990's flow, updated for the present, as he once again leads us into the future with his innovative lyrical styles with his new moniker "Barack O-Donna". This is very much a return to the classic Wu sound, not unlike what Raekwon did with his Only Built for Cuban Links II. Featured on this effort are his Wu-Compadres Inspectah Deck and Solomon Childs, as well as dope Staten Island locals Killah Black and Chedda Bang. Pilgrimage is at once a grimy revelation of truth through the eyes of a very seasoned artist, as well as a document of his journey back from a world of pain and treachery, in the never-ending search for spirituality and peace.

Comment: I have to agree with everyone here. Cappadonna hasn't dropped an album as solid as this one in years. just wish it had more Wu features. all I know on this album are Inspectah Deck and Solomon Childs. the other rappers were dope too, I just wish Ghostface or Killah Priest made a cameo or something.

Comment: Cappa's still got it! Solid album, better than I thought it would be. He's staying with the pace of the rest of the Wu by continuing to put out good qualty music.

Comment: @Brand-New You're right, my man. The actual hip hop culture is so underrated. I am a rap fan siunce the days of Public Enemy and NWA. I also remember back in the days the mix of good quality music, the flavour, the energy, the rhyming, the positive hip hop message. All that lacks now.... Still after 20 years I am a rap fan, but I am disappointed with most of the artists nowadays...

Comment: @Klaus, no doubt, ain't knockin him for that, I find that respectable too. If more MC's had Cappa's humbleness there would be a better hip-hop culture. I can't relate to G4 planes and Ace of Spades champagne, but I and most other people can relate to struggle.

Comment: @Brand-New Yes, he worked as a cab driver in Baltimore. For this thing I respect Cappadonna more! He is not that type of bullshit individual that is rhyming about money and hoez, but that type of real dude trying to survive in this world. Cab driver? Yes, you are right, but this is something that I respect! Regarding this album, I was impressed both with the lyrics and beats. The Pilgrimage is a must buy!
