    Summary

With one brief line on the song "One Love," Nas introduced the world to Cormega, and hip-hop hasn't been the same since. From his early recordings to his critically acclaimed debut album The Realness to various side projects, Mega has been one of the most consistent and creative artists to emerge from the infamous Queensbridge Housing Projects in New York, an area that has produced legendary hip-hop talent such as Nas, Marley Marl, Mobb Deep and countless others. His newest release Raw Forever stands as both a testament to Cormega's past triumphs and as a glimpse into his continued evolution as a forward-thinking artist.

Raw Forever is a special two disc set. One disc features Cormega performing with a full band,R&B powerhouse The Revelations, providing the musical backdrop. Lil' Fame, AZ, Nature, Blaq Poet, Tragedy Khadafi, Havoc, Red Alert, Parrish Smith, Grand Puba, KRS One & Big Daddy Kane all contribute as Cormega's best ever is reworked into a "live band" setting.

The second disc in Raw Forever features original/studio versions of Cormega's best material. Not a traditional "Best Of" per se, this is a selection of Cormega's favorites from across his career.

Whether you've been a fan for years or are just discovering him, Raw Forever confirms what true hip-hop fans have always known: Cormega never disappoints.

Comment: Don't hate on this, the live band still sounds better than most producers nowadays. At least they put an effort unlike most who just copy and paste the old vocals to a new bs beats.

Comment: cormega is an idiot. and lazy. cormega isn't a big enough artist to be selling live music. and if he wants to release his old songs with a band, give it out for free on a mixtape and have it lead into a new album. instead mega puts it out for sale, so 30 people can buy it and act like their happy about it. mega hasn't done shit worth hearing since the realness, it's been half ass album/compilation no one cares about since. sad. drop some real shit or retire.
