Comment: Count Bass D just dropped a digital album on Bandcamp called "Promises" and you can peep how he produces the track on a MPC 1000 on this youtube video titled "Count Bass D making the beat 'Promises' ", look that up! You might also find him on a SP... I dig his aproach on production and choice of samples from 45s. Im also a fan of EDAN who also apears on this Dwight Spitz album which seems to be a good combination of minds thinking alike but only one song on 'How we met', That same song or should I say lyrics from EDAN ironically was used for 'The Promised Land' off of 2005 release of the album 'Beauty And The Beat'. I think it would be a good idea if they did an album together but that all depends on mother nature and which way the winds blow.

Comment: All 24 songs range anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes in length, but you'll be hard pressed to find 1 weak cut. His formula is simple: light on lyrics, heavy on production and sampling. The way he makes beats just stands out from the rest.

Comment: Count Bass D deserves daps for his production. However, his rhymes are completely drowned out. M.F. Doom and Edan guest appear which are the best tracks. Listen to this for its musical aspect and not for lyrics.
