Summary

After "Start Ya Bid's" release in 2012, Dirt Platoon, the uncompromising Baltimore based duo, comes back with "War Face" fully produced by brilliant French beatmaker/Producer Kyo Itachi, known for previous albums with Ruste Juxx, LMNO, John Robinson.

"War Face" by Dirt Platoon exudes combat, the lyrical grenades burst out and go off with a powerful and savage rap, akin to Killarmy, CNN or MOP, backed by perfect and straight production. A Molotov cocktail!

Includes a bonus remix CD with remixes from Oh No (Stones Throw), Astronote, Venom, DJ Stresh

Comment: D-Train I didn't write my comment to go against what you said, I said it based of what I read up top in the Summary. Their style is rugged and reminiscent of the 90's (95 and 96 to be precise).

Comment: Rick I'm not comparing this to the war report or the infamous, I'm just saying they are doing rugged hip hop in that style of the 90's....These day most cats have R & b or jazz samples, I enjoyed the hardcore flavor on this.........

Comment: This jawn goes hard. Its unfair to compare these dudes to CNN and Mobb cuz they aren't on that level as of yet. But I'm glad these cats are here and keeping that steet hop alive. The beats are banging, lyrics are tight. What more you want.

Comment: So while driving threw west Baltimore today bumping "west Bmore story" 4 people asked me who it was and I realized how cool it was to have some go hard artist like this from the home of the O's...this album may very well be the theme music to the 38 shootings we've had in the last 3 days...MURDERLAND!!!..."ol time sake" is the joint man, I love the beat and they kill it.

Comment: WHOOOO WEEEEEE....CMON GOD...this ish right here iz so fucking hard...dam I almost had given up on street hop lately and don't get me wrong, I know of plenty of street hop groups that are holding this version of hiphop down son...but these katz right here mos def got my attention....its everything u want in street hop (ill grimy lyrics, some nice metaphors/punchlines, crazy ill scratches) the amalgamation of those elements make for a sound that was reminiscent of the 92/93 era....I WILL BE CPOIN THIS HEAT GOD....1NE

Comment: every track I heard from DP was good but the snowgoons track I didn't realy dig..mainly because Im from south Baltimore and I hate the way some ppl say music...MOOzick!!!...heering it said in a rhyme didn't sound good but besides that "FLAWLESS"...but your rite hella accent over heer I guess but never noticed it until I met Slaine from Boston and he told me I had an accent..of all the ppl to tell you that you have an accent its gotta be somebody from Baaahhstin, they got the worst accent.go pahk the cah in the hahba yahd!!!...anyway anything kyo touches is fire and if its even close to the kyo/ruste juxx album it should be HOTT!!!...and by the way they def are one of my fav's to come out of bmore rite next to Labtekwon...better then Comp,Bossman, and Mullyman combined...but opinions are like assholes...we all got one.

Comment: Album is hard as nails plain and simple. Certified east coast hip-hop. If your not from the hood theres a good chance this is not an album that you'll want. The "slur" is the bmore accent. Not country at all more foreign sounding. Trust and believe if your a fan of hardcore street rap this album will be worth every penny. These dudes are strait from the pj's and make music for street cats.

Comment: i tried listen to this dudes but thet are average at best! just like those little underground cliques jedi mind tricks, killer army, demigodz, wise men etc nothing special and most def not classic ! I dont see how you can com pare them to cnn or mop there work is noway as good war report ,firing squad ....and There accent is funny they rhyme with a country "Slur" it makes it hard to no what words they are saying!the beats sound like a a guy trying to sound like havoc but no where close to the god! not worth the money !
