    Summary

Lyrical acrobat Slim Shady returns after a five-year absence with his fifth major label release, continuing to strike the perfect balance between brooding insight and absolute silliness on 2009's RELAPSE. Opening single "Crack a Bottle" reunites Detroit's maddest rapper with his superstar mentor (Dr. Dre) and protege (50 Cent) on a fittingly funky tour de force.

Comment: 0 stars... Dig it... I DO own Turntables... Definitely… and got enough that even if you stood on my stacks you STILL couldn't see me and would have to look up. EM is a certified B!TCH!!!! He sucks and he is 9/10 of what has ruined HipHop for so many. The radio is TRASH because of fags like this. Him... his label mate 50... bunch of phukkin' muppets. Corporate hands in their asses; strings from their arms... The worst part is that he has convinced some of you chumps that he is a lyrical “beast”. He’s garbage. He is pure total trash. I don’t give two shits about HIS money cuz it ain’t mine and if you’re riding his balls on the strength of his riches then you know SHIT about this music. He is among the worst offenders. The WORST. Everything concerning Aftermath is ready for the fire. This shit actually hurts my ONE LAST feeling that fags think this CLOWN is HipHop. He’s trash. Seriously… Take his ass outside and put him on the curb… it’s Tuesday. Speaking of owning vinyl and turntables… who the PHUK is this cocksucker’s DJ????? Dre??????? Puh… motha… phukkin’ LEEZE! It’s BEEN over for this duo… pretty much since it started. I NEVER fell for it bitches… EVER!!!!!! You’ll never get me to sell my soul to this demon called ‘RAP’,. Real fans breathe HipHop and we exhale fags like this when we grunt to shit! This fag shits on NO ONE I like. I would put him up against my 20th favorite and he would get lyrically lobotomized! PEACE

Comment: lyrically he's still a monster and will shit on most emcees out today, underground or otherwise. some of the beats are a bit lacking, and a couple filler songs and club bangers which are expected keep this album from achieving "great" status. if you have an open-mind, which is crucial when it comes to music, and can get over the fact that it's a "mainstream" rap album, you should thoroughly enjoy em's worldplay and his flow which remains godly. hating things just because their popular doesn't make you cool.

Comment: This album is just short of classic period! It should have ended at Deja Vu and I could have definetly done without the child abuse story. Including the track My Darling from these recording sessions would have also been a plus. When it comes down to it Eminem is a lyrical acrobat and Dr.Dre really provides a variety of dope beats. There is one of the greatest albums ever hidden in this 70 plus minutes. The problem is the ending and length take away from the concepts of modern day drug addiction, horror themes, and a continuous destruction of pop music and wackness in general. Eminem always captivates with his creativity. Only four mics but there is a 5 mic masterpiece inside here you just have to listen harder because of all the distracting material.

Comment: whoever put 5 stars for this album has issues but then again its their opinion. Em could have done way better if he went a different route. Em, Dre, and the skits are getting old and maybe he should have went in another direction as far as beat wise. the eminem show was probably in my opinion the last good album he released. But em is a beast on the mic, no doubt

Comment: i enjoyed eminem's earlier work & I liked his movie 8 miles, the problem I have with eminem is that i'm sick to death over his subject matter it's like different versions of the same album, I have been put off by his work a long time ago but this album dropped & curiosity got the better of me because I used to like eminem, I even got a eminem jeans that I got around after 8 mile but I feel a bit embarrassed walking around with it these days & if he had put out a dope album I could wear my jeans again, right now the way I feel about em i'm going to give that jeans into the salvation army it still got a lot of wear in it

Comment: This album sucks, his voice is on that helium type shit. Its so annoying. Dre's beats are not as hard as they used to be, the whole album has that commercial sell out type feel. I just don't get it. Dudes like Em and 50 cent can do anything and it will sell, they don't have to sell out or compromise their integrity because people will still buy it. So why not make good stuff like back in the day. I mean how hard is it for Em to liste to the Slim Shady and Marshall MAthers LP's and just make an updated version of that. This album is a joke. And don't even get me started on snubbing Premier if that indeed happened

Comment: It's amazing Eminem came up from the underground to do all the things he has. He raps better than most other artists I have seen on UGHH over the past 9 years. I couldn't ask for much better than something like this. Some of Dre's production isn't up to snuff.

Comment: Cmon. Wtf. There is no fucking way this is a one star album. It is no where near eminem's best album but it is a very solid if not great album. Lyrically this album is monstrous, even to the point that the accent he uses sometimes doesnt bother me. This is the return of Slim Shady and 8/10 album with at least 10 ill tracks. Stop the hating.

Comment: It truly saddens me that this is in the top 5 on UGHH. I gave this album a chance, listened a few times and came to the conclusion that this is wack and hard to listen to. The beats are okay for dre. He should just go back to recycling obvious samples and loops. It's what he's good at......

Comment: I'ma be real on this review. Point blank album is off the hook lyrically. He didn't bring back Slim Shady what he did was becuz this was more of a personal album was he opened the doors for u to see through his mind. So when he invited everyone to that world people forgot that Slim Shady is still mentality inside of him. So there was alot of dark thoughts going on in his twisted mind but kepted Shady which is really his alter ego or inner demons inside of him but his listeners could see the Shady inside of him. Slim is still there and is apparently not going anywhere. In reality eminem needs Shady cuz thats the raw side of him the underground emcee in him the lyrical cat the I don't give a wha emcee in him. In this album u can say that Em has mangage to control Slim Shady but also let his other half come out musically to me its a complete well put album. Dre and Em really put in work in this album u can tell. Its great to even though the album is alittle twisted but its substance in a twisted way. Thats whats missing in this so call corny ass rap game. So hes given you skills and all of the above plus the usual Slim Shady persona. Its definitely a dope album. Its been awhile since we got a real dope album coming out of the mainstream in a awhile that u can consider it truly dope and thats real.

I always wondered why he never gave Esham any props it is so obvious he grew up on his shit I use to love some Easham in my teen angst days but now being 33 yrs, old it doesnt seem as cool. I love the underground for its new styles and ideahs that it brings to hip hop but come on lets be honest nobodies said anything I havent heard before. Comment: I listened to most of this album on Myspace a couple days ago. I've always said that yes Em CAN flow, unlike alot of other mainstream fucks (even though every other word is fuck, which is quite weak). Looks like he is still biting Cage's steelo, too. I think it's the song "insane" where he talks about an evil stepdad. Cage fans (most folks on here) will find this eerily similar to Cage's material.

Comment: Yo I just listened to the whole album on Myspace and I gotta say that I agree with Maine. Some of the production was dope, some of the concepts were decent but his delivery ruined it. The way he changed up his voice on some tracks, just made the song retarded. The hooks were terrible. Man whatever happened to the creativity on the Slim Shady LP, the shit he did on the Funk Flex albums, on Sway and Techs joint, on the first D12 album, some other shit he did like Scary Movies, Murder Murder(Dope shit), Any Man? He was witty while being funny and entertaining but now he is just straight up silly. He needs to get back to making Hip Hop, not this garbage. Oh and the Paul Skit hints at two discs, so hopefully he's got some good shit in store for the future (maybe the primo joint) we can only hope. Don't waste your money on this mess. Peace

Comment: The 3am joint is hot I cant even front, and the video is twisted. I dont know about this droppin in may,but I think no matter what people say,his soundscans are huge. Whether the album is any good is to be seen, but I think every1 gonna run out to cop it. and it sound like either Dre or Em himself produced 3am

Comment: Eminem earned my respect and believe it or not, has not lost it (even though I hated every album except the Slim Shady LP, and his live show being corny). I believe in the "props" system and I think Eminem has paid dues. With that being said, I gave a couple of his "newer" songs a listen (one being 'Crack a Bottle'), and came to the conclusion that his new stuff is TRASH! DO NOT BUY THIS, DOWNLOAD IT AND BUY SOME DOPE INDEPENDENT STUFF INSTEAD! I'm sure we will have to hear this blaring from the radio for the next 2 years anyway.
