Product Details

The first installment of a "Bassment Tapes" series, each including a different guest emcee and sonic atmosphere as well an assortment of different producers. "Write To Remain Violent" takes Epidemic back to its hardcore roots with a vengeance. Chicago native: Dreamtek joins forces with the lyrical duo as the three emcees go toe to toe in a battle of lyrical supremacy over hardcore boom bap production. Producers include Double Lyfe, The Loop Holes, Giallo Point, DJ Qvali, One-Take, and 5th Element, while guest features include Efeks, Robust and DJ Tha Boss. Each "Bassment Tapes" project is specifically intended for a 12" release (hence the 30 min length) and will be initially released as a limited edition cassette tape.

Comment: Similar to their debut album "Illin Spree," this project reflects the two emcees mind-blowing intricacy with rhymes and flow patterns. The penmanship of "Hex One" and "Tek-Nition" which build the duo called "Epidemic" is top-notch and these dudes will go down as one of the most lyrically gifted emcees in hip hop history, without a doubt!

Comment: It hasn't been released yet, but this joint will be packed full of complex polysyllabic rhyme patterns, rapid fire flows and boom bap beats which invite you to nod your head until it falls off! Hex One and Tek-Nition honestly are one of the best rappers when it comes to technical versality. Buy this.

Comment: This is the first time I writin a comment in UGHH. So First of all I have to say, fuc* all these pop rappers , all these kanyes drakes 2chainz and UGHH is su*kin a$$ for sellin their records. Second Hip Hop is really dying, every year it gets worser. And I mean every section of Hip Hop (including Underground Rap). The only music you really can listen to is old skool rap, today maybe Tragic Allies Ill Bill, Necro, Wu-Tang, Killah Priest, old JMT, old army of the pharaohs, LCOB. But these cats Epidemic, man they really bring it to the fullest always on point, they fu*kin hardcore (and I don't mean this stupid im killin you with a boxcutter hardcore shit that is present now in underground rap), Epidemic is bringin real intelectual rhymes, real topics you have to handle wit every day in life, in all sectors of society. The Beats always sick. Epidemic are the best rappers now in the game. Im listenin the short samples up and down and I have to say this is gonna be the best album after Killa Priest's PWOWR in 2013. The beats are really sick. I love their music People go support Epidemic this is real rap, real UNDERGROUND rap!!!

Comment: @first born: all epidemic's albums are superdope. you got a hardcore bangers album, a melancholic album and a jazzy boom bap album, the last one is my favorite cause i'm all about smokey jazzy samples and dusty drums. lyrics always on point, nice flow, everything is superdope. check their videos on youtube, these guys are very young, but very talented and they really seem to love what they do. for me, "something for the listeners" is one of the best album of this year. you don't want to sleep on these guys, that's really be a shame.

Comment: I never really listened to these cats...I fuck with underground shit though and only underground jedi, aotp, madchild, slain, ill bill, tragic I ask does anybody think I should give it a listen if I like those artist...are they anything like that...I like anything that close to the WU...ive fucked with the WU my whole life but when they stopped making a lot of music I went to jedi mind tricks and found out there was so much good underground shit and im willing to give anything a listen now...imam check out some of Epidemics older work...I have heard them on some compilation/producer albums but you never know if that's the type of beats they fuck with or are they straying to make that kind of music for the producer so imam see whats up.
