    Product Details

Fat Joe - as one of the best MCs in the world during the past decade, very few MCs have matched his longevity, especially within the last five years. There are only a handful of rap artists who can claim the commercial success and street credibility of the Terror Squad Don. Throughout his career, Joe has obviously been cut from the cloth of supreme mic holders. He's held his own on songs with modern day legends such as Big Pun and Big L, the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Grand Puba and one of the greatest collection of Masters of Ceremonies to ever assemble, D.I.T.C. Fat Joe has sold over 2.5 million albums, discovered some of the best artist in the rap game (Big Pun, Remy Ma, etc.), been nominated for two Grammy awards, and has achieved commercial and critical success.

The new album J.O.S.E. 2 will have the usual supporting cast of A-level producers and guest artists including Lil Wayne, Akon and Ron Browz. The street track "Winding On Me" was leaked during the holidays and is already getting quality mixshow spins at urban radio. The first single "One" features Akon and will be serviced to radio in February.

Fat Joe's prophetic quote, "2008 going into 2009, when we say 'Happy New Year', we're gonna really celebrate. I'm going for all the marbles. Its gonna be my biggest year." J.O.S.E. 2 will take Fat Joe to the next level and make the world stand up and recognize the era of "Crillz Mania" has finally arrived.

Comment: LOL this shit sucks. Coming from a kid who first heard Joe with D.I.T.C. & rippin shit with Pun, this blows dick. I know this shit is supposed to be for the clubs and all that, but Christ, Joe sucks harder than Superhead on this. Some of the beats go hard, but it ain't like I ain't heard the shit on some generic Southern mixtape somewhere. Joe comes extra wack on this shit. Thank God for Raekwon on this shit man, because this is terrible.

Comment: The D.I.T.C members will be cringing with embarassment at this pathetic effort!! and Big L and Party Arty (forever R.I.P) will be turning in their graves!! Never in a million years would I have dreamed of witnessing Joe doing collabs with absolute muppets like Lil Kim, Akon, and Lil Wayne amongst others here, and its even more grieving to see Rae associated with this piece of ???? of which I wouldn't even wipe my ass with after a ????. This really beaks my heart for real!

Comment: fat joe is going backwards not forwards with his music. dude was sick before and now his music just makes me sick. the only heads that like this are the ones who cultivate in strip clubs. Yo AC much love my dude, dont forget sik jakken. the only thing that I like about this is the back cover of the cd, kind of reminds me of big l's first album with the night time street vibe to it

Comment: In response to khattab09 I respect your view but in my mind other great artists such as Beatnuts, Kurious Jorge, Main One, Big Pun and Cypress Hill amongst other great talents have done more for hiphop, Borikas/Dominicans and light skinned people....fluck it all ethnic groups who represent the essence of hiphop culture. Ok Kurious and Main one only released one album each but they were true bangers and I'm speaking from an objective perspective as a black man (although race is no issue for true talent) Peace!!!

Comment: Follwing no one! Yes Fat Joe is not on top of his game on this album, but this goes to prove that old dogs can learn new tricks. Love Joe for what he has done for Hiphop, Borikuas/ Dominicans, lighter skinned people-whatever! He is still nice but he needs to drop some more of the boom-bap sound. Peace!

Comment: I'm gonna give my UNBIASED opinion of this album, cuz really, I could give two fucks about Fat Joe. Lyrically, I'm not impressed, but also, not surprised. I will though give props to the production work. There's a time and a place for everything, and for many different kinds of rap music. I can say 85% of this album would bump hard in the strip clubs. But other than that... ehhh. I do like the Jimi Hendrix sample in "Joey Don't Do It". That, and the last track "Music" is the only songs I heard with a heartfelt, underground sound. Overall, I think beats alone do not make an album and Fat Joe should take a long look at exactly what he is tryin to represent, cuz I hear him, but I don't feel the Bronx...

Comment: What did you all expect?? You have T-Pain and Lil Wayne on a Fat Joe album. This spells disaster and I don't even have to listen to it. This is why we keep it underground.

This faggot ass autotune trend he's 'eating off of' is like the hamburgers he'd be eating off of working at mcdonalds. Eventually the music crap he's eating will kill his music, just like eating McDonalds every day. He's already fat!

Comment: What a revolting specimen Fat Joe is. It was forgivable when he made good music. To think he was part of D.I.T.C. whose ethos, production values, and quality control were among the titest in Hip Hop. Swizz fucking beats? Do us all a favour Joe Cartagena, stop milking your alliance with Pun and go get a 9 to 5, you're not needed in music anymore.

Comment: I know it's wrong of me to give it one star without ever listening to the album, but the guest line up alone makes me sick to my stomach! If "Represent"-era Joe were to hear his present day stuff, he'd probably sock 2009 Joe in his fucking mouth! This sort of shit is why so many claim that hip-hop is dead. It fucking isn't, but this wackness will get more light than say, the new Will C album. Retire Joe!
