    Summary

A brutal tale of gangsters, betrayal and one vengeful soul hunting the 12 most powerful crime lords in the World. The Deluca's pressed Tony's remains into 12 vinyl records. One for each member of the family. But little did they know - he would return...

The sounds of classic 36 Chambers-era Rza meld with Portishead and the Italian film music of Ennio Morricone on 12 Reasons To Die, the new album from Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge. This project is a daring,full-length Crime/ Horror concept album. 12 Reasons' Executive Producer and Ghostface's longtime Wu-Tang Clan collaborator The Rza refers to the album as "groundbreaking" in the hip hop genre.

To visually flesh out the dark and gritty world of 12 Reasons, Soul Temple Records via Black Mask Studios is concurrently releasing a 6-issue comic book miniseries of the same name, which features striking visuals froma host of stellar comic book artists and an intriguing dual-narrative struture. Issue 1 of the comic will be included with the Deluxe version of this release.

Ghostface Killah' prominence in hip hop hs grown steadily over his 20-plus year career - including recent high-profile appearances on Kanye West's Cruel Summer, Rza's The Man With The Iron Fists soundtrack and the new Wu-Block Album - 12 Reasons catches the gifted MC at the height of his lyrical prowess.

Composer/ producer/ instrumentalist Adrian Younge represents the next generation of black music producers. His aim is an organic re-appropriation of hip hop circa the mid-90s. His previous releases, the Black Dynamite (2009) soundtrack album and Something About April (2011), touched on psychedelia, 'blaxploitation,' and the cinematic soul of the 1970s. 12 Reasons is Adrian's first project in which he's immersed himself in the world of rap and hip hop.

Comment: Tical is Tical. you can't compare it to Ghostface Killah, that is good too, or better yet, that was good too. Meth was fucked up on commercial bullshit, but... Try to think to what he can do if he start to use his potential to do experiment things. He will drop classics. WORD UP! Anyway, I repeat that I gave 3 star, so I don't think that this is trash, but not even good as yall saying and not even that it's a big experimentation album. Listen this people: Only few months ago, El-P dropped "Cancer For Cure". Go to listen that an d the others El-P's albums, then yall will discover who the fuck bring original and experimantation things! Add the Twin Perils and Creative Juices too. That is what you call experiment and new original things. SINCE YEEEEAAARS AGOOO!...And I got everything original. You and maaaaany people, lost the best rap music of the last six years!!!! No question. After this...nothing. Oh, yes, another thing to repeat. People is soft now, so soft music sell more. The Quel album (and I like Quel), is another perfect example, but I can continue to name a lot of other people. End. We need original things, but created with intensity too, just, like the great rappers that I named before, doing. Go to buy the new Ide and Alucard album...then, if you like this, buy it, but there are so many big albums to buy. Yall know Lord Gamma? HA ha ha haaaa haa. Yeh, now, go to search and like his album, then, go to fuck yall self to not believe in people like me. Bastaaards! Ha ha... Time lost again. Anyway, I still to teach. No one can say no. GO TO LISTEN, LEARN AND...ENJOOOY!!!!!!!! Real passion here. Yall can't fuck.

Comment: Definitely isn't Ghosts best album, but come on. This album doesn't deserve less than 3 stars. The production is what got me into this alubm, and Ghost is what kept me there. The Apollo Brown remixes are pretty chill too.

Comment: You talkin about the youngsters and teachin them like there the ones on this comments page. NOpe. They're the disrespectful little shits that don't even know ghostface and don't care where the music they listen to now came from. Don't waste your time tryna "teach" or "explain." In fact, the youth is what brotha stark was talkin about on whip you with a strap prod. by RIP DILLA on another Ironman CLASSIC, FISHSCALE. Would rather listen to apollo kids than danny brown, kendrick lamar, macklemore or any other new wack shit that's out.and ME, your ramblings no sense. Kweli new shit was weak, czarface dope. 12 reasons to die sets a mood, a scene, that's the reason for the beats being trippy and that's why no one would ask tical to be on it cuz he has no more creativity left and no balls to experiment. STOP HATIN. ENJOY!!!

Comment: Come on... There are really good albums to buy... Give money to who deserve it, expecially in this times. He keep doing it? wow... as evry other Wu member and as every rapper of 40 or more years old! Where is the special thing? He allways drop quality average to classics? Yeeeh, on Ironman and Supreme Clientele sure, but he made a lot of albums and those are only good or less and many boring and sexy commercial contents shit tracks and the classi The Pretty Toney Album... A CLASSIC TO BE PUTTED ON TRASH! So, stop wryte bulshit and start to teach the real things to this younger, just as people like me do. They need knowledge. Yall only make them burn their money. Anyway, 90% of youngers ONLY DOWNLOAD FOR FREE AND USING MONEY TO BUY TECNOLOGY SHIT AND CONSOLE GAMES. So, it's useless lost time to teach. THIS IS THE 2013 TIME SITUATION. Only truth on my things. Anyway, I already rated with 3 star...So, I have not gave 1 or 2. This deserve 3 or 3,5 and stop. An album not bad but not even great or really good. So, yall start to give right rates. If this deserve 4 or 5, how deserve the Demigodz, Czarface, RA The Rugged Man, Lone Ninja, June Marx, Goondox and other albums out in this times??????? Come on... Compare and try to believe that this album deserve 5 or 4 star. Yall can't do nothing more in fronth of the truth. So, what yall say now? Bullshittes... To the youngers:start to learn, listen everything and buy some album,if you can...stop buy useless things, created by the system worms. Buy a game, but buy 6 or 10 albums every game too. Ok? If not, stop trying to be a rap music listener or worst yet a rapper or a MC, becouse you can't! Words from a real underground rapper and MC since 1998. Me.

Comment: The beats are dope but all the cats complaining about the beats are likely fans of that new synthesized sound. Maybe the fact that I could pull most rappers samples out of my OWN crates is a problem!!! MAYBE the fact that producers don't even TRY anymore is a problem... MAYBE... just MAYBE... you are expecting something to pump in the club. As a non-stop fan of this genre who has lived the genre and I don't mean simply coc wrangling, cooking, and cannon blasting, I mean when we KNEW that it was cool to tag... KNEW that it was cool to break... knew that it was peace to carry your box on your shoulder with a back pack full of D batteries... and we WORSHIPPED the DJ at house parties because THAT was HipHop... anybody remember that??? I am THAT era and this progression of HipHop suits me. Beats BANG!!! Starks lyrics always on point!!! Popeye actually spoke it best.

Comment: Umm the production is boring?? These beats are the best ive heard ghost spit to in awhile as his last few LP's have been hit or miss with me. The production has emotion and may sound simple but has many small layers that an average listener may miss. Heard the apollo brown version but I still like this better.. plus ghost rips it on the mic as usual, add a couple of wu guest spots to even it out and you have a banging project, well done!

Comment: If you like soulful abstract one dimensional hip hop consisting of redundant story lines than this LP is for you. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Can you really see yourself pumpin this album in your ride or on the train? Really? A couple of tracks are good.. The others sound like a hip hop opera (which I think was the intention - soulful delfonic sound).. It fails to even come close to that bust your shit open lyricism that the Wu is know for. Check it out before droppin the bread like I did. This is definitely a

Comment: This is a great album. You have to listen to it from start to finish. The snippets dont do it justice. I will be seeing Ghost at Cat's Cradle in May. Rap Legend + Live Ban has to be seen.

Comment: Instant phukkin' CLASSIC!!!! Opinions will vary but those that do won't and cannot count!!! The FIRST track was the sealer for me, that beat was SO vintage Wu that it hurt. Right your mind to hear it and you will hear it!!! It is something that needs a disciplined ear. This doesn't have shit to do with whatever ANY of mainstream radio-pimped pansies see HipHop as and the features alone speak VOLUMES of the true element of the genre. Because while you may not believe it there is a STARK difference between Rap and HipHop. Critically! No Weezy, no Drake... no a$$hole face-tat flunkies and NOTHING safe enough to create a dance for or bang in the club. Ahhhh HipHop, you're back Baby and I missed you so... Apparently there are still some available to keep the house warm when you are off on Holiday. Cheers Ghost!!!

Comment: If you look at Ghostface's entire discography: All the albums with Wu-tang, his solo projects, his own group collaborations, and guest spots....I don't see how he can't be considered one of the greatest of all time. No one else in hip hop has a catalog like he does

Comment: WOOOOOOOO god dam this is fyre. this sounds real cinematic. Adrian Younge took alot of influences from Rza , but ironically those elements seem more realized than Rza Himself could muster up for his fellow Wu members. I'd say this is a solid Classic !!!

Comment: I recommend this strictly for Wu fans. Not my cup of tea, whatsoever. BUT, big ups 2 Face for upping up his pen game, & coming out all horrorcore on the lyrics. Can't wait for his collabo with Doom.

Comment: Its a good album, but I m not feeling the beats that much. Especially the first one, Younge wasted a truly classic entry with that incredible hook by using a weird ass wek beat... Judging from the snippets, Apollo Browns version will murder the original, that truly sounds like some vintage Wu!

Comment: I said it and I agree with Brand-New, this is one if not the best Wu-Tang LPs they have put out thus far. I just really wish Raekwon was featured as Ghost and Rae are one of the best tag team duos in Hip Hop so I was surprised he wasn't featured here (wouldn't have minded hearing Meth and GZA too). Still it is a classic regardless.

Comment: This album is simply amazing. This is vintage Ghost and Adrian Younge is brilliant on the production side. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here (or maybe not),but this could go down as one of the best Wu-Tang related albums ever. Time will tell.

Comment: Are all the members of wu-tang releasing comic concept albums or something? Inspectah deck czarface and this. If so that would be cool as hell. The first track the rise of the ghostface killah sounds awesome kind of like some quinton tarrentino music. It's a great concept having a story album where 12 people kill tony starks and he comes back from the dead as the ghostface killah to get revenge on the guys who killed him plus I think they are releasing a 6 part comic telling the story also.
