Comment: Bring back Block McCloud. 9th is dope and all, but nothing is better than Jean with Block. Generally, I want brooklyn academy to drop another CD. Jean is ridiculous, but she is the best with a team.

Comment: This album is an example of how sampling/publishing laws are killing Hip-hop. It may say, "PRODUCED BY 9TH WONDER" on the cover, but the truth is, Kweli had to get some people to replay some of 9th's beats in order to get it released because they couldn't clear the samples. They replayed "Don't rush Me" (even though they had the original untouched version already released on her THIS WEEK album), "Think About Me" was redone with cheap keyboards (Jean had to resing the vocals), "American Pimp" sounds even cheaper, and "Love Thirst" is the only replay that actually worked. I'm sure that 9th has millions of unused instrumentals lying around that could've been used instead. Yeah, there are some good songs in here, but with how much this album has been gutted to aviod the wrath of the RIAA, you're better off downloading the real version.

Comment: listen..i never took pete rock of his credentials. His accomplishments. I totally respect. My statement comes when magazines have compare 9th wonder to a modern pete rock. When I listen to 9th...i can tell there is a influence of pete rock in this sound. no question. I just got totally turned off when I listen to that crap " ny finest" I was totally disappointed. Here comes 9th wonder, a hard working producer and willing to make a record with anyone. He is the future of hip hop, soul music, and etc. Its his time to show his talent. Its time to open doors for the new generation to step in. So im a huge support what 9th has been doing , and will do. Its hard to bring back the " golden era" of hip hop. That was a moment where we have appreciate . We need to save hip hop now.

His last album didn't move me either but he is a legend in the game... Pete has mad singles under his belt... 9th is mos def the future of hip hop with a host of others mugs coming up, but Pete, Dilla, Premo, Madlib are classic producers.....He's like the Pete Rose of Hip hop...

Comment: HOW MANY CLASSIC ALBUMS HAS HE PUT PUT?!?! What the fuck kind of question is that! Umm lets see Soul Survivor, Soul Survivor II, Main Ingredient, Mecca & The Soul Brother, PeteStrumentals, Funk Spectrum II, Lost & Found, Suviving Elements, My Own Worst Enemy!!! Come on man how the fuck do you not know these pete rock classics!?!? What the hell do you mean "he makes one record in the 90's and now hes a legend"??? If he aint a legend why is it that other talented producers like 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Quest Love, Khrysis, Illmind, S1 (just to name a few) look up to him as an influence or idol!!! Dude hes also a legend cuz hes been making classic hits not only for his albums but for other artists back in 90's and the present. He did production and made vinyl lp's for artists' like Nas (Illmatic), Rakim, Run DMC, Edo G, One Be Lo, Busta Rhymes, Little Brother, Naughty By Nature, J-Live, House of Pain, Lord of the Underground, Das Efx, Public Enemy etc..........!!! If it wasnt for Pete Rock the "remix" wouldent even be invented. He was the one who fuckn invented the "remix". Let me give you a hint Public Enemy "Shut em Down Remix", which is by the way the GREATEST REMIX OF ALL TIME! I can go on all day naming all remixes he did. What kind of hip hop fan are you man!?! And why the hell are you bringin 9th Wonder into? I thought we were talkin about Pete Rock. Anyways its yo ass who really needs to sit down and ask yourself these fuckn questions and think really hard about what I just wrote bitch! So FUCK U & your opinion, IM OUT, PEACE!

Comment: let me tell you one thing. How many classic albums pete rock has put out??? can you name them ?? how many albums he has put out with producers??? Here comes 9th wonder , a talented , ambitious producer who will make a record with any artist, and make them sound great. he did it with skyzoo, murs, and buckshot, etc. yeah , pete rocks gets his respect in the hip hop community. I aint going to front. did you hear his last album ?? that shit was trashed. pete rock has never been consistent producer like 9th wonder. so u telling me pete rocks makes one record in the early 90's..and now his is a legend??? really need to sit down and ask yourself these questions. fuck you , and fuck your opinion. peace.

Comment: Sympathy, I agree with you. Ask the majority of dick riders how many classic albums Pete Rock has produced. I believe BOTH of them were with C.L. Smooth. He is like Kobe without Shaq. Jim Jones is the first artist featured on his newest album. Fuck outta here!

Comment: Lets be real here. Jean grae is a talented mc, and she deliver proper lyrics in this album all the way. What im most satisfy is all the work 9th wonder has done. He has put out albums with little brother, kaze, skyzoo, murs, buckshot, and now with jean grae. This producer is amazing, and he keeps delivering that sound that we are missing. Big up to 9th for all his hard work. Classic album

Comment: Any album that 9th produces is guaranteed to be ill. He's without a doubt the best producer since Dilla(RIP). And Jean is the dopest female mc since Lauryn Hill. So big ups to both of them for puttin this together
