    Summary

For more than fifteen years, the name Jedi Mind Tricks has become synonymous with raw, gritty underground hip-hop. From their debut album, The Psycho Sical in 1996 to their seminal sophomore release Violent By Design, to their musical expansion heard on Servants and Heaven, Kings in Hell, JMT has made and indelible impression on the independent music scene while arguably forgingits own subgenre of rap. Now led by the fiery vocals of controversial frontman, Vinnie Paz, and his venerable rhyme partner, Jus Allah, the group has built one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful careers in independent music.

On October 25th, JMT unveils its seventh studio album, Violence Begets Violence through Vinnie Paz's own imprint, Enemy Soil. JMT fans can expect more of the uncompromising, unrelenting brand of hardcore rap music that has attracted legions of some of the most loyal fans in indie music. The 14-track album features appearances from Vinnie Paz's Army of Pharoahs crew members and others while JMT producer, Stoupe, hands over production duties to a new wave of talented producers honed on the JMT sound, but set on taking a fresh take on a classic formula.

Comment: This is old news but never commented on it...Its not a bad album at all if your jus and vinnie fans, cause thats what this is a vinnie and jus collab album, this is not JMT at all, the production, message and lyrical content are completely different from the psycho social/vbd/vog days. To say there keeping it real as JMT would be a fuck face lie. Stoupe made jmt what is was with out him its just not JMT. Still bangs tho, C lance is a fag but what eves, design in malice fuckin kills shit

Comment: You don't need to have an extensive rap sheet to be hard and come from philadelphia. There are massive neighborhoods the size of some cities where you could kill whoever the fuck you wanted in broad daylight and get away with it. Jay-z is a pussy. That being said, this album sucked rat cock. Lorrie isn't good enough to get anywhere, I don't know what stoupe is doing. Like painting the mona lisa and letting a five year old with down's syndrome fingerpaint over that shit. If he needs to do something else, thats fine, but there are thousands of people he could potentially be working with. I hope Lorrie is a really good lay.

Comment: Not outstanding record from angle of the JMT's level, I think all songs are of the same type in their production. But I don't agree with those who say this is a mean work. The work is very good, but not outstanding as I expect.

Comment: I givin this 2 stars because it had a few gems (design in malice, blood born enemy, streetlights) the rest was brutal... and not in a good way I mean it was brutal. without stoupe its a total miss. vinnie shudve signed Nero or mr.green instead of c-lance im already tired of his beats, shit is just repetitive to the fullest

Comment: it's very bland, stoupe is sorely missed. he always kept the albums cohesive and he rarely misses. the beats sound like run of the mill aotp tracks and lyrically they're coasting. the two have talent, but they're going through the motions. best tracks are street lights and dsign in malice. the former for the thoughtful introspection, the latter for pace and zee, with mr. green on the boards. been a fan about 10 years, other fans shouldn't kid themselves, this isn't up to par. if you give it a 5/5 then you have to give legacy of blood a 10/5, which is absurd.

Comment: I like vinnie paz jus allah and the rest of army of the pharaohs. But alot of the songs on this album are very mediocer,IMO the only good verse on this album is Demoz's on Carnival of Souls. I am a huge fan of AOTP and as jedi mind tricks continue to make music I deffinetly find that they are losing their touch. Vinnie Paz just keeps making ok verses where as the rest of aotp such as outerspace esoteric celph titled etc, make quality content and work hard to make their albums good. Take My Brother's Keeper by Outerspace for example. IMO that album was the best of 2011 and one of my favorites of all time. And my least favorite verse off that album is Vinnie Paz on Mossberg Solution, now that verse I cannot lie was not well done at all, Vinnie said in one of OS's vlogs that he made that verse not expecting what the beat would be like , and his verse turned out like crap. im rambling right now but all in all VBV Vinnie & Jus did not put their heart into this one, it seems now that Vinnies focus is Quantity > Quality when for everything it should be the other way around. whatever I still got the other aotp guys to listen to!!

Comment: I agree w/ the guy below me but I think Arnold from "The Wonder Years" said it best when he said "Things change Kev" haha. I don't like the new stuff nearly as well but it's not 1998 anymore so most artists music isn't going to stay the same for that long. Even if this sounded like the VBD album still you would probably complain that all their albums all sound the same. Even though this album is not nearly as good as JMT has been in the past it's still one of the better hip hop albums in 2011. They do need some refreshments other than alcohol when it comes to their lyrics though. Jus Allah has been enjoying too many Twilight movies with all his blood drinking and vampire BS.

Comment: jmt hasn't put steady conceptual heavy thinking music since their 3rd album. vinnie & jus try too hard in sounding hard and crazy. they even altered their voices. this is reality little kids. don't start tripping on the truth. it gets extremely redundant when rappers claim they're different, yet they talk about killing and murder, yet we all know that they have no attempted murder cases. even bubble gum rappers like jay z & lil wayne are more thugged out then them. if not check theyre rap sheet, & no homies, they weren't publicity stunts, they were teenagers when they did theyre shit....

Comment: Not their best but better than the last. The main issue I have with this vinyl version that I don't see people bringing up is the horrible sound quality. I've never bought an album in over 15 years on vinyl that has as much hiss in the background as this release does. It's just about as bad as listening to a cassette tape and it happens throughout both LPs from start to finish. It has something to do with the vinyl itself too It’s not the recording of the album because it happens on the blank areas of the vinyl (beginning, in-between tracks, and after tracks). If you don’t believe me put some headphones on that are decent and you’ll hear it.

Comment: Big let down, beats ok, but the chalice song is gay with its corny reggae dub shit, jus allah needs to bring out more shit like 'white nightmare', paz needs to combine kings in hell and legacy of blood styles filter out the pathetic chorus, season of the assassin has paul wall on it with so I have lost faith in paz. Vinnie paz if your reading this take my advice, your a disapointment to me I hate your attempt to lick mainstream anus. Fuck paul wall and gay demoz

Comment: Pathetic as all jedi mind shits albums, actually the incredible beats produced by stoupe made the group and created all this hype around them. This guys have a limited vocabulary and always come with 3rd grade rhymes, so I cant like such mediocre effort album after album, this clowns only talk about "i kill you" "i kill you more" "you're a faggot so i'll kill you" "i'm muslim fuck your religion and i'll kill you" bla bla bla when they never pull a trigger. Lyrically they have not to offer. Only confused stupid bitch molested teenagers like this.

Comment: Jedi mind tricks hasnt had conceptual rap since servants in heaven kings in hell. They'll throw a beat with an intro making you think its conceptual then they just talk about how your a faggot and how they are the shit. Then they throw in 3 or 4 words that make you think they are going to get conceptual and then they just talk about killing people and being the shit and how your gay. Look at any really good track on kings like uncommon valor for example, take rugged man out that song, and it drops a shit load with quality, Take Stoupe off the album when he is the producer for the dope JMT albums that put them on the map in the first place....the lack of concept, which put JMT on the map in the first place gives this .1 stars, but thats not a selection so I say 1.

Comment: It's funny how a guy trying to cause static over the internet would call himself the "realest". Typing tough words on the keyboard are probably as "real" as things get for you. I never claimed this album to be classic, or anywhere near.

Comment: @Micaco, Perhaps you should spend less time attempting to explain why people who like this album shouldn't like it,and instead go back and finish grammar school. "...people are is helping jedi every day more bad music", "...the important thing is to make each day better albums" Sorry dog, but you're the one not making "sense", and to criticise people who like this while speaking like a moron was in "bad taste".

Comment: I don't get why people here are comparing this album to Violent by Design. They are 2 completely different albums from 2 completely different era's. With that said, JMT made a good album here. Jus Allah suprisingly stepped up his bars for the most part, and the production was solid, especially C-Lance. Vinnie went hard on this album, and DJ Kwestion does another excellent job on the cuts and scratches.

Comment: First, this album is NOTHING at all like Violent by Design. Whoever says that is an idiot. Second, why the fuck is Paz all of sudden all about satan. it completely contradicts anything hes ever rapped about before in his whole career. Satanism is a big deal and it is very bad...its the basis of the fucked up poeple/leaders in our fucked up country. He has all this influence on people and hes using it to push satanism. I love Paz and I love Jedi but Im definitely not down with his satanic crap on this album. Its doing the complete opposite of what his previous work has done. Either hes doing it for shock factor(i hope) or hes fuckin part of the illumiati now. I just dont want to listen to satanic music and he pushes it on this album. The only thing that makes me not hate it is on Carnival of Souls he says "my overall objective is to conquer satan with the power of god." But to say that is a contradiction cuz every other song he pushes satanism. I dont fuckin know guys. And with Stoupe neing gone, this album has a whole different feel than any Jedi Mind Tricks album. It should be call Paz and Allah, not Jedi Mind Tricks

He's a lot more listenable on this one. Slightly disappointed in this release but overall its okay. I would of liked to hear some features with Ap or Celph instead of demos and chip fu.

Comment: Let me tell you kids something, Vinnie paz is the most bitch poser wannabe fake cat in the underground. He keep yellin the same bullshit "war against christians bla bla bla" just to sound cool, tryin to be someone who he's not just to make people think he's a "hard guy" and eventually (i mean always) contradicting himself. He's a italian descendant right? So like the majority of the italians his family is probably catholic at all, and he keep sayin he would "kill any christian to make justice to islam" and shit. So he will kill his own family??? That's fuckin stupid and ridiculous, he's tryin to print himself as a "gangsta-wahabi-martyr-super-bad-cool-street-rapper" instead of focus on make good raps with real substance and not sound pathethic like many of times. How many Stoupe ILL beats he wasted with this bullshit?? COUNTLESS, I guess I know why Stoupe decide leave the group and try some new things. Don't get me wrong, I don't thing he's a garbage, I just think his subjects many times is too childish and stupid, and he have enough skills to do somehing better. But for now with this fake talk he's just a poser.

Comment: I listened to this and was wondering why it didn't sound like JMT then came here and saw that Stoupe was no where to be found on it. How is this a JMT album? This is actually worse than History of Violence. Let's face it, Jus Allah doesn't have it anymore and Vinnie seems to be ok w/picking up the slack, but it's not enough. Not w/out Stoupe's classic production on board. I'd give it a 1 star if it wasn't for Demoz actually saving some tracks with his verses. He's one to look out for.

Comment: That old jedi mind style isn't present here at all. Stoupe was the heart and soul of this group. Some wack ass tracks on here, too. And Vinnie and Jus go spittin' that hardcore garbage rap they spit on any other AOTP beat. My 12 year old sister could put together more intelligent rhymes than these monkeys.

Comment: must say I saw this coming! The same pattern of lyrics from vinny and jus needs stop dreaming that he is some real mass murderer who strikes fear into the hearts of men. vinny's solo was dope but this went back to lazy rhyming, repeating similar verb usage from collabos and the worst part is the stubborn ridiculous continued inclusion on demoz on any fukn record..Vinny wake the Fu$c up and rid urself of that turd,he is hot garbage! Will continue to bump this and see If I begin to enjoy it more. Right now Apathy has the top album this year!

Comment: This album is very weak in subject matter, basically Vinnie & Jus stick to the same formula of very basic battle rhymes but the beats are the surprise of this album considering no Stoupe, I actually thought, apart from maybe 3 tops, that the beats were very good, some even sounding very much like the Stoupe sound from past albums but boy do the 2 MC's let it down... I like Vinnie, I really do but when every verse on every track is basically the same, it gets very old, very quick. Jus is finished in my opinion his rhymes and voice are horrible. Not a shit release but this shoulda been sooo much better considering the JMT history. of all the AOTP releases this year, Ap, Outerspace & Reef dropped the best albums, this was def a step down along with the really bad King Syze album, now that was awful yo!

Comment: I use to be a big JMT fan but the production on this is terrible...I know it's not the 90's but the mid evil horn sounds that they use on every song and album lately is so played... Jus Allah did his thing and it was good to have him back but the old Stoupe was mos def missed on this... I found it to be boring because of the production.....

Comment: Huge JMT fan, this album has better lyrics then AHOV but most of the beats just don't work for me. Besides a few catchy tracks I would say this is my least favorite JMT album. Even AHOV had more of a JMT feel despite the terrible lyrics.

Comment: Jedi does have a loyal fan base so I assume this will become a success depending on your definition of the term. However where is the growth of an artist, I hear the same subject content since day one mixed in with more contradictory rhymes from one track to the next. How many times can you make the same album. The production has that metallic sound that has been the standard over their last few releases that many seem to enjoy but it has never been my taste. Honestly, although many will disagree, 'violent by design' has been the only LP that I own and have liked from start to finish. Well if you still enjoy the same ole subject matter and predictable production of past releases than the jedi fans should be pleased with this one, whoever you may be.. enjoy!

Comment: jmt always been crazy religious visuals and violence. when you start crying about negative vibes you have been gotten to. they proved me wrong. vinnie and jus destroyed the album, the beats bang. layered sounds, nice cuts, everything is right. hopefully stoupe wants to be a part of the next one, but this album is a testament to the will of vinnie paz and jus allah. never understood the vinnie paz hate, guy works and works and works and puts all his people on, always puts out dope projects.

Comment: This album is a big letdown. Lyrics about Anton Lavey the satanism founder and hanging children. Then claiming to be on the path of Islam, right after declaring there love for weed and booze. Beats are good, production is stellar even without stoupe. Comment: Time to dissolve. If Stoupe isn't around anymore and with Jus Allah back ruining what's left then it's time to hang it up. "Season of the Assassin" was dope, a real strong solo album with more mature lyrical content. Vinnie proved there's life after JMT with that album. Jus Allah needs to stop faking the funk. Trying to act so hard that it becomes pathetic. Remember the time he woke up drunk in Louis Logic's appartment while Louis was giving him a spungebath and feeling him up? Right, that's just how hard Jus Allah is.

Comment: It's an ok album I'm just not really interested in their immature lyrics anymore. Jus Allah acting like a blood drinking character out of a Twilight movie is just getting old and so is Vinnie Paz with Christian hate songs. He should move to Afghanistan since he’s so down with hate I’m sure they will show him a lot of respect since they are his jihadist brothers ha. The best part of the album is “Weapon Of Unholy Wrath” since Shuko COPIES Stoupe’s style perfectly making a classic Jedi Mind Tricks song with a filthy beat.

Comment: I listened to the album on youtube, and I really feel sorry for those amazing beats. They absolutely went to waste. beats are all on point and incredible, but just horrible rhyming from both Vinnie Paz and Jus Allah. It is like they are just "complaining and whining". "I hate this or I'm going to do this, God and Allah, etcc." on most of the tracks, there is no flow with the beat, rhyme scheme is just horrid. The guests on the album make it worth listening to. I don't know how Vinnie and Jus think they are putting out quality music for their fans. Many people think because Stoupe is not in the group and the beats are going to be wack are wrong. I can see why Stoupe doesn't want anything to do with them, always rapping about the same shit, no flow or proper rhyme scheme. Jus Allah has stepped up a little with his rhymes, but still it changes on different beats, no consistency! Just my opinion, call me a hater or whatever, but I'm disappointed...

Comment: Great album; I love most of the songs. But this still doesnt feel like a real JMT album to me without the Stoupe productions.. and that's from a diehard jmt fan. much love

Comment: A lot of people on here are talking and don't even have the damn album. I got it today, just as I expected, the beats are fire and the samples are great too. Seems like Stoupe on quite a few of these beats even though he is gone. The lyrics are very good, Jus Allah comes real hungry on this album and Vinnie Paz brings the usual energy. My favorite tracks so far are "Design In Malice" "Willing A Destruction Onto Humanity" "Fuck Ya Life" and "Sacrilege Of Fatal Arms". The features are great as well, not overwhelming, and some hooks are impressive as well. Go buy this album and actually do a review rather than dissing them for no reason or just giving it 5 stars to shut up the non-believers. Vinnie and Jus did it without Stoupe and did not disappoint. Peace.

Comment: It's obvious that LA LA is a fag cause he is brutally offended by Vinnie's gay bashing and all he can talk about is dicks and dildos. This is the furthest thing from gay music a fag would kill himself if he listened to this so why don't you go suck Carmelo off some more LA LA. Great album track with Young Z and Pacewon is so sick.

C Lance is dropping some sick ass beats. The verses Jus and Vinnie drop on this are legendary. Best JMT since Legacy of Blood.

Comment: not bad,its better than a history of violence..but that isn't saying much,it was the weakest jmt album. The beats sound like cheap stoupe imitaions to me,the best tracks are 'fuck ya life' 'willing a destruction' 'bloodborn enemy' and 'design in malice'..it won't stand the test of time like other jmt albums though,i can still play legacy of blood, vbd or sihkih today..and they sound good.

Comment: I'm a little disappointed with Paz's performance on this one. It's almost as if hes trying too hard to rap hardcore. Some of the songs seem a little too revolutionary oriented and the lyrics seem watered down on these. Still a great album with some dope tracks. Oh and also I hear LA LA likes to take it up the ass while listening to that lil wayne ft. justin bieber song.

Comment: i still think a lazy stoupe, sending throwaways, is infinitely more talented than ANY other producer featured on the project. I think vinnie is sick of the backlash, maybe caught him off guard. last time I checked, servants was one of their best albums. that sound was incredible. still looking forward to hearing this in full. sounds like a gritty record.

Comment: I know my hip hop, let's just comment on THIS album, that's why we on this page right? For me, this is a new Vinnie Paz album... what's the diff between this and Assassin's Creed, All Vinnie... different producers minus Stoupe... and same wit this, I read somewhere Stoupe may have handed over production duties to the ones featured on here with the idea of those producers creating a similar vibe/sound to past JMT albums which is fair enough but not enough imput from Stoupe himself makes this for me, a Vinnie sophomore solo... and hearing the samples.... via Amazon, the results are... very impressive!!! I wish Stoupe at least had 2-3 beats here, that's enough for me to say it's a JMT project... that being said this IS primarily JMT as far as sound goes, just updated... give a fresh twist... recently AOTP artist releases have relied heavily on guitar/rock, simple loops, minimal boom bap sounds which doesn't do the whole crew justice.... that was then... NOW, with the stellar album of the year release from Apathy, a suprisingly excellent release from Outerspace, and now this, AOTP are gettin ready for another takeover... here's my wish... next AOTP album has these MC's exclusively, Vinnie, Reef, Ap, Eso Outerspace, Chief Kamach, King Mag, Celph Titled.. that's it!!! Beats should be (considering recent collabs between members and producers) handled by by Teddy Roxpin (refer to Ap's new album), Mr. Green (Design In Malice from this album) and DC the MIDI Alien (refer to the new Outerspace album). For me... ingredients for an undisputed CLASSIC!!! make it happen yooo!! Peace and Hip Hop...

I liked ill bill over necro beats, but I also like the new ill bill over new beats. as long as an album is dope and solid I will cop it. period

Comment: Huge JMT fan here, if you go to amazon you can here a sample of the entire album right now. I got to say it sounds better then A History Of Violence lyrically but theres something missing and it doesnt feel like a real JMT album. Even AHOV had more of a true jmt feel. I'll wait to review until I have heard the whole album but right now I am worried.

Comment: Dude everyone just calm down. A lot of you sound like some whiny, uneducated dumb-fuck test tube pigmy s, with no knowledge on how this group came up, and why Stoupe is essential as part of JMT. We all have our opinions on this matter, but we all should support JMT, whether Stoupe is involved or not. As I started this thread awhile ago, I was a bit upset after hearing Stoupe wouldn't be part of the album. Later I understood why he wasn't, and it made better sense. It has never been written in stone that Stoupe is not in the group anymore, but was not motivated at the time to make the album. Who knows maybe we will catch him on the next release? I don't know. I've already heard the album snippets on Amazon like many of you and thought the album was decent in my opinion. The production is the typical beats we've been hearing for the past 4-5 years now on JMT affiliated releases, but definitely nowhere near Stoupe's production. Just my two cents.

Comment: Stoupe was the sound of Jedi Mind Tricks, These new producers over compensate by producing loud, over compressed music that sounds horrible and flat. Stoupe's sampling abilities and production was more organic in a sense that it flowed and had dynamics. Plain and simple. This is going to sound like another AOTP record. Garbage production. Garbage concepts.

Comment: Aight, just listened to Target Practice. Production is decent, but one thing I can say for sure: Jus dropped his best verse in years and proved that he is still capable. However, just about every verse of his on Violent was better than that. He's just changed his tone and delivery too much. It's as if he is tryin' to growl like Vinnie but to Vin it's natural, Jus sounds forced. Even at the last show I saw of theirs (which was actually the only time I saw Jus live) I left sayin' that is not the Jus I know.

You should probably think before posting cause you sound like an incompetent, sloppy vagina. If Stoupe quits, JMT will continue to put out music, if Vinnie quits JMT is done forever. FACT. Also, Saying that Guru sucked ass when dude is dead and has nothing to do with this is also kinda fucked up. If you wanna suck Stoupe's dick then follow his shit. Look at that solo LP he did. Complete garbage. It's like Guru with Premo. With Premo Guru was a god. Without Premo Guru sucked complete ass. Did Led Zep continue after Bonham died? NO! Comment: What this all comes down to is taste and opinions. You either like this project or you dont. I have noticed on here that usually, (not always) regardless of who the artist is or album dropping there will be positive and negative things to say about it. Plain and simple. Stating that a rapper is not who they are or whatever without the dude behind the beats is ignorant and foolish. Vinnie's voice is JMT. All there is to it. Without him there is no JMT. Without Jus or Stoupe JMT will still continue. Stoupe is dope but Paz makes that dark kinda aggressive shit that his following has grown to love regardless of the beat. His solo shit was a bit different but thats how it should be. Artists should evolve and try other shit to not get bland and keep shit fresh. If Stoupe aint into the beats no more, I feel that this album will still have banging beats due to the fact that Paz has the resources to get the best production there is. HMK was dope and had no Stoupe beats on it. That dude C-Lance is a beast and his production is dope. As for Jus being on here, I can respect it but I def wont be buying this because this dude is on here. He cant stand next to Paz. Delivery wise and lyrically. To me putting Jus with Paz is like putting Tinkerbell in Pantera. Shit is mad weak. Go ahead and talk shit, thats just my two cents.

Comment: Stoupe IS JMT. Vinnie is only on when it's a Stoupe beat. If it's not Stoupe production Vinnie's mediocre at best. As for Jus, he was ridiculous on Violent but ever since every verse he drops is just a list of adjectives. Fill in the blanks and you can sound just like Jus: "I am ______ you are______ I am ________ I am __________ fuckin' ______ I am_______"

Comment: I agree with the other comments. Stoupe made some ill beats, and the album will undoubtedly sound shit without him. And jus allah is one of the wackest fucks in the game. That n*gga just plain lame and can't rap worth shit. Vinnie? He alright, but without stoupe production and with wack ass jus allah on this, its bound to suck. My 2 cents...

Comment: ALL THE NAYSAYERS, & IGNORANT BASTARDS - SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY, & JUST READ THIS, THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP AGAIN! TY. VINNIE PAZ SPEAKS ON NEW JEDI MIND TRICKS ALBUM: Our new album “Violence Begets Violence” drops October 25th. Some of you have heard by now that this is the first Jedi Mind Tricks album we’ve made without Stoupe handling the production. Bottom line is at some point after making our last album, “A History of Violence,” Stoupe lost his passion for making hip-hop and wanted to try new things. Through our career, we’ve always waited on him to get inspired to make a new album, but this time around we got tired of waiting out his creative drought. He tried to produce some things for this new album, but we could tell early on that his heart wasn’t in making JMT records anymore. He’s moved on as a producer to work in other genres with his sideprojects, Dutch and Vespertina, and we’ve moved on with a new crop of talented producers to make the hardcore hip-hop we’ve always been known for.

Comment: No Stoupe? Damn, he's the best producer in hip hop and a JMT album without him is not the same thing. BTW Jus Allah is the shitest, worst rapper ever. This n*gga rhymes just sound ridiculous it's all the same things, Allah this, Allah that and smoke blunts bla bla bla. I hope that this dumb fuck n*gga don't fuck the album.

Comment: i'm also a little worried that stoupe isn't a part of this, but vinnie always comes through for his fans. I just hope we get the vintage jus allah and not the one that was on history of violence. I hope dj kwestion plays a big part on this album too.

Comment: no stoupe? that's bullshit. his throwaway shit is better than c-lance on his best day. c-lance beats are ok but they don't have the mood, atmosphere, complexity, or musicality of stoupe's productions. I wanna know why a jedi mind tricks album is dropping with no stoupe involvement. no mention why either. almost like it's a cash grab. this is like mcdonalds dropping the big mac from the menu with no explanation. fucking baffling. long time jedi mind tricks fan. very disappointing news to say the least. you could always count on stoupe bangers. vinnie and jus better be spitting the rhymes of their life on this record.

Comment: jmt brought a new sound into the underground hiphop scene. ok vinnie is ill mc, but actually I didnt like so much Seasons of the Assassins. cuz of the some wack beats.. and I think, on this new shit, I will see the same thing again. ps: I prefer to see Reef in jmt instead of Jus Allah

Comment: Garbage. I hate C-lance beats. All these "new wave" producers do is over-compress their beats till the point it sounds squashed and unbearable to listen to. Not organic sounding as Stoupe's shit. Stoupe had a perfect production style that made his music sound more "open" and he had more going for the actual music. Could you imagine a Gangstarr album with out DJ Premier??? Fuck no. I want no part of it.

Comment: Not to say that the album will be garbage without hearing it yet, but I hope it lives up to its hype. I remember Cypress Hill did the same stunt on their last album "Rise Up". Dj Muggs produced like two tracks, with co-production with Dj Khalil..*SMH
