Comment: Reading all of the negative reviews of this album confirms why hip hop sucks right now. It's full of baggy pant wearing cats who are clinging onto an era of music that was amazing and ground breaking... 20 years ago. Societies progress and evolve for better or worse- ya'll need to expand and realize that music is art that shouldn't be fit into neat little boxes of expectation.

Comment: Wackness- and in Auto-Tune! Hah, too bad Kanye's lyrics sound forced & fake, as if he doesn't seem to understand what he's talking about, or he's phoning it in. Guests apperances try to work, but sometimes don't. At least some of the beats are good, mixing some jazzy feel with some electronica. Too bad most of 'em sound wack- like this shit. Kanye has fallen off in years & here, it shows.

I notic that alot of undergorunders seem 2 hate on Kanye. Why? Well it iz true that Underground iz better than mainstream, but whut tha hell! Even az sumwun part of the underground community, u hav 2 giv credit 2 thoz who deserve it. And plus, if u cant appreciate sumthin like thiz, u probably wont like The Miseducation of Lauren Hill. Pleez undergrounders, WISEN UP!! Recognize whutz good in music, even wen itz frum a section that u dont like.

Comment: This album is semi-decent. On a personal level, I'm not a big fan of Kanye. Comparing this album to his other releases, it's his worst. If ya'll wanna hear some tight shit, kop Rashid Hadees "808's & Hadee" album. THAT shit is 5 star material. 808's & Heartbreak got a few spins from me, then that's about it.

Comment: not usually a big mainstream rap fan but this album really spoke out to me, I think its for all the depressed lonely souls out there. even though auto-tune has definitely overstayed its welcome, this album manages to make it listenable, people are either going to hate this album or love it, it one of those and depends on what your taste of music is.

Comment: Why is it that every person who gave this 1 star made a reference to Kanye's sexuality? He tried something different. It's not as good as his earlier stuff. How does that make him gay? I fail to see the logic there.

Comment: like good music often is, these songs are melodic. this is not a "hip-hop" record in the traditional sense. only two songs feature raps by guests jeezy and lil wayne. overall the lyrics are personal not political. the general mood of the record is brooding and introspective. anyone expecting rap would be disappointed by this album. I like this record very much and recommend it to people who like "synth goth pop" type music.

Comment: I think that he's turned onto a sell out! the money has polluted his brain, the first time I listened to 808s and heartbreaks I kept skipping waiting for there to be a good track, not even a great track just something I can tolerate, but its just not original, because the voice effect is a tpain thing, and the lyrics have no soul in em, I guess when these artist start they are genuine, but the money turns them into robots, so the voice effect goes with him.. don't buy this cd... I hope he takes this as constructive critisism.. where's the soul in the music anymore... Kanye once gave us a breath of fresh air, but now its just bllllahhhhhh... wtf disappointment, maybe he should focus on fashion... cuz the music thing isn't for him right now...

Comment: Yo I feel most of y'all up here saying that Kanye's 808's & heartbreaks isn't real hip-hop and that this album really let n*ggas down, but listening to hip-hop nowadays u gotta open up to new shit. I didn't like the pop and vocoder (voice box/T-Pain) sound but this album is so different I had to listen. And I respect Ye's approach on this joint. Some tracks were wack but the ones that sounded good was really good music. That's why hip-hop is what it is today because n*ggas keep shit different. East coast hip hop is different from west coast hip hop and that dirty south shit is different than that Chicago/Detroit sound but no matter where you're from u gonna like music from all of these places. From Pac...Common...Ludacris...to Nas. So I respect ya'll opinions my people and I grew up in the golden era and on that backpack shit too but it's time we open up to new shit. That's my 2 cents -Black History.

Comment: The 1 star is only because he had the balls to come up with this trash and actually put it out. That voice alternator was used properly only by Roger Troutman. It's bad enough that T Pain is using this technique because, he can't sing to save his life and now Kanye West.He needs to go stand in a corner somewhere until he understands what he's done is wrong.

Comment: WORST KANYE ALBUM! I'm not the typical Kanye album, I actually liked his first 3 albums and I think that he's one of the greatest rap producers of this generation, but this album is a steaming pile of cougar shit. Bad singing? check. Autotune? check. Crying like a bitch? check. Electronic type beats? check. Kanye lost me on this one, and I own his previous 3 albums, but I couldn't buy this piece of shit. Comment: Wut the hell is this crap??? This is not hip hop in the least. As bad as any jeezy or weezy album is at least some part of their album can be identified as hip hop/pop. This shouldn't even be on this website. This is some techno/pop hybrid garbage. Kanye you are an embarassment to the game. Get your act together. Cause unlike most of these commerical artists nowadays you actually have talent.

Comment: This albums sounds like if Sting, T-Pain, and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails formed a super group. I'd rather step in a bear trap then listen to this cd. Lay off the vocoder Kanye, you sound like a douche; the album sounds like it was made in the matrix. Who remembers the good ole days when Kanye actually made Hip Hop music?

Comment: Please don't give me that open mined shit.. I like Johnny Cash to Clipse to Cannible Corpse to Misfits to Beatles to yo momma. And I liked Kayne West's first three albums, and his production with Jigga, Common, and countless others. And besides a few good copied ideas, for a man that has so much potential and originallity,, this CD more than falls short. It's fucking horrible. He should have never graduated!

Comment: I was skeptical of this album at first but the more you listen to it the better it gets. Definitely not a bad cd at all. I've been listening to it non stop since I got it. It's not as much of a "rap" cd as in the past but it's so good if you are open minded.

Comment: This is the same shit groups like Dirty Vegas have been doing. Kanye ain't no innovator. He just crossed over to another genre. Jacked Tim's drum programing, and exposed T-Pain's gimmick. Final verdict is... I could get into this album on a good day. It's not exactly what I would want from Kanye. I would expect something more from the dude who made College Dropout. I have just one question. Is this considered hip hop? 3 Stars for electronic album 0 stars for hip hop album.

Comment: You all are straight hating! This is Kanye's best album by far. Hip hop is in serious trouble, and a fresh album like this comes out and people wanna talk $#!% like they're actually contributing to breathe life in the game. The approach he took to this album was awesome. if you don't agree, I just wonder what are you doing to help our artform?? I mean other than sit behind a computer and complain.

Comment: I'll be honest, I like Kanye's first and second albums best. Like jimy said, he's lost his damn mind. I hate the new single. Sorry but it's true. Just when I feel like we're heading into the right direction, someone has to mess it up.
