Comment: 5 stars for being WACK really does count and is way different from 5 stars for being Dope and Amazing. it only means I applaud him for making the wrong decission and realizing it was ment to be for him to be WACK and one less wack emcee to worry about. theres a big difference between a crowd that knows Real Hip Hop and an out side crowd that barely knows a damn thing about Real Hip Hop and geting their approval from the outside crowd. the real Hip Hop Crowd really counts. he probably couldnt take criticism from real Hip Hop Heads who were down with the culture since day one 1973. dont get me wrong but there maybe some real heads that might not be too critical and give something different a chance because its not a big deal, but it all comes down to Real recognize Real. and Kendrick is not a Real Hip Hop Legend and will never amount to a Hip Hop Legend out of controversy and thats just a wack ass gimmick to get attention.

Comment: im still giving kendrick 5 stars for being wack for the fact that hes catering to the wrong people and interms of corporate mainstream music industry listeners. the underdogs of the music industry are the ones who work hard and that is typical of the independent and underground and most likely the artist owns their own label and not a BIG HEADED CEO and most likely the independent underground owner/artist is responsible for running every facet of what it takes to run a independent label first hand. so hard work to put out a product and compete with corporate labels should be praised for their dedication and efforts for how they want to run a label independently with out a corporate board meeting and corporate decissions. its a david and goliath situation corporate mainstream vs small business independent underground. if people who listened to independent underground music more often they would wake up to the truth out of the box of the matrix and into reality...actual reality and not the catchy mind control of corporate america like addictive harmful substances in cigarettes. corporate america wants you to be addicted to their product even if it means being unhealthy and not knowing whats good for you. if kendrick had to sell out to interscope just to get love from people who dont know any better. and I believe the Mecca of Hip Hop is in the Eastcoast New York City with the father of Hip Hop Kool Herc and the godfather Afrika Bambaataa Zuluuuuuuuuuu Nation. I do acknowledge kendrick as a typical rapper from the west just like spice one or emcee eight or mc ren. if it wasnt for the young generation's judgement (18 and only less than 5 years experience with coprporate radio music) to accept kendrick even if they didnt know any better of the industry. the reason why Underground Hip Hop heads with 25-30 years experience dont accept kendrick is because even though he was independent at one point and relied on internet down load, he did not cater to the actual circle of community of the underground independent Hip Hop like Fat Beats or SandBox Automatic and of course UGHH and all the independent record shops that support vinyl and the independent underground Hip Hop vinyl community during the late 90's and to the early to mid 2000s. thats why you only see his first debut album in 2013 on UGHH a decade too late and some say kendrick was in circulation in the independent scene that only a person can download a mixtapes since 2005 but not on vinyl (sorry dont like the sound of "mixtape" these days if it aint from a cassette tape). he really did get recognition but by those who were tech savy to download to a smartphone and keep in mind serato didnt blow up until 2004 and diehard vinyl record DJ enthusiasts were still skeptical of mp3s at that time. his musicality verbaly is not your ordinary underground Hip Hop Golden Era lyrisist Emcee. if you can distinguish the difference Between a emcee and a rapper then I trust your opinion and judgement if you have experience of 30 years of knowing both styles of expressing. I prefer the Emcee like KRS ONE Q TIP FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP HIERO and so forth... so for me I always thought the east coast west coast beef was a bunch of bull shit. the Zulu nation has chapters in the West Coast so Real Hip Hop in the United States does not matter what region your from but its where your mind is at. Knowledge Reigns Supreme!!! and id rather dig for 45 funk gems... and if you dont know any better then I feel sorry for you if you let corporate power control your mind and get the best of you with out you knowing. ANNND IMMM OUUUT!!!

Comment: if you are a true Hip Hop head in your 30s or 40s or maybe 50s youve spent enough time to recognize maybe 30-40 years in listening to Real Hip Hop to make valid judgement. there are more bandwagoners these days who are way much more younger and will give their opinion because everyone around them who are also bandwagoners who really havent spent the time( 25-30 years) to realize true Hip Hop say its good music. if I said this was good music TODAY OR TOMMOROW it would NOT be because of blogs or itunes or social network media community or xm radio or BET and 106 and Park or MTV or VHI or because of what other bandwagoners are doing or so called hip hop magazines are saying. Golden Era Real Hip Hop and not really the obvious ones that are classics but the obscure classics have set my preferences in its parameters. and gives me valid references because I never missed a beat on every Hip Hop Video and I mean every Hip Hop video on early Rap City (in1989) when they competed with Yo! MTV Raps (more perfered) until 95 then after that it was the Wake Up Show on the Radio and then the Underground Hip Hop on College Radio stations and nothing else since then. and into the millenium I began to dissect even more of the makings of Hip Hop Music and paid more attention to past funk jazz and soul of the 60s and 70s which are responsible for the make of the Golden Era Hip Hop (88-93 94 95) which gave me a more appreciation for the existence of Golden Era Real Hip Hop and it didnt have to be in the Hip Hop top 10 charts every week in the early 90's. this may sound like a contradiction but shit was more REAL back then before the internet and not overly done like trap music. even by now trap music is already old within a year(2012-13). and rappers sound like R&B singers(too soft and not edgy) and less story tellers like Rick the Ruler Himself...AND IMMM OUUUT iii and this is the reason why I buy what I want to buy and listen to what I want to listen to and this backs up almost 30 years of listening to Hip Hop.

Comment: All you haters. You hate on Drake because you think he can't flow (his style is different than most and I like it). Now you hate on Kendrick because you think he's a sell out and yet Kendrick can actually flow lyrically all live. You guys are the worst haters and posers I have ever witnessed. I'm tired of all the mainstream vs. underground nonsense. Its BS! Good music is good music. Have your opinions. But Everything Kendrick puts out i'm backing. You rap nerds! Lol

Comment: STFU and Look, I'm sick and tired of yall critisizing Kendrick. The man has single-handedly changed the rap game. I know EVERYTHING there is to know about Kendrick. He is the best rapper out there, and if you don't think so, well you don't know music and you don't even listen to all of Kendrick's songs. Some of the songs may be a little nasty but that isn't all he raps about. He sings about violence because he had so much of it in his life! I mean he DID see his mother beaten. and he sings about drugs sometimes because he dealed crack at a young age. he lost a lot of loved ones at a very young age too. he didn't start dealing drugs until that happened. Maybe you all should give his music a chance- by one of his cds. One day, I will meet Kendrick and tell him all about what I think. Kendrick is the best!

Comment: THE FIVE STARS STILL REMAINS....my MISTAKE ON PURPOSE... 5 STARS FOR HIM BEING THE WACKEST RAPPER EVER......LOL. two other comments that I made were deleted, like I said kendricks father was pumpin some Big Daddy Kane in the car while his mother was in labor, now let me correct that, his father wanted him to hear what real rap music was (he was already born) and he was in his car seat and his mother told his father to turn it down. like I said watch nardwuar vs kendrick on youtube.

Comment: you fail to realize.. who cares ? your being a a fucking lame. talking about corporations and labels. what I waste of time. Even if kendrick sells out, which isn't going to happen. he still puts out good music. if you dont listen to any music just for the fact that it's mainstream than your just a poser who's lost touch with how Hip Hop culture is today. your going to bring up Bone thugs, give it a fucking rest. it's not like other people wont develop their own take on the double time flows. yeah cause a Canadian kid is from the bush administration. shut your filthy mouth you backwards American trash. theres plenty of cats from the united states who know good music when they HEAR IT. but nah all UGHH bloggers has are some pissed of little rap nerds who get mad at how Hip Hop is instead of how its going. your 3 paragraphs have stated nothing. like how are you going to hate on people like Big K.R.I.T. and action Bronson. those guys will have mainstream recognition. right now i'm speaking to all the youngins who are very impressionable and who thinks it's cool to ride the underground music's dick and be small minded about everything else. all say it once more there is some dope ass fucking raw Hip Hop in the mainstream if you look hard enough for it just like there is in the underground. stop being pussies about music. this is whats killing Hip Hop you lames

Comment: Sean Daley aka slug who just so happens to be one of the founders of Rhymesayers Entertainment might just as well have been one of the people responsible for the being of the Soundset Festival from Mn and kendrick was invited to show case for 2012 so he was honored to do so and he did all because of his "pop"ular demand. and as of flow goes, kendrick isnt as versatile with various styles and if he begins to dabble in the golden era, I might just as well be impressed. but if u never knew of the beef between bone thugs and P.E.A.C.E. (of the Freestyle Fellowship/Project Blowed) then what makes you think your a fan of that thugish rugish flow of who really is responsible for owning that style just because it was discovered by Eric Wright from Compton Los Angeles. like yeeaah man im a nerd, a true student of the school of Hard Knocks... true skool from the culture of Hip Hop. im not your ordinary, right now if your a fan of kendrick... good for u, but everyone who mentions him and mentions other associates of him because they are fans are very obvious and are typical and predictable because its all trivial cookie cut shit and simple minded shit who dont mind being spoon fed instead of diggin for gems I mean diggin hard for gem worth the attention. he probably doesnt know the idea of getting his fingers dusty. maybe this will encourage him to dig for gems and flip samples and become detached until being detached becomes a style everyone will want to copy cus originality stands alone and imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Comment: this kid from Ottawa Canada sounds like hes a product of the Bush administration and is a fan of Rap Music a product of were I ask... yes I know, were else. Kendrick is probably a product of Reaganomics and who cares right? thats so very typical of the reluctantly young to be a "rebel without a cause". heres one for you that you will not reference if you havent done your homework "Industry Rule #4080 record companies are Shaaaaaaaady....." and if you dont know the rest and where that quote is from then what makes you think you know where Hip Hop is going. Why be a fan of American Rap music with the Illuminati's agenda. you probably should already notice that from over there. Most corporations are funded by banks and who owns these banks? and who controls Hollywood and who infiltrated the music industry? of course the elite. and you think kendrick would go on without any problems by being original. they will infiltrate his lyrics and carry on with their agenda hidden in plain sight. He would probably go for the doe and you know thats temporary right? if he begins to "change" because he is with it or not with it you wont hear from him for a long while when he begins to realize what he has gotten himself into. Enjoy the beginning of his career which will be the best but the more "Suck"cessfull he becomes and of course he might think of makin it rain but thats all play money to them. if he goes any farther in this industry you might find him becoming a martyr just like pac and biggie if he does not comply . why be concerned with artist who want to make it big in the industry, and you say its good music, your just playing ur self without not knowing what happens next, wheres the progression in that? He should have just remained independent and carried on with music.

Comment: dude from cali like bro you went on this big rant about the "corporations" and all this.. who cares ? Kendrick talks about his relationship between his family and how gangs influenced some of their decisions. he never once claims he's from any set. he puts put out positive music. Some of it happens to be mainstream production. But the man put out an album for FREE on the Internet called section 80 which means non profit. yall claim to be Hip Hop heads but dont listen to the lyrics ? like get off my dick, someone sayin fuck ottawa. someone sayin you need b-boys and graf in the video to be Hip Hop. like when was that the case about 30 years ago ? wake up Hip Hop evolves. Theres plenty of music thats garbage from the underground and vice versa from the mainstream. believe me it's not cool to just be a hater and use terms like "underground" or "mainstream". how about J cole are you going to say he's wack. another person who puts out positive music. what about some faggot like Necro ? nope. all cartoon violence and no substance. LISTEN HERE... Hip Hop will not survive the next 30 years if people are going to hate on some artist like kendrick. most of you prolly only heard a song like swiming pools and instanstly wrote kendrick off. yall prolly think he was advocating drinking. which was actually here nor there. watch your golden era bullshit never be replicated ever agian as time goes on. and kids 50 years from now wont even know big daddy kane or kool G rap. do I bump that music ? hell yeah but things have to change. guy's like Wu tang sound was innovative and pushed the boundaries for Hip Hop. but if y'all gonna hate on good positive artists then innovation wont happen. cause I dont know about everyone else on here but I want Hip hop to keep changing and not stay stuck in the past. I wanna see where it will go and how it will progress. kendrick has better flow than most of yall favorite rappers. like yeaaah man slug from atmosphere.. STFU pussy's Kendrick song's 1. ignorance is Bliss 2. Sing about me 3. Keisha's song 5. Look out for detox

Comment: i listen to... no I PAY ATTENTION TO UNDERGROUND HIP HOP THAT HAS THAT GOLDEN ERA SOUND!!! any random rapper can be labeled underground and can be independent... but if they'r not inspired by the rappers and producers of the EARLY 90'S LEGENDARY GOLDEN ERA I can tell that they havent done their homework. The "suck"cess of sellin records and going platinum dont matter to me, its all about the music and preserving the culture thats important. all that trendy shit that sheeps listen to just because its popular and labeled suckcessful have that typical sound in production and that typical rap that spits that sterotypical ghetto raps and plays it well literally stupid and unintelligent raps. I can tell if raps are stupid on purpose and still have that golden era style but if its dumb down radio rapps... popin molly raps...mainstream bullshit... or if its associated to the mainstream todays raps going platinum for dumbing down the kids and tellin the kids its the best raps ever... this is true ignorance of what the raps have become. you gotta know were to look to find GOLDEN ERA BBOY QUALITY OVER QUANTITY REAL HIP HOP RAP MUSIC!!!

Comment: if ur a true die hard fan of any artist u should know the DNA making of the production how and what tools it takes to make the goods. u should also know the politics of the industry in its time and what circumstances and conditions of the times it was in in order to get to the consumer. u should also find out who's who that inspires the artist to do what they do. the older the better, that only says they are grounded by historical facts. most fans dont go that far to understand what linage of the artist come from to be who they are now. most mainstream fans have this sort of tunnel vision limited to just the mainstream spoon fed by just the obvious and usually dont have any idea to dig for great music meant to be hidden only a few know about its existence. there are many artists that create the range and depth of the particular music. dont be surprised if ur favorite artists listens to music outside of the box from the type of music they make. if ur interests only focuses only on one artist and you put them on a pedestal because u were a victim of the hype... then u are a victim of ur own ignorance by default because u neglect the fact that there are other great artists who make good music, but we all are bias somehow. I could easily sleep on kendrick just because the fact that someone is tryin to shove it down ur ears and knowing that the new new these days depend on hype even if its mediocre shit. if u have a full range of all types of music to make references from then ur capable of thinking out of the box. the mainstream wants you to be in the box while not knowing theres a whole world out side or in the underground, if ur a mainstream fiend u r easily labeled as someone who is typical of being typical an predictable by whatever you choose when asked to choose. you are easily manipulated to believe what the authority (big corporate labels) wants u to believe. the mainstream is usually consumer friendly and is sheep music. they want you to think you are different and special while mass producing that style where everybody looks walks and talks the same.
