    Product Details

KRS-One and True Master, both legends in their own right, have come together for the first time on their joint album Meta-Historical. KRS-One, for anyone who has been paying attention to hip hop for the past two decades, is one of the most respected emcees of all time. Whether you are talking about KRS-One's classic Boogie Down Productions releases, such as Criminal Minded, or his recent album with Marley Marl, KRS-One has kept his fans wanting more. True Master, along with the RZA, is responsible for creating the soundscape that has come to be associated with the Wu-Tang Clan. True Master has production credits on such certified Platinum and Gold classics like Wu-Tang Clan's "Wu-Tang Forever", Ol Dirty Bastard's "Return to the 36 Chambers", Ghostface Killah's "Iron Man", Ol Dirty Bastard's "N***a Please", Method Man's "Tical 2000" and Cappadonna's "The Pillage" to name just a small cross section of his work. KRS-One and True Master via Meta-Historical bring the listener on a voyage through hip hop history and comment on the current state of hip hop. True Master's production conjures up sonically what KRS-One effortlessly rhymes about. KRS-One and Wu-Tang fans will not be disappointed.

Comment: @ takini: we don not talk about wu-tang, we talk about krs one & true master! honestly speaking, this is ways better than any of the wu records of the last 15 years, no doubt! I don't even draw a parallel to any recent wu-tang production! I dare say that Wu hasn't been relevant since 1995! That's it OBFCLX was nothing special either... Anyway I think this album deserves the utmost praise. If you think differently, that's ok, but make your point acceptable and don't be just a ordinary hater... Peace!

Very understated in it's potency, however 1nce dealt with extremely overstated in it's pure dopeness Forgot to mention, LISTEN TO KRS on this shit, tha man is speaking pure truth.

Comment: I'm glad to see alot of positive reviews for this album. KRS One deserves it. The beats are dope and KRS sounds fresh and crisp kicking that knowledge that everybody got to respect! Glad to see J-Aura and Megan Foxx give this album a positive review. Y'all know your music but I did get an a little argument with Megan Foxx about that War Report 2 that I'm still bumping. Anyways respect to the God KRS One. Well worth the mula!

Comment: This is definitely one of the trillest albums he's come out with a while, I think personally. That track "Murda Ya" got that classic BDP sound, and the track "Knowledge Reigns Supreme" has got the best bump to it. Straight up... perfectly titled and deserved every letter of it! And by the way... dope concept on "He's Us" a.k.a. lost pronunciation of "Jesus"... I like. All the rogue scholars recognize it! Congrats to ya KRS-One.

Comment: KRS is on top again... The first song is ridiculous Murda Ya with some ragga krs flow, hot beat, Gimmie da 90's is another illest song, here krs uses words that mark hip hop's history, Palm and Fist great lyrical exercise about a "punch and a help grab", if you know what I mean, Old School Hip Hop where he drop knowlege and teach leasons, Meta-Historical where I just talk about history and Street Rhymer is a punchL. KRS comes with some raw lyrics with a lot of knowledge and True Master got Beats. A must have. WORD

Comment: OMG! Are you serious? I expected this to be a good album but, not this good. I love the gritty, grimey, classic wu style production from True Master.KRS-One delivered raw lyrics straight through the whole album. On Street Rhymer, Cappadonna sounds like he did on The Pillage. RZA even sounded like his old self. This album just feels good all the way around. And I know this is off the subject but, I wonder if The Wu-Tang Clan is sitting down and writing lyrics to the beats on this album. Hmmmmmm...

Comment: KRS is back finally. This still isn't his best effort ever or anything but much better than anything he's put out on his own in a long ass time. There are a few throwaway tracks, imo. These are the good tracks to me: Murder ya unified field Gimmie Da 90's One of Them Days Here's What We Gonna Do Meta Historical Street Rhymer He's Us The other songs aren't my thing beat wise or lyrically, so I can't give it a five. It's a solid 3.75 album.

Comment: KRS-One will always be that dude... I love the themes of his lyrics, but the beats and production sometimes come up kinda stale. The Hip-Hop Lives album with Marley Marl was good, the Survival Skills album with Buckshot was a little worse though... But I still look forward to checkin this new one out... By the way, has anybody copped that book of his, "The Gospel of Hip-Hop"? I got my hands on an autographed copy when KRS came to speak in L.A. last month... The man is spittin some truth in the book, real talk...

Comment: The problem is that I diss the artist if I think they are putting up bricks like Anthony Mason shooting a free throw. KRS has been overall wack to me for the last 15 years. He had a GREAT 7 years from 86-93. Since then: eh.......But I will fight back if punched in the mouth by you punk azz bloggers. I do not come here dissing anyone's opinion, but instead I diss the artist. So you folks I am talking about need to get it str8. DON'T START NONE, WON'T BE NONE! TheBALL basically says the same things that I do but because I rep Sweden you think I am some sort of mark azz nicca. NOT!!!! I know what I am talking about son!

Comment: Man have I been waiting for HipHop to phukkin cum in my face... this may be it. This shit is absolutely going to be pure flames of Old School burn. True Master... my hat is off... KRIS, I humbly bow. The Buckshot KRS thing needed better production... YES... the phuk... it DID!!! I was a fan of Buckshot's ill chant over Evil Dee madness. After Beatminerz broke camp, $hit changed... enough on that though... this HAS to be what I expect. The ONLY and I repeat ONLY way to phuk this up is to completely phuk this up. This ball cannot dropped and should be handled like big ass Anthony Mason did at PF... huh... STFU. Okay.

Comment: all ive been hearing about is a KRS album Produced Entirely by Premier .. This wont be on the level of a primo album but I hope KRS understands that while he can get dope beats , he needs to go back into the archives and find that lyrical prowess he once possessed .. this is gona bang though no doubt
