    Summary

Spanish Harlem resident Kurious debuted in '91 on Powerule's "Young Stars From Nowhere" before signing with Pete Nice (3rd Bass) and Bobbito (WKCR's Strech & Bobbito Show) under Columbia where they released his debut album "A Constipated Monkey" featuring production by The Beatnuts, 3rd Bass & The SD50's. Bobbito would frequently feature Kurious on WKCR until he became a member of the Bobbito & Lord Sear CM Famalam show. Since the late 90's Kurious has featured on a bevy of underground projects from MF DOOM, Del The Funky Homosapien, KMD, MF Grimm & more. June 30th, 2009 will be the release of the long awaited official sophomore album from this underground NYC legend. "II" features appearances from fellow underground heroes MF DOOM, Max B and a special reunion with the legendary MC Serch. The album also features boom bap production from VIC and Platinum selling producer Dame Grease.

Comment: Kurious should have stayed retired, Im glad I didn't buy this bullshit. Beats are wack, lyrics are wack, if I wanted some to hear some mainstream shit I would listen to the radio. The first album straight classic, this one is not even one star worthy, Kurious you should have come correct, you get the gas face yo. You took to long to put out a second album, your a day late and a dollar short.

Comment: I love A Constipated Monkey and have been looking forward to some new Kurious material for years. This is not what I wanted, about 3 tracks are good and the rest is just boring and tired garbage aimed at the mainstream, what happened to the Beatnuts?. Kurious can still flow he just needs better beats and to not worry about the mighty dollar.

Comment: gotta say, I was happily surprised with this...usually cats with that old school style from the 80's embedded in their flow don't get my head nodding. but kurious has really evolved while staying true to his original style. I really like this album from what I hear on here. people sayin' the beats are wack? omg they are dope as f***

Comment: I am a big Kurious fan. His First album is one of my favs of all time. Was lookin forward to this album. I tried to like it, I really did but honestly its pretty wack. I hate to say it but I have to be honest. He used to seem so real, now he's on the same sh*t everyone else is on for the most part, money and songs about the clubs. When he's not talkin about those subjects, he's rhymin on beats that are sub par at best. The song with max b is a blatent 50 cent rip off which is the last sound I wanna hear from Kurious. One of the songs about the club is a carbon copy of dooms flow. The joint with serch is ok I guess but why settle? I think some songs like benetton sound ok when compared to the rest of the bad production but there is not one song on this album I would listen to a second time if it was on constipated monkey next to the songs on that album. I'm still a fan, just not of this album.

Comment: After all the hype of a Kurious-Beatnuts reunion on this album, Amalgam Digital dropped the only Beatnuts-produced track, "Rubberbandz." It was track seven between "Animals And Horses" and "Benetton."
