SummaryMcKenzie Eddy is a double agent: Business woman by day, artist by night, she is a co-founder of the media collective DD172 and President of Damon Dash's Bluroc Records.
Originally from South Carolina, McKenzie moved to NYC four years ago and has since had her hand in the distribution and marketing of projects such as Jim Jones' Pray IV Reign, 2009's Blakroc, Curren$y's Pilot Talk I and II, Ski Beatz's 24 Hour Karate School 1, 2, and Twilight and many more.
She collaborated with New Orleans Rapper Curren$y and folk artist Sean O'Connell on a project called Muscle Car Chronicles, also releasing a series of webisodes under the same name which gained her instant cult credibility. She wrote and was featured on Ski Beatz produced track "Silence" from 2010' Pilot Talk 2.
She's released 3 free albums, all of which were favorably reviewed by hip hop bloggers and indie websites alike. She was also recently featured on Ski Beatz' free EP "Blu Tops", starring herself, Cam'Ron, and Vado, which has over 20,000 plays and 6,000 downloads.
She's released 15 music videos in the past year, and also went on a 60 City US tour titled "The Hip Hop and Love Tour" with Murs, Ski Beatz, Sean O'Connell and Dash at the end of 2011. Outside of hip hop, she's also continuously collaborated with Philladelphia's extremely successful Jam Band "The Disco Biscuits," and has performed with them in Philadelphia's TLA, NYC'S Best Buy Theater, and at their festival Camp Bisco.
