    Product Details

2014 is the 20th anniversary of Tical, the debut solo album of Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man, released November 15, 1994, on Def Jam Records. It was the first Wu-Tang solo album released after the group's debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Similar to all first generation solo Wu-Tang projects, Tical was mainly produced by group member RZA. The album features guest appearances from several Wu-Tang members including RZA, Raekwon, & Inspectah Deck. The album was a commercial success, reaching number four on the Billboard 200, and number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. On July 13, 1995, it was certified platinum. This success was driven by its two singles, ''Bring the Pain'' and ''I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By''. Tical has since been hailed by several music critics as a hip hop classic and its success is matched by its influence as a major piece in the East coast hip hop renaissance.

Comment: I always thought this album was a little bit overrated compared to the other Wu-tang solos. It still has some bangas but not worth money, but big up to the Wu-Tang legacy. I can't wait for WU- KAIM!

Comment: Respect The Classics needs to respect the fans and lower the price on the single LP re-issues. At least do it proper and put it on 2LP if you're going to charge 2x as much as it's worth.

Comment: Yeah sure this is CLASSIC sh*t, a dope ass album and all, but WTF?!? 30 bucks for a 20 year old album? Sure, it's probably one the best Wu solo albums out there, but still, to expensive IMHO.

Comment: Does anyone remember those K-9 incisors grillz each of the official Wu members had. This was before plain old grillz blew up within the past decade and a half in the dirty south and Master P and Lil Wayne and so forth and all the ghetto peeps made it a fashionable trend made it as stereotypically corny and played out as F#$K as a "ghetto" celeb. "Protect ya neck" brought it to my attention and when they stop wearin those vampire like incisors, that raw image when they were first hungry made them legit regardless of the mainstream popularity. It became corny when other rappers bit like a secondary motion of movement of copy cats that didn't know the meaning of the word "originate" and others followed to bite others as others bite others as well but without the incisors and as dull as F#$K. That's how wack the industry is above the underground just for the "status" of "popularity" "without-being" "distinguished" as a "creative" "individual" "originating" "artist".
