Summary

Let The Right Ones In explores new sonic territory, as the duo weave their diverse musical talents to create an all original, sample-free work that blurs the lines between hip-hop, indie-rock and electronic music. Showcasing an impressive list of eclectic collaborators, the album features guest musicians Reks, John Robinson, Julia Easterlin, Dua Boakye of Bad Rabbits, Boycott Blues, Blacastan, Casso, Tea Leigh, Ceschi, Tan Vampires and Lady Lamb the Bee Keeper. Pope's newest release promises to be his best yet, a wholly original culmination of a lifetime of experiences and influences.

Named "Best Hip-Hop Artist of the Year" at the recent Boston Music Awards, Moe Pope and Rain are rising to the top of the indie hip-hop scene, landing performance spots at Converse's Rubber Tracks recording studio as well as showcasing at this years' Converse's SxSW show.

In the live performance setting Moe Pope performs under the moniker Moe Pope & Quills, with regular members Rain on the Turntables, MPC and live drums; Christopher Talken on Mic #2, Michael McCarthy (of Wobblesauce) on Keys, and Liam Buell on Violin.

Let The Right Ones In will be available January 22nd, 2013 in select retail outlets worldwide. The Uber-Exclusive LP pressing will be issued on a unique 2 tone colored record - split transparent vinyl and opaque blood red, keeping in time with the dark and gothic nature of the album's sonic landscape, mood and esthetic.

A CD version will also be available in a limited edition package that sports a clear/transparent plastic printed O-Card housing a stunning 12-panel wallet which folds out to reveal an inverted cross displaying the albums credits and stunning photography. A separate insert is included that supplies the full lyrics sheets to the album and additional photography.

Comment: Let The Right Ones In is a living, breathing work of art - the perfect record, channeled deep from the souls of two incredible musicians at insane peaks of their creative careers. The impeccably vital symbiosis of emcee and producer shown on every track of this album is rarely if ever seen, creating a masterful Great Work few musicians can ever reach. Every track stands easily on its own, straight bangers, but rocked as an album start to finish, Let The Right Ones In flows so seamlessly with such a coherently continuous sound and enduring atmosphere that it immediately meets my criteria of a true, eternal CLASSIC!!! All of the guest contributions are awesome, only adding to the aesthetic. This album is deeply multifaceted, enriched with a plethora of diverse influences yet so uniquely it's own, and powerfully resonant... it sticks with you. Immediately, Let The Right Ones In is my all time favorite Boston album, but it's so much more than that... Cop this, rock it on repeat, and tell yr friends. Love you guys.

Comment: The only thing that disapoints me about this release is the fact that the cd is housed in a paper sleeve inside of the insert! Lmao...if thats all I dont like than its safe to say that everything is good. Seriously tho, listened to the album 3 times already and I feel like this is one that is going to continue to grow on me for quite some time. Extra Solid Release! Pope's delivery and context once again are on point. He paints iller images than Bob Ross! Rains production was extremely refreshing. Rain provided a high quality canvas and brushes and Pope brought the paint and stroked the images…

Comment: This album is great! It's a dope chemistry of beats, and rhymes. I'm a major fan of Life After God, but I am very happy to say "Let The Right Ones In," stands toe to toe. Best way to sum this review up - Don't Sleep On This Album! Great start to 2013. Bet on that.
