Comment: Nas, please come back with that raw ill shit. We don't expect another Illmatic but at least work with some decent producers as on this stone cold classic. Us old cats are not stuck in the 90s, but we need to see the hunger and passion which you lost straight after the Illmatic masterpiece.

Comment: this was released definitely way before the internet was what it is now, now saying that and of course witnessing the very day the lead songs debuted with music videos, the pace of ingenuity and the right timing of the current technology of that time came all together and gave us a medium of the right sound and sound resolution wasnt the matter... I believe the legendary producers of the early Golden Era didnt know what they had until the looked back and realized time and place and space and sound made Hip Hop come alive with all the ingredients in the right conditions, no matter how hard they tried to duplicate you really have to have all these elements to exist again to bring it back, and only they knew what it took to recreate all of that in terms of quality and production gear and time management. all I got to say is theres toooo much progression in resolution and high definition that its overkilling the clean in art, the art in dirty, can you imagine clean dirt, is that good or bad?! tooo much thought about todays Hip Hop, I believe it like the easter bunny...AND IM OUT!!!

Comment: It's just a typical Get On Down release. They reissue an album and then reissue the same shit again 3 more times. Not only that the remasters always sound worse than the original versions. They just call them remastered because they had to try to make it sound better than the copy they start off with.

Comment: I have the vinyl, I have two of the singles on vinyl (both with acapella and instrumental). You gotta come with FULL instrumentals for me to even pretend like I give a damn. Like Justin said: "I can rap this whole album in my sleep, who the fuck needs a lyric sheet?) Whores

Comment: How the F*CK is there no instrumentals? I already have this album on vinyl and know all the lyrics by heart. This is a lame money grab...

Comment: @nyjetsfan89 I don't think there is much of a difference other than the US original version is worth a lot more money brand new and sealed than this one is for the simple fact it's old, in demand and hard to find sealed. I'm pretty sure this one is still in print while the US original is out of print. Some reissues sound compressed while this one probably sounds good but I've never heard it.
