    Summary

As the leader of the critically acclaimed group A Tribe Called Quest, Q-Tip (aka The Abstract) has had a career that has spanned all 4 elements of hip-hop. While releasing the critically acclaimed albums "The Low End Theory" and "Midnight Marauders" with A Tribe Called Quest, Tip simultaneously became one of the most important produces in the cultures history. With Tip being responsible for solo production work for such artists as Nas ("One Love", from Illmatic, 1994), Mobb Deep ("Give up the Goods (Just Step)", "Temperature's Rising", and "Drink Away the Pain", from The Infamous, 1995) and R&B singers Mariah Carey ("Honey", from Butterfly, 1997) and Whitney Houston ("Fine", from Whitney: The Greatest Hits), his imprint is all over the industry.

Eventually branching off to begin a solo career in the late 90's, Tip has released three solo albums selling over 1,000,000 units. His last two albums, The Renaissance (released in 2008, selling over 150,000 units) and Kamaal/ The Abstract (a collection of old material released in 2009) brought Tip's solo music back to the forefront. Eventually, Tip returned with the fellow Tribe members and toured with the group in 2008 and 2009 garnering rave reviews from fans and critics.

Along with Award-winning DJ/Remixer J.PERIOD, Q-Tip presents "The [Abstract] Best", an unprecedented tribute mix featuring new and classic Q-Tip, J.Period remixes, behind-the-scenes interviews, and exclusive new tribute tracks featuring an All-Star cast of hip hop legends and rising stars: De La Soul, Questlove (The Roots), Kid Cudi, Talib Kweli, Consequence, Skillz, Black Sheep and Blu - all paying tribute to The Abstract's legacy.

Comment: #1 ..I am not gay. #2..only a fool would pay $18.99 for this "pressed" copy when the official cd-r version is sold for $3.99 all over the 'net. I would rather save the $15 and give it to your mom Nick for a lap dance and a "tug" on my jimmy...

A few months back, one of my good friends Mac just shorted out and he lost EVERYTHING ..... years and years of dedication and downloading gone .... now he's at my house everyday ripping CD's from me ..... that's why I continue to buy VINYL ( longest shelf life ) and CD's
