Quakers is a hip hop collective of 35+ members: Fuzzface (Geoff Barrow of Portishead), Katalyst (Ashley Anderson), 7STU7 (Stuart Matthews, Portishead studio engineer) and a team of their favorite MCs from around the globe. It's an epic concept album that plays right through without any pauses between tracks. The second disc is the instrumentals. Some of the instrumental tracks appear in Banksy's film, Exit Through The Gift Shop.

Comment: They ain't Madlib, or Damu, Or Kankick.
Quality is below average, I don't know if people still holding an ear on their heads or they just listen to anything that can waste for them a couple of minutes.
This one is promoted as an album with high quality beats, but none of it is even average or close to the leaders of hip hop instrumentals production.

Comment: this one really suprised me... while portishead is some of my all time fave ish, in general I despise various artists albums like this with way too many emcees present, killing any cohesiveness... but that most definitely did not occur with this banger! some real ill talent showcased here that I wasn't familiar with like Coin Locker Kid and Tone Tank especially. mega cray slammin album, Stones Throw coming back with the real ill hip hop this year w/ this, homeboy sandman, dave dub...

Comment: didn't realize it was as good as it was until I got it playing on my home system. for some reason the internet didn't do it much justice. every song was good, I didn't skip through anything...and that's pretty rare these days.
