Comment: Nice cd. Actually this is better than most cd's than major labels release! REKS is a lyrical beast!

Comment: The realness of this production caught me off guard; I was bored of the King a post-Grey Hairs era, more a fan of his 1st two joints. I just love it when soulful meets street, unlike the ballads on previous albums which were just too soft for me. REKS is as insightful as ever on this one - check the "Gepeto" track for some lyrics 101 that'll step all over anyone's bars. As much as I'd like to give this album a 5* rating, the mixing & mastering - both done by the otherwise impeccable Jonny Numonics himself - left much to be desired. No no, this isn't just me & my stereo talking; on behalf of the 20+ people I've shared this with, I can guarantee you the sound comes out somewhat muffled, which is quite a shame for such a good piece of work. Even so, no reason to not cop this masterpiece. Favorite track: "The Egde". P.s. Just to even out the rating to a nice 4.5* and welcome any objections from mp3 geeks that wouldn't tell the difference between a well-mixed & mastered record and a 128kbps mixtape. Peace from Greece

Comment: Brick gets the dilz - always has and always will. Of course there are exceptions, but check the resume. By the way, only herbs catch feelings over an album cover. Crumbs!

Comment: This takes me back to the conscious/afrocentric era in Hip Hop when the goal was not only to entertain, but to impart knowledge. I don't know if this is my favorite REKS album yet cuz it's gonna take a few more listens, but good to know that Hip Hop still has a conscience.

Comment: I'm pretty sure that the cover was the LEAST of what I mentioned. I just don't get what happened release wise on this. But ya I did mention the cover for the CD cause its fucking wack. Period. The cover for the vinyl is amazing... just don't get why he didn't roll with that on both but whatever. I did listen to this and though I think its dope its not up to par with Along Came the Chosen or Grey Hairs. Its better than the last joint produced by Statik beat wise cause I think Statik's shit sounds the same after a while when he does a whole record. Overall this album was good though. There are a few joints where he just sampled audio clips and it seems a bit easy. Like an easy way out without having to write a chorus. Makes some of the songs boring to me. However, that Shotgun (Remix) with Boycott Blues and Ea$y Money is crazy! I keep forgetting the version with Jon Connor exists. Dope overall but not a classic... at all 3.5/5

Comment: Holy shit gentlemen, this album is straight fire! I didn't expect this release to be so amazing. This is the most "intelligent" album I've heard in a long while. Amazing beats, heavy subversive political flow from Reks. Reminds me of old Public Enemy and Rage against the Machine but better.. ALBUM OF THE YEAR SO FAR!! Thanks Reks for being so goddamn smart to do this.. By the way, who gives a shit about the cover?? It's what's inside that counts.. Amazing release.. Peace..

Comment: Is it just me or is there something weird about this release? No involvement with Showoff and no involvement with brick. shitty ass cover... no promotion... no fucking clue who numonics is (that could be me)... there is just something weird going on here.. why would reks drop this under such a shitty ass bootleg label when he has a strong camp backing him that will co-sign his shit and give him a... well... better cover I guess... Shit looks like a bootleg 2Pac joint in a corner bodega in NY

Comment: Does anyone know why Brick or Showoff are not involved with this release? The cover almost makes it look like a bootleg or something thrown together. There was no promotion like on past Reks releases and Reks JUST released a new record. Who is Gracie Productions? What happened to Brick? Showoff? Statik? Just looks shady to me.

Comment: Why when "no chaser" is still fresh and selling/playing would you release ANOTHER album to compete with your OWN shit? That's some fucked up marketing, these cats ever hear of the supply and demand theory or what? Reks is awesome, would like to know who produced it.. Peace..
