Product Details

Ruste Juxx is a long-time favorite of the core Duck Down Music following. He is a protege of Sean Price. Ruste Juxx was born & raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. In 2008 he debuted with his Indestructible album, which performed well. For his latest offering, V.I.C., Ruste has teamed up with The Arcitype, a promising producer from Boston, MA. Ruste is rhyming over entirely sample free production that has strong bass & a cohesive arrangement. While the content is hardcore in nature & tells of real-life situations that Ruste Juxx has encountered, the entire album is curse-free.

Comment: This album has great lyrics and beats from Ruste Juxx and The Arcitype respectively. This is hands down Ruste's best album so far. Hardbodie hip hop is close. The beats are very clean and have their own style which makes them very refreshing to hear. Its obvious that a lot of people needs to get their ears tuned if they're hating on this album.

Comment: I'm tired of the over-the-top emotional, wanna-be epic crap. This is stagnant hip-hop. "Can Only Be Me" is embarrassing to hear. Forgettable. Pass, easily. NEXT!

Comment: The album is very boring. The lyrics and subject matters are very subpar. The production and guest features are alright, but there's really nothing interesting in this album.

Comment: The beats are pretty weak, too bad because the guest line-up is great but it never gets good. Hope Ruste will hook up with a better producer next time!
