Sedgwick & Cedar x Joe Conzo: Catch A GrooveBlackT-Shirt
Designer: Joe Conzo
SummaryThe capsule collection by Sedgwick & Cedar x Joe Conzo continues to push the limits of what can be achieved when fashion and history collide.
Bronx bred photographer Joe Conzo needs no introduction. The man The New York Times calls "the chronicler who took hip hop's baby pictures" is considered Hip-Hop's first photographer. His critically acclaimed work and global success with his monograph Born in the Bronx and contributions to notable projects like: Just For Kicks, NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell, And You Don't Stop: 30 Years of Hip-Hop and Hip-Hop Immortals are the proof in the puddin'.
Sedgwick & Cedar's star has been steadily rising since mid-2009 with their Original Flyer Tees, the very funky Jamel Shabazz Collection and an insatiable dedication to the true culture of Hip-Hop. All S&C styles are printed on fitted ultra soft ringspun cotton and feel absolutely perfect to the touch. The Joe Conzo capsule collection by S&C will be produced in limited quantities, so ordering designs while available is highly recommended. Once Joe Conzo bookings are produced for stockists, most of the designs will be put in the S&C vaults. When Joe was asked why he decided to work with S&C he replied quite simply, "I decided to collaborate with S&C because so many pioneers were involved from the start...this collection means alot to me because i was part of the creative process - from the selection of the photos to their ultimate usage."
S&C created custom hang tags specifically for this project. Unlike many companies who periodically engage in copyright infringement and half stepping, S&C has the exclusive licensing rights to Joe Conzo's photo archives for use in all S&C fashion & footwear. Joe personally hand selected the collection's photos, collaborated on designs and is actually part of the S&C family. Sedgwick & Cedar would not be what it is today without the blessings, collaboration, and support of ALL of our honored teammates and pioneers who launched the S&C Company.
