    Summary

Slaine's upcoming studio album "The King Of Everything Else", is scheduled for an August 19th release date through Suburban Noize. The album is set to feature collaborations with heavyweights Tech N9ne, Madchild, Bishop Lamont, Vinnie Paz, Reks and Termanology, and La Coka Nostra brethren ILL BILL. The album artwork for "The King Of Everything Else", was designed by legendary hip-hop artist Skam2, who has worked with everyone from Eminem, A Tribe Called Quest, D-12, Dizzy Wright, and ILL BILL, to rock group's like Linkin Park.

"The songs on this new album are extremely visual and I felt like the album cover needed to be an accompanying piece. I met Skam2 through ILL BILL a while back and had always dug his work," said Slaine. "I had an idea of what I wanted to do with the cover conceptually and thought he would be the perfect artist to execute it. He took the idea and ran with it. I love the results."

Throughout his musical career as a solo artist, or as a member of hip-hop supergroup La Coka Nostra, Slaine has always made his songs with a gritty, lyrical honesty. His latest autobiographical gorilla, "The King of Everything Else", is a cutting and revealing tell-all. If Behind The Music or E! True Hollywood Story dug this deep into an artist's psyche, they'd have to resurrect Kubrick to subdue all the madness. Slaine, meanwhile, navigates the chaos with impressive nihilistic gusto.

Comment: I hate the fact my dad made me do chores so I f*cking love Slaine! F*ck yeeaaaaa! Whenever my Mom tells me to pick up my dirty socks I say f*ck you mom and slam my door and put Slaine on, Volume 6! F*ck yeeaaaa!! This dude is the truth. But I gotta say the lyrics weren't rapey enough on this release and the beats not as hardcore. I can tell because I have had no dentist appointments since I first listened.

Comment: I liked this album so much I had to get a vinyl copy - BIG MISTAKE! This wax sounds like GARBAGE! Suburban Noize either hired a moron to master this for vinyl or probably didn't even bother doing it at all. Sh*t needs to be cranked and still just sounds like an MP3 on a high end system. Trust me - DO NOT BUY THIS VINYL!

Comment: I'm really enjoying this album..It is real tight all around, great bars/flow, production is dope, especially DJ Lethal. Best of all, it just sounds/feels real to me. I'm 40 now, real OG's aren't street anymore, they're too smart, this album reflects that. Well thought out, raw energy, props!

Comment: Slaine is as real as they come. I agree with him not being consistent with his solo work, but this album stands far above his past projects, along with most of the other stuff being put out recently. Slaine said it himself prior to its release that he poured his heart and soul into it, and that couldn't be any more clear. If you can't appreciate the production, lyrics, topics/subjects, and rawness this album brings, consider another genre.

Comment: I just copped this tonight. It sounds like Slaine got desperate on this one. Don't get me wrong, I like Slaine a lot but I think you'll agree it needs to be harder. I mean "grrrr mudafuka tske that bitch, yno" - either way sure it grow on me.

Comment: Dope album. Apart from the Tech N9ne track which sucks. But it's a single so that's to be expected. This is the best work Slaine has done.

Comment: The production was horrible, not enough boom bap plus some of the lyrics were sloppy.

Comment: Slaine doesn't HIT, he is good but he either needs beats or more tighter rhymes I think a bit of both. It's a different vibe - I am 50/50 on it but probably won't cop it, but it may be good. I'm just not exactly sold on it.

Comment: 1 star for the production, 1 star for the lyrics, 1 star for the heart he puts into this project and 2 more for how it all comes together to form a masterpiece. And if it 5 more for everyone that hates on the project that both won't listen to it and talk s***, or the people who talked s*** before it even came out. Hopefully you guys all line up to freestyle battle him on the street and get slapped.

Comment: Why does this fat slob continue to make albums? He makes some of the worst music I've ever heard in my entire life. La Coka Nostra as a whole sucks sh*t and have never made even one single good track ever. This out of shape pig stands out as the worst part of the entire group. This type of garbage can only appeal to two types of people; 1: White, insecure, douche bags that front like they're hard and deep down know they're complete pussies and 2: people who like hip hop, hate mainstream music but still have a taste for complete sh*t.

Comment: Who gives a f*ck about album cover art lol. I guess I'm the only dude that listens to music...for the music. Also, Checkmark from Skitzo's showing up on a feature! F*cking nice!

Comment: Slaine is aight with the lyricals, not a phenom but more a good song closer or can key in on a posse banger, but if it bangs I might check for this. But epic fail on the cover art and the cheeses bud bundy lookalike wearing the crown pffff.....1 point got the handcuffs and the name font but it is kinda kiddie other then that, some mature ill sh*t would do.

Comment: The cover art looks MAD corny, can Slaine just try to go cheese-pop and call it a day? If this does well I will look into it, but Slaine has been slumping lately, old, fatter and lazier. Ill Bill is the answer in La Coka Nostra.

Comment: Slaine always sounds dope on someone else's track and then his albums(mixtapes) sound really weak. Never like the beats he picks.

Comment: Definitely going to pick this one up. Didn't love the Boston Project but I respect it for what it was. A World With No Skies (original version) was pretty damn good and his mixtapes are solid too, hoping this has some dope tracks.
