Comment: A huge disappointment. They continued to improve and mature in their beats ever since German Lugers. Black Snow was a milestone for them and The Trojan Horse was on par with the legend Stoupe's production. I had such high hopes after The Trojan Horse because it seemed they kept improving on each album sounding ever more sophisticated but this album was way too bland and misses that patented Snowgoons sound from such tracks as "The Hatred," "Full Force," "Hate on Me," and their greatest track to date "Scar Sculpture." There was no epic beat, no grimy violin, and no powerful orchestra backing up a solid line up of emcees. Maybe my standards were too high but I honestly expected nothing less than the best sound from my favorite producers in the industry of hip-hop. I look forward to their next big release... |
