Blockhead's music seriously can mess with your head sometimes. He has that ability to sculpt mood music like few other people around today. Blockhead first made a name for himself by producing a lot of Aesop Rock's material. He then released, "Music By Cavelight" which is easily one of the best instrumental albums ever on a "Deadringer" level for sure. "Downtown Science" is his latest offering and Blockhead definately switches it up incorporating all different styles of elements like oriental music. Blockhead based this album on the area he lives and is from, being downtown New York. Grab this and listen to it during the cold months of winter walking around doing the daily with the headphones on and whatnot. Don't forget to check the bonus DVD for the results of a contest Blockhead ran where people could match songs from "Music By Cavelight" with film and art. Good stuff for sure.
