I wish I could say I support new concepts but HipHop should be as it always was... as country should be what IT always was, as should Rock. Feel me? All of these are the original concept and they remain intact. People who love good rock hate Kid Rock. You know why… because he sucks. There is no room for “new” concepts and let it remain true. Comment: I finally heard this album and I am a little disappointed. Ghost tried to be creative and it was a mixed bag for me. The album is not horrible but it is not great either. It is more like a personal album for Ghost and he does a good job of telling vivid stories but the songs are a little too sweet sounding for me. Some of the beats are ok but overall it is lacking a hard punch. I think the album is too focused on relationships and needs more balance. I don't buy a Ghostface album to hear about relationships the whole album thru. He usually throws one or two of these types of songs which I do enjoy in moderation, but a whole album?? NAHHHHHHHH! Love ya Ghost, but this one is a miss.... |

I mean honestly to each their own but I may write him a letter and tell him that it's cool when the ladies feel it and they outnumber us greatly; HOWEVER I cannot fathom taking this route. R&B is peace for its listeners and I love ALL music but when the autotune is introduced and becomes the feature, I cannot look past it. Must... HATE!!! Comment: I just finished listening to this album and I must say...it's dope! When I heard it was an R&B album I didn't know what to make of it either but apparently Ghost just knows good music. Guy is a genius. Of course you have to appreciate R&B to like this album as much as I do cuz if you're looking for that gritty Wu-Tang sound you're gonna have to buy another copy of Iron Man cuz you won't find it here. But if you like R&B as well as hip-hop this is a must have. Get em Ghost. |
