Item Summary
As a follow up to 03's less refined, unofficial, Underscore, Extended Fam member Tonedeff returns with his official full-length debut album Archetype. As the title infers, Archetype isn't your normal hip-hop album, but is instead a far more musical experience in which Tonedeff incorporates singing into his already unique rhyme style, reminiscent of past songs "Homecoming King," on The Monotone EP, "Fast" on Hyphen, and "Morethanthis" on Underscore. This estranged piece of art is Tonedeff's creation from start to finish, with him producing ten of the album's fifteen tracks, writing both the lyrics and hooks, and designing the artwork. Archetype is also a very personal album, with Tonedeff rapping about everything from fear, love, and hope, to threesomes and inner struggles with temptation and religion. In an era where weak emcees are forced to enlist guests on the majority of their tracks in order to remain both credible and tolerable, Tondeff gets all guest spots out of the way on "Quotables," where he lends the mic to Wordsworth, Rise, Supastition and the rest of his Extended Famm. Also included in this package is a DVD entitled Archetexture, which features production commentary, live performances, and never before seen interviews with Immortal Technique, Wordsworth, PackFM, Poison Pen, Domingo, Kno, DJ JS-1 and many more. Order the Archetype double-disc from UGHH.com today and receive a free sticker.

Comment: It is sad when an artist spends so much time and effort on making an album thats truly great and it slips under the radar. This album is the combination of everything hiphop is missing. he also brings some of the more commercial genres without abusing them. singing is a little off the key and I can do without but delivery AND CONTENT IS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
