But in a 2000s modern way. I haven't heard anyone talk about the album in college radio or mainstream. A slept on album. The remix songs Ugod should of gave a House music DJ a sample. The other songs on satelite, or college radio. |

on the opening track train trussle u-god got scotty wotty gza's rhyming partner from the early 80's the inventor's of the park hill style & he got ghostface on the track & the result is a classic track that you would still be able to appreciate 20 years from now, there's a lot of great tracks on this album.my 3 favorite tracks on the album is stomp da roach, train trussle & wu-tang. other highlights on the album is coke, magnum force, god is love & new classic.
a lot of people are complaining about the 3 remixes at the end, i'm not familiar with that type of music it's not my style but I must admit I enjoyed it I thought it was cool. the tracks that I didn't like was lipton, hipps & dopium. rhymes pocking out was just about a passable track, the highlight for me on the track was that leathaface was back with u-god that was cool to see to bad it wasn't that great to hear

As for Lipton, listening to that sample just fucked up my day honestly. It's like Strawberry Shortcake ghostwrote that bullshit style for him. (Shakes head...) |

Overall though its easily U-Gods best album, def worth a listen |

I really love Lipton, Hips and Rims ... finally these rappers are getting brave with the very danceable beats and less of the lyrical "hip hop" nonsense. My best friend and I enjoyed the remixes too and it was fun all day ... rap needs more of those in constant repeat. |

I'm pretty blown on that remix shit though. Lipton? No bueno, but this got some bangers in it. I'm still going to get it because I'm a Wu head, Magnum Force, Hips, Wu- Tang, all good. Train Trussle is a must have for me. |

I really believe in this projects. tracks that i've heard so far - train trussle, god is love, new classic, stomp da roach are just amazing + even hips and rims pokin out are nice for a club type of tracks. dopium and ob4cl part 2 are my last hope when it comes to wu tang releases. these two projects are the only oen capable of bringing the wu tang state of mind back to the streets. |

But man those last two solo albums were whack. U god is such a talented rapper and I just cant understand why he hasnt dropped a hot solo album. I hope this album is good but honestly I dont see u god breaking any new ground with this. He is just one of those rappers thats not good by himself. All of his solo albums lack the rest of the clan tremendously. He should just do a collaboration album with leathaface. Hes on every u god album and every track they do together is hot. WTF put a good album out already U GOD were all waiting! |
