Item Summary
Wu-Tang Meets The Indie Culture is a potent brand: Vol. 1 is widely regarded as one of the best underground hip hop albums of all time, and has scanned over 60,000 units to date. Wu-Tang Meets The Indie Culture Vol. 2: Enter The Dubstep is a meeting of two of the most powerful underground music cultures in the world. On one side you have the street-based hip hop of the Wu-Tang Clan, which has spawned millions upon millions of record sales, and created an entire genre of grimy hardcore hip hop; and on the other side, you have Dubstep, the brainchild of UK Garage, Drum-N-Bass, and Dub Reggae, that has taken London subculture, British radio, and now, an increasingly more mainstream U.S. audience by storm Combined for the first time in this unique album, the result is a sonic apairing that was born to be, with stomach-pounding, bass-thinking guttural beats and gully, gritty and grimy lyrics that break into the next decade in the chapters of both hip hop and dubstep history. With Caspa, Scuba, Rogue Star, Stenchman, Datsik and many more producing not remixes, but complex re-interpollations that include a veritable goldmine of Wu-Tang verses from the vaults that feature Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Rza, Gza, Method Man, U-God, Busta Rhymes, MF DOOM, Pimp C, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, Son One, Solomon Childs, Prodigal Sunn and many more, this one of a kind compilation is at the forefront of an emerging cultural and musical blend that is taking place on the margins of the mainstream, but will be talked about for years to come…

Comment: Dope album. It’s quite different. I do appreciate the electronic scene and how Hip-Hop and electro may come together to make something dope. If all you guys only listen to is Hip-Hop go out and listen to some of these electronic artists. They got the hunger and creativity as some of the illest Emcee's in the 90's. Go "Think Differently"

Comment: please stop trying to mix and "mash" hip hop with this euro-house\acid\trip hop crap, or whatever you wanna call it. just because you met some dickheadS in england that you think are cool, doesnt mean you have to do an album with them. progression is cool but only when it makes sense.

Comment: Its not typical beats.. I think alotta of the beats come hard and after listening the album is pretty solid. Track 2 New Year Banga is a fav on this. If your expecting boom bap, run away.

Comment: Similar to the new DOOM, this is another Wu-Tang before its time Project, the tempo isn't usual, but the raw thump and dusty synths are awesome, and from Dub steppers they say this sound is MAJOR in places outside U>S>A This is a must get, and if this isnt the sound of Hip hop in a Wu Tang predict the future manner again like always, I'd be very surprised ... Wu-Tang projects (not solo, out house produced) are so often ahead of their time i.e. Bob Digi, The W, 8 Diagrams

Comment: I must be missing something. I was highly disappointed. These are just old verses thrown on new beats. Maybe if they actually wrote to these tracks it might sound better but it's definately hard to beat the originals

Comment: DAMN. I'm actually really feeling this. Two types of grime clashing to make some crazy shit. Give this a listen. MUCH different than volume one (of course, seeing as this is dubstep), but peep it.
