Comment: I think this is a responce to the new bubble gum music that has been played on the radio to help get that sick feeling of them out of our mouths. Anyone who thinks this record isn't good obviously need to reconcider, sorry if you don't like swear words, maybe you would be best pretending to be a child because swear words you can't escape.

Comment: I agree with Dan there is only two or three tracks I don't listen to on this album. This was a solid effort from Royce. He's one of my top emcees in the game right now. Premo should have done the whole album and this would've been CLASSIC!! Blaq Poet Blaqprint is CLASSIC and best album of 09 to me!!!

Comment: The album is okay. The strongest tracks are the preemo cuts but mr. porter really makes some bangers also. Royce lyrics are catchy for the most part but I was expecting something more gritty rather this album seems more mainstream. Royce should really hook up with statik selektah an they do a whole album an not a mixtape.

Comment: LOL! You've been listening to rap since 1980, yet you make a million post on specific albums whining about other peoples opinions? Hell, I oblige anyone to go look at the KRS & Buckshot album "Survival Skills". You made almost 9-10 comments, most of which have nothing to do with the album, but instead show you condemning someone's viewpoint or bashing KRS. Even more pathetic is that you admit to being damn near 40-50 arguing with kids about their opinions on obscure albums. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if you were a white kid in high-school who just feigns knowledge on rap; at least that would make more sense then some 40 year-old dude giving albums 1 stars over and over and over and over. You're only hurting your own credibility.

Comment: I listened to this again and gave it an extra star for "Far Away". Other than that, this album is VERY average at best. Royce is a fake LL Cool J. His voice / delivery kinda reminds me of Cool J from the 80's. JAKE: I have been listening to hip hop since 1980. WAAAAAY before you even knew what the sh*t was. Don't get on a highhorse and talk about how things have changed in the music. Nothing stays the same in life son....if that was the case we all would live in caves, or still ride horseback, or still use crude tools, or slavery would still exist in the USA, or there would not be a black president, or there still will be segregation, or there will be no computers, or we will all still be iistening to bee-bop....the list goes on....Royce 5'9" is NOT as hot as he thinks he is or you think he is....back when there were very few labels in hip hop, the man would be still UNSIGNED!!! HECK...it's so easy to get a record deal now compared to the past and he STILL has trouble staying signed. WTF is M.I.C. records???? Royce has been dropped more than a high school hoe...Dude please...wake up son...you are disillusioned.

Comment: @ D-stroi. You're wasting your breath. Seriously, this site has been going to hell in a hand-basket. As one dude stated in the forums: "Ppl have kind of forgotten the HHB, in which I understand. Alot of former posters here either left the site in general or switched over to the GB full time. All of the mods like myself are in their late 20's (DJ Jon the obv exception), so they've outgrown the whole element of giving a shit of what's so caled "real hip-hop". They all still enjoy it I can assume, but outgrew the idea of hip-hop actually being a so-caled lifestyle (lol). Basically, everyone grew up and just takes it as it is...music. "This new breed of faggots....kids, alot of the foreigners, late-20 somethings who still starch their eck0000s are pretty entertaining at times. They have those fagotty feelings about what real hip hop is, like we did back in the early 2000's. They express it quite a bit. We colectively LOL. They get mad and make a million threads about how mad they are at music. We LOL again."

Comment: lars my dude, this album isnt as bad as you think. with some of the suspect doo doo you have listened too hence (lil wayne) this cd has more substance. all of the premo tracks are dope. tracks 15 & 16, which go together basically intertwining a story. hence a concept. same as number 18, a messed up story but it was a story non the less which I like. granted, there are some questionable songs on this album that makes me scratch my head but I think this album was taylored to different likes of people that like rap music or hiphop music. so with that said, giving this a 1 star rating isnt fair. dude has lyrics whether you like him or not. but again these are based on opinions and other peoples likes. good looks my dudes

Yo Lars my dude, Maybe the cats down south clap guns all the time, but doesnt mean they make good music. And NY doesnt have it anymore? Blaq Poet and Cormega alone are bringing back the status of NY. Comment: I don't condone crime, but with social unrest, comes great art. I don't see great artists coming out of a charmed situtation...for instance.."Yo we repping real hard out here in West Palm Beach, ya heard??" Nothing DOPE is coming out of rich azz West Palm Beach...anger and frustration breeds incredible emotion and art. NY dose not have it any more...it's just a fact. Maybe their blind and dumb governor will lead them back into their "dark ages" (no pun intended..lol). The South is crazy...I am well aware that they bust their guns in the south and it is home to many of the murder capital of the USA. I would more far alert going to a place like Memphis, Richmond or D.C. before going to NYC.

Comment: Seriously LARS, you act like you wanna condone violent behavior man. NYC losing its edge?? Dramatic decrease in violence is a good thing yo. How would you like to get robbed or stabbed?

Comment: What attitude? I never claim I am a tough guy who pops shyt...But if you step to me disrespectfully I will handle you like a man. I have been to projects from NY to London to Paris to LA to Richmond to Boston to Miami and the mentality is the same...stay on your toes and mind your business. If you are from NYC, I can tell you first hand that NYC is no longer like it was in the 70's and 80's. It is Disneyland by comparison. Times SQ for one is so kiddie like now..back when they had nothing but Arcades, XXX Theaters, strip clubs, peep shows, and the famed Latin Quarter..it was an ill place. The brooklyn and Uptown kids ran things. Gangs like the Ball Busters, the 5 percenters, & The Decepticons were robbing folks left and right. I been to the projects when crack ruled NYC and it was crazy back then...now...not nearly as bad......NYC has lost it's edge and the music has suffered....

Comment: Brits getting "gangsta"... haha seriously LARS, you living in Sweden trying to talk on some gangsta tip. I'm not bashing Sweden either, but you just wouldn't know about what real gangsta is. You just think you know from hearing faggot shit like Lil Wayne and think that's gangsta. Walk around in the projects ANYWHERE in my country for a day with that attitude and you'll get a feel of what gangsta is, just don't plan to make it home b4 a hospital visit.

Comment: Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Thank god there are dozens of MC's better than Royce, in my own opinion, otherwise I would have to stop listening to hip hop. I cannot sit thru one Royce 5'9 album or mixtape.

Comment: Listen here Aussie, I only support certain artists that make a difference in music. Not fake LL Cool J wannbees like Royce. He's a bum and Proof RIP should have ended this guy's career (if you catch my drift). Royce is a maggot who tried to throw Bugz's soul under the bus..F Him!

Comment: Royce 5'9 is a punk. I would actually buy this album if it would ensure we never hear from him again. $15 is a small price to pay for his banishment from my ears.
