Thought they would just naturally kill it...but idk what went soo wrong from every angle. The only smashin' track is Red Dragon & it's a track from Monsters in the Closet...wtf, why?!
- I'm all for artists progressing & switchin' it up, but I don't enjoy the newish style on them. I mean, I'm not even feelin' Rob's production like I alwaays have...that says a lot. Sadly, It wasn't even worth adding to my collection. oh yeah, & Tre Nyce is a freaking JOKE!!!! All he has is a pocket full of luck...& it neeeeds to run out Fast. |

Note how the people rating it also show a lack in vocabulary and promote violence and their from Canada? WTF?? Poor production, weak lyrical content and considering the wealth of talent out there where the hell did Tre Nyce and Young Kazh come from, they SUCK, no flow and terrible deliver, nothing to say, nothing inspiring whatsoever. WACK. So dissapointed! |

and a few others are not bad at all and sound like there old shit.NOW...the track, Real PI, for example..is a fucking embarrassment to everything that was and is.. left of real HipHop.Wtf were they thinking? That shit is straight up everything I hate...Do yourself a favor SM's, lose your jiggy little friend Tre Nyce and anyone else that tries to change your sound to "whats hot now"...I understand wanting to get payed but that's just a big fuck you,..not just to your real fans but Hiphop as a dieing culture as well. I've been listening to them since the beginning, and I have so much respect. They have had some amazing stuff, and some not so great stuff. Some of the tracks on this cd are actually quite good, but yeah, some of them are completely ridiculous, with the auto tune and lyrics I never thought I'd hear from them. But what's with the bashing? These guys are still absolutely amazing, always throwing it down, and they give an unbelievable live show. Maybe this isn't the same as what we love on Balance and Bad Dreams, but things change people. They made something different, doesn't mean they aren't talented. This definitely isn't my favourite album, but I've supported Swollen from the beginning and I'm not going to stop because of a few bad tracks.

They have crazy talent, that is without doubt and certainly know their business. BUT this release is absolutely awful!!! They are either (a) trying to hard to push the boundaries and have lost focus (b) caught up in a style and delivery that is simply damn right shockingly crap. Its hard to listen to Prevail and Madchild delivering such limited lyrics with awkward flows when I know damn well they have skills to rip tracks apart. As for the production, I rate it on the same level, poor, unimaginative and lacking creativity. This is a serious 'loss of focus' album and is not due to me un-accustomed to change. My whole crew and I have been down with these boys through thick and thin (Heavy was shite also). It really doesn't help having the appallingly weak duo Tre Nyce and Young Kahz so much, to think Madchild started with such ill collaborations i.e. Q Bert and now who the f'k are these 2? What happened to the misguided angel in 'Strength' and prevail busting about readin literature to improve his verses? Wasted! This album and their delivery to me is the same as what all the current wack rappers are doing now. Swollen, sort it out and gate back on track!!!!! Terrible! |

Trey isnt horrible when he spits(better than most of the rhymers out now at least) but im not feeling that Auto tune and pimp stuff. worth a buy and I am eager to see what happens next. Porn Star, Bollywood Chick (only listened to it cuz it had Tech N9ne), Flyest & Real P.I. it's a good album tho I understand why people don't like it.
BTW fuck you Jason Vorhees, we got Grych, D. Black, Common Market, Dyme Def, Blue Scholars, Jake One, Vitamin D and a whole lot of talented artist. |

I have been listening since Balance and have purchased every album they put out. Everyone has been great but I'm not sure what happened here? They have auto-tune choruses and rap about $300k whips? Their new pals they bring along do nothing but bring down the album. Plus Red Dragon is like 7 years old, why is it on here? This is not the Swollen Members true fans are used to. I think they tried to make a "commerical" sounding album mixed with way too much of a rock/metal sound (which can be awesome but sounds forced on this record). I am very disappointed & hope this was just a misstep and their next effort will be back on track. Sorry guys put this is a major fail! |

THESE GUYS ARE SUPERSMART. better than most american groups.
i know prevail and madchild personally and they are all about business/lyrics and culture. not money and record sales
Canada has smarter people, but less of a population and less weapons of death/less money. BUT MORE SPIRITUAL ARTISTIC SKILLS AND MIND SCIENCE.
so say what "y'all"....someone will take america out of having THE BEST hiphop, one day.
