Item Summary
He's been called a prophet, an innovator, a poet; whichever you prefer, the emcee known as Killah Priest is certainly one of the most vivid lyricists in Hip Hop. Priest first entranced listeners on the classic track "B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)" on GZA's seminal debut LP Liquid Swords. Since then Priest has continued to enthrall devotees of true Hip Hop with his lush imagery, graphic storytelling and razor-sharp rhymes. Now the Rap veteran and Wu affiliate returns with "Elizabeth (Introduction To The Psychic)". Priest delivers a solid full length of head nodders sure to satisfy Wu-Tang fans worldwide all while staying true to his spiritual side and his firm belief in the power of Hip Hop. "Elizabeth" is the first release on Priest's own Proverb Records. Production on "Elizabeth" is handled by frequent Killah Priest collaborator DJ Woool.

Comment: This album is CRACK!!! I can't stop listening to this. The lyrics are so fu*king raw and the beats go very good with Killah's lyrics. This album surprised me like a muthafuc#a!! One of the best albums of 09 period.

Comment: Always had love for Priest from back in the early 'Sunz of Man' dayz and after the incredible 'Heavy mental' I thought that the 'View from Masada' production was to clean and lacked rawness. The other releases since I feel had mostly squeeky clean production but this release is a pleasant surprise for me due to the dirt sound and despite the poor sound quality in places Priest has recaptured his raw sound with decent raw sounding beats combined with his usual tight flow with intelligent word play. In short I feel this to be one of his best releases to date along with the classic debut! period!!!

Comment: wasn't keen to this one at first, KP often comes with too many symphony hard drum beats that lack creativity and art, but although this production is several steps above that expectation it still doesnt inspire beat arrangements, but KP rtrns with lyrics.born and the thump is consistent, a pleasant surprise (I'd say a 3.5/5)
