Comment: Okay...FE is the perfect example of when execution doesn't match up with concept. Musically, Nicolay is a feast for the ears! Unfortunately, vocally Phonte is BBQ'd meat that doesn't taste as good as the sauce suggests. Does that make sense? 'Connected' was a MASTERPIECE imo, mainly because Phonte stayed in his lane (rhymes, hooks). 'LIAB' was pretty dope as well. But now Ponte is convinced that he is a TRUE vocalist and, well...that's just not the case. Bottom Line: when I play FE instrumentals for people they LOVE IT. The vocal tracks? Not so much. Sorry 'Tay. You still my boy! LB/JL for life! Seriously - if Phonte only stuck to rapping and the OCCASIONAL vocals/hooks, Foreign Exchange would be the dopest ish out there! They usally find killer guest vocalists (Shana, Carlitta) - REAL singers! But man...Phonte's Pharrell-like 'sangin' can only go so far. It just doesn't match up to Nicolay's insanely addictive backdrops :(

Comment: These guys never go back to the well twice. Always trying different sounds and styles. I suspect this album will grow on me as all there others have.

Comment: I liked Connected. Leave It All Behind was dope. Authenticity was average and I think this album is the weakest of all. Bit too cheesy for my liking.

Comment: I'm only interested if Phonte doesn't try to sing.

Comment: Looking forward to this release. Nicolay is a dope producer so I will support this one for sure. The Nic and Kay album was a dope album as well as the first FE album. Just like when you can tell a DJ Premier track, you can do the same with a Nicolay track. Good shit!
