    Summary

Necro, born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in the Glenwood Housing Projects. Necro started rapping at 8 years old reciting the full song lyrics to popular hiphop songs out at the time. Necro derived his stage-name from the Slayer song "Necrophobic". Necro has released over 37 albums through his self owned record label, Psycho+Logical-Records, and has built a fan-base that has grown with every release.

Necro, as a student of the game, was highly influenced by Kool G Rap's lyrical ability. G Rap is considered a legend by many of his rap peers, so when the opportunity to work with him presented itself it was a no brainer for Necro to make it happen.

    Necro on Godfathers:
"The Godfathers album is about pure east coast lyricism over hardcore beats. Kool G rap is the legendary godfather of all criminal street gangster rap, he invented most of what you see today, and lyrically every dope MC is inspired by him, including myself. On the flipside of that coin, you have me, the underground king of Death Rap and extreme hip-hop, nobody in the field gets more respect than Necro for brutal rhymes and hardcore production. This has lead to the combination of us working together since both Mc's are the godfathers of their own styles. You will hear both rappers lyrically gunning over an entire album, produced by myself, with gritty dark street production. This record is for the diehard fans of that 90's style hiphop, and is the total opposite of today's commercial music, the last of a dying breed."

    Kool G Rap:
Kool G Rap started his solo career with the album 4,5,6, which featured production from Buckwild, and guest appearances from Nas, MF Grimm and B-1 – it has been his most commercially successful record, reaching No.24 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. This was followed by Roots of Evil in 1998 and The Giancana Story in 2002. "My Life" the hit single from the album featuring Talk Box legend G-Wise reached No.5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. In the following years, mixtapes were made and further collaborations continued. There were even rumors of G Rap's signing to both Rocafella and G-Unit records, and at one point Maybach Music. In 2007 he released Half a Klip on Chinga Chang Records, featuring production from, among others, DJ Premier and Marley Marl. A full LP was released in 2011, Riches, Royalty, Respect showcasing his true to form style and lyricism.

Comment: The album was great, every song is sick as hell. The only downside is that there were no songs with multiple verses by EITHER rapper. Every song was structured to feature one verse from each which is just kind of weird. However, the music is amazing.

Comment: @jeff 413 and dank,as far as putting Necro in the same category as ICP (whom I am also a fan of) I would say is a little far fetched, though both have the same style as murder lyrics, Necro comes off way more technical with his material where ICP the last couple of years are more a mix of slap happy comedy to go with their evil rhymes, not to say that there's anything wrong with that. Necro is more like if Geto Boys and Rakim morped into a cyborg type rapper that's what you would get, technical lyrics but can still bring that crazy murder style.

Comment: Finally got around to listening to this album, boy was it worth it, the beats were definitely fitting the title of Godfathers being on some straight up mob type sh*t w/ Kool G. and Necro spitting lyrics like a tommy gun. Standout tracks were omerta/crook catastrophe and the gunblast kid/unsub/ wolf eyes w/ Mr. Hyde was f*cking classic. Definately a good collabo between two kickass mc's. A must buy in my book.

Comment: Necro is the only recording artist I have ever heard of that blocks his fans from commenting on his social media pages if he doesn't like something they have said. For how "gangsta" you are, you sure are fucking fragile! I never really liked you as an artist, but have been supportive over the years, because I liked how "real" I thought you were. Now I fucking hate you, and I will never introduce another soul to your music. What a fucking pussy!

Comment: Necro's verse on Wolf Eyes is classic. He kills it on High Tension too. Aside from saying yeehah and rootin tootin on Crook Catastrophe that verse is incredible. Everything else is sort of forgettable and the punchins are really annoying to me. Also HATE how loud the vocals are! WTF is he thinking???? G Rap kills it on every verse tho. 3/5 on this album.

Comment: shit is fucking fyre, necro's production is insane and his flow combined with horrorcore rhymes and g rap's gangsta/mafia endless multi style makes this an all time classic. the more I listen to this album the more the songs grow on me, tons of replay value. nothing for the weak minded who can't differentiate between entertainment and reality. This is probably the most unexpected collabo in hip hop history yet it works so goddamn well. props to Necro & G Rap.

Comment: I bought a physical copy of this. I can honestly say I was dissapointed. Not very creative. Almost every song is built the same way. (Verse 1: Necro. Chorus. Verse 2: Kool G Rap. Chorus.). That got pretty boring after a couple of songs. Both Necro and KGR was on point with the pen. The beats are allright, not Necro's best work, but pretty solid. High Tension, Wolf Eyes & Heart Attack were my favorites on the production tip. The girl singing the chorus on a couple of songs is nothing special. Average album. But dudes delivered verses. Mixing sounds kind of shitty sometimes. 2.5/5.

Comment: I had enough of Hold Gold's shinanigans! If you don't like this project than go praise & comment on gay azz Hasaan Mackey's or Blu's albums & lay off this particular page! Yeah, I don't personally like much of Necro's later work but this album is good sh*t, & collaborating with Kool G Rap is priceless in these dying days of hip-hop. I can't stand Odd Future, but I dont go into their page dogging them out, ya know?!

Just bc I know necro sucks doesn't mean I don't love aotp, jmt, dgz, lcn, hiero, dilated and so on. Hating on the guy who you plr fams deep throat does not make us any less hip hop listeners. U like him. We get it. We think He sucks. All still on ughh though so how are we now Rick Ross fans!? Dumb ass comments expected from people who pump this GARBAGE. the greatest thing necro ever did was to oversee the prod of The Future is Now. That's it

Comment: this album is great! kool g rap is always on point with his lyrics. The production is on an all time high. There are a few simple beats and in those youll find the "rewindable" verses that you may hear 30 times before catching something new. Necro took this project seriously and that is why it took over 2 years. His production was hard hitting and even had some great female chorus vocals thrown in. necros pen game is on point. Id say G Rap trumped him when it came to the verses. The feature with MR HYDE was super super technically written. If your wanting to dance go get a future cd. This is brooklyn infused with queens hardcore hip hop at its finest

Comment: I've always liked Necro's production and it goes well with Kool G Rap's style. I agree with a previous poster that the vocals are a little loud. I dug Necros death rap style back in the day but not as much now, but still respect his hustle.

Comment: this album is legitimately fire. the beats bang, HARD. kool g rap spazzes out. the only downsides are a lot of necro's hooks are terrible and he gets embarrassed lyrically on over half the album. he does spit some hard verses on this album though. better than he's been in years. mr.hyde is one of the worst rappers I have ever heard, and he ruins one of the best songs on the album "wolf eyes" by rapping about creatures and cretins in a white nerd voice that made me bury my face in my hands. one of the worst verses I have ever heard along side kool g rap, including all the european features he's done for scratch over the years. in the end, I will salute necro for providing a dense sound bed for kool g to deliver on. good work necro. the last track is one of the dopest beats i've heard in a long time. incredible.

G Rap came NASTY as ALL hell with his patented multi's, & Necro's distinct personality & voice evened it all out. His production was top notch in modern NY classic! Nyc all day, everyday, right here!

Comment: Necro had some off the wall funny ass shit in the 90's and early 000's, after Pre-Fix his verses got too recycled for to me, but production is always tight, mad respect tho. As for G.Rap, if your not a fan you should stop listing to hip hop, hoping he motivated necro to step his lyric game up. Anyway, this is a must cop album for all tru heads.

Comment: @ bomb AKA bumb: How does recognizing a dude with no talent transfer to being a virgin? you make no sense and we are all dumber for having read your comment. necro needs to: 1. get a speech therapist and work on that lisssssp 2. read a book and enhance his vocab 3. layoff the knishes bc he is getting winded in his verses 4. get a flow. he just rambles on with no style F Necro, ILL BILL is the future

Comment: Kool G Rap and the guy who sounds like him. hmmmm? I like some of Necro's production but not my cup of tea with regards of Emceeing. We will see though. This could be a hidden gem. @ ESH from LA, are you ok bro? Why are you so mad? Are you collecting Necro's royalties? People are entitled to their opinions so take your own advice and do not listen to the people on here if you do not want to succumb to it. I will give Necro credit for doing his own thing and never selling out to what he is.

Comment: Is it that it hurts many kids to see their fellow whiteboy rapper actually be successful in this art? Every rap act has their "niche". (Em's " I kill joo" style, Jedi Minds' "we rap like we sound like the Road Warriors" vocals & now we gone see necro mix his death-multi's combined with G Rap. I don't see an issue, I see progression.

Comment: Or we came here only to find the joy of a G Rap album dampened lyrics that had they not come from Necblow you too would hate. But bc Necblow fans ride his jock harder than a PBR champ you won't admit how pathetic he truly truly is at rapping. His lyrics and context are so underdeveloped I bet that someone spit them in a freestyle they would get knocked out by the dude Slaine knocked out.

Comment: i champion g rap only and him over necro beats would of been nice, but not with necro spitting the same lame shit, I was a big necro fan, but im 26 now, I grew outta that some years ago, fact is this would of been a good album with necro staying behind the boards as his beats are top notch, but any adult still religously listening to necro got problems

Comment: @Nathan R.i am in total agreement with ya on that 1,as far as i'm concearned necro is the shit point blank and as far as the haters go let em talk cause that's all its gonna amount to,besides what does it say when your willing to come a page of an artist that u don't like and talk shit about them, desparate for attention guys? really???

Comment: Nope. Necros 90 stuff is wack. If anything Necro has gotten BETTER through the years. All his early skits/raps are lame. Later... 1/2 of I need drugs is pretty good, gory days is his worst album with only 3 sick tracks (Dead Body Disposal, You're All F*N Dying, and Circle of Tyrants). After Gory Days past Necro really got serious. Polished his shit, started to expand his style. His beats have always been the best. If you hate Necro, i'm glad. Here's a good question; Do people just talk shit, is there anything you do like? Maybe other loosers?

Comment: Sick. Can't wait for the madness. Whoever said NECRO peaked in the 90's is confused. Necro's 1st album came out in 1999... How about Street Villains Vol. 1 & 2. Prefix For Death was crazy good. Circle of Tyrants. The list goes on. For Hiphophead999 of course Necro is a dick, what do you expect dumb-a$$. Did you want him to hold your hand and skip to the track?

Comment: G.Raps verse was dope as fuck! And the beat was ill too. Necro should do more collabo albums like this but just stick to the production side of things. Not sure if it's just me but it always seems like Necros vocals are mixed way too loud. Oh well, I'm sure there's gonna be some killer songs on this one.

Comment: NECRO is one of the biggest faggots ever. He has an ego bigger than Kanye fucking West: he regularly talks shit to his OWN FUCKING FANS. Saw this clown ban and cuss out a dude on his FB page after the poor guy commented something like "I like your new album, but I liked your first album better". NECRO called him a bitch and said "THIS FAGGOT HOMO PUSSY IS BANNED FROM MY PAGE." Who the fuck doe that to their fans? That being said, Kool G Rap is a fucking legend. Fuck NECRO, I'll cop this to support KGR. (And before some hillbilly faggot NECRO dick eater accuses me of being racist, I'm white and I hate NECRO so don't even start)
