Comment: i believe that the Pharcyde headlining concert I attended was the first ever, and I mean ever and you can ask them in person that LABCABINCALIFORNIA songs were performed for the first time and they even said it on stage, yes at De Anza College in the city of Cupertino in 1995 and a few miles from the "Zae" (San Jose for short) where im from. this was before I graduated from highschool in 96 and then attended this college.

Comment: it was at De Anza College on the track & field lawn was were my first Headlining Concert experience in the summer of 1995, there was the main headliner the Pharcyde. just to prove it actually happened photos were taken of each of the them performing on stage which ended up in the back ground of the liner notes and credits of LABCABINCALIFORNIA Tre was drinking a bottle of snapple which also ended up as a photo on the inside of the album cover. They did all Hit songs from both albums at the time. Also Headling was the B.U.M.S (Brothas Unda Madness) comin with the hit song 'Elevation'(Free My Mind). And one of the experiences I remember at this show was Tha Alkaholiks doin thier hits from 93 album 'Mary Jane' and then Coast II Coast, during their performance the power went out and I cant remember if it was Tash or J-ro on the mic but the power started like 30 to 45 min later and it was back to buisness. Some of the opening acts that where there was Mystic Journeymen, they were slanging tapes in the crowd, Bored Stiff, Lyrics Born (maybe aka Asia Born at the time) and Dawn Pen No No No and then a House/Hip Hop dance crew. The whole Hieroglyphics showed up or most of them were there but they didnt perform. And thats all I remember... This show was one of my first concert experiences and the best thing about it wasnt that it was a packed house or should I say field but it was absolutely free, all you had to do was donate canned food and that was it.

Comment: This album brings back memories. I was listening to this when I first started driving legally. When I was 13 I was driving, listening to "Please Don't Pull Me Over Mr. Officer" on Bizarre Ride. I grew up on those 2 Albums.

Comment: Yo I'm an East Coast Kat but I really like this album. From the Beats to the Lyrics to the Harmony. Definitely real Hip-Hop. This LP was actually before my time and dropped when I was a lil' n*gga. The first album a bought was Nas - It was written back in '96 as a 12 year old so its good to back track and discover good music. So put the needle on the record or CD in the chamber and roll one cause Labcabincalifornia is some laid back shit. And that's my 2 cents - Black History....Big -Ups to NC!!!!
